General Hospital Update for Monday, 19-May-2003

This was a most exciting day on General Hospital! As usual, Guza left us hanging in midair. By the way ,congratulations to Robert Guza for winning his Emmy for writing and to Maurice( Sonny) for his Emmy as outstanding lead actor. YEA! No wonder, I dig GH and have for years.It's simply a well done soap. NO BIAS HERE. :-) Now, here are the facts:Zander feels totally confused because Emily is up and down with her love for him. Monica and Allan told her that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes sooo she has freaked out. She knows that she needs chemo. She fears that she will die as her mom did. At this time, poor Zander does not know how to help her.He just knows that his love is still strong for" his Emily." One hopes that she will see how much she needs his unconditional love and support.
Ned looks very suspiciously at the new butler, Dobson, or rather a funny, disguised Alexis. AN ASIDE:( WHy didn't this fab actress win an Emmy for lead actress? She is great!)Alexis has missed her appointment with her new Shrink so she could be in trouble.Skye has become somewhat too involved with beautiful baby Kristina. When Dobson overhears Ned talking to Skye, a jealous Dobson(Alexis) starts crying and runs out only to encounter Cameron. Oh no!Skye has been told by a doctor that she is not able to carry a baby for 9 months so she is devastated. Will she become too "motherly" to little Kristina ? One can only observe to see. Of course, this viewer is really proud of Skye's maternal qualities. EXcept, TOO much mothering may be an obsession.
A happy Courtney and Jason tell an elated Carly that they are getting married. Even a kinder ,more open Sonny toasts them and truly seems to be happy too. Sonny loves Jason like a brother soooooo.
In the meantime, Ric has found out that Elizabeth is pregnant with his child. He is sooooo happy that he promises Liz that he will stop his nasty vendetta with Sonny. He also tells her that taking care of her and the baby is what he wants to do. Naturally, the lovely evil Witch from The East.. ,Faith, overhears Ric declare his love for Liz and their child. She is about to knock Liz brainless on the dock when Emily appears. Liz tells Emily that she is pregnant.She also says that Ric has turned out to be "a nightmare, but she loves him." One hopes that Ric is sincere. A jealous Faith needs to be harnessed before she strikes again with a venomous haste.That last snake was not poisonous, but the next one could lead to Liz's demise. Ric has warned a frantic Faith to stay far away from Elizabeth. Will she do it? NOOOOOOOOOo.
Maxie and Kyle go to Carly's club. They have false IDS. Maxie is feeling down so" a creep" gives her ecstasy. When she passes out, Scott is called. Georgia begs Maxie to come straight with Mac concerning Kyle. The drug pusher had given Maxie tainted ecstasy which could have Killed her. Mac jumps on Jason whom he thinks may have given Maxie this fatal drug. In fact, Scott and Mac hit Sonny and Jason hard. When Ric goes to see Sonny about dropping his vendetta, Sonny asks him if he had anything to do with this dangerous mishap.Will Sonny be held responsible or will Ric be framed? Tune in tomorrow to see some loose ends come together.By the way, Lucas told Georgia that he should never have kissed her. WHAT A BUMMER!THe Quartermain guy is a cutie, Georgia, so get over Lucas.
