General Hospital Update for Monday, 14-Jul-2003

Today's episode was quite exciting as an imprisoned Carly almost freed herself from her prison of many weeks. She begged a shocked Liz to free her. But, Liz passed out, and Carly fought to reach the cell phone as Ric reappeared. Now, Liz knows that thE SICK Ric did abduct a pregnant Carly. This poor baby.... LIZ has experienced a blood clot that burst, according to Dr. Tony. It must have been the birth control pills that Ric was secretly giving to her that caused the clot. Will he now have to finish off his beloved Liz to conceal his secret? Who knows? Ric is in serious need of Cameron's psychiatric help. This guy Ric is ridiculous to the point that the plot is a little farfetched.It's time to end this storyline, is it not?
In the meantime, Faith wants to pull out of her agreement with FBI man Brown. Sonny is only pining for HIS Carly sooooo. After an intense time with the controlling Lorenzo Alcazar, Faith announces that she really loves Ric.Is she working all sides of this endeavor? One thinks so.It was actually strange to see the mob girl shed tears. :-)Brown tells her that she must continue to play the role of Sonny's mistress or be sent to prison.
Nikolas comes to read to a chemo -sodden Emily til she slumbers. Zander observes ,and realizes how very much Nik really cares for EM. Zander thanks Nik for watching over Emily. When Emily awakes, she calls for Nikolas, but Zander is there..Does Emily have mixed feelings for these two devoted men? Lucky is out to prove to Nik that Lydia is not ready for marriage. He kisses her in the hospital elevator while a security camera tapes their hot moment of chemical electricity.A New Lydia( with red hair) tells Nik that Lucky groped her and is dangerous. IS Lucky attracted to her or just trying to prove a point to the kind Nikolas? He just lost Summer sooooo. This is puzzling to behold.Where is the former Lydia? (This viewer misses her.)This one can act, but..
There is a sweet scene between a cute Dillon and Georgie. They are both at the courthouse. Dear old Granddaddy Edward comes to bail Dillon out. Scott asks: " Which grandson have you come to bail out?" As usual, Jason has been hauled in , and ,of course, Dillon is there too. When Dillon blows up at Edward for talking down to Georgie, she loves his courage. Dillon will not apologize sooooo he may spend some time in jail.Dillon is a superb new actor . The FLEE AWAY episode reminded me of a youthful adventure with Lucky and Liz.
A pathetic, unbalanced , unthinking Ric pleads with Elizabeth to forgive him. What will Ric do now? Will Carly eventually escape? Tune in tomorrow to see.
