General Hospital Update for Monday, 28-Apr-2003

General Hospital is full of twists and turns today! Infact,it is full of what could be.. new beginnings and re-assurances. Sonny has found an almost unconscious Jason on the floor at Ric's apartment. Ric and his hostage Courtney have fled. Ric wants Sonny to see his painting of a lovely cottage on Martha's Vineyard. As Sonny ponders and gazes at this painting, he sees himself with his beloved mom there .. in a porch swing.He wonders what this connection is supposed to mean. He asks Jason to stay behind while he goes to meet RIc in this familiar place. Yet, Jason is not happy with Sonny's request.
Emily is the center of concern as she lies in GH. Zander, of course, still thinks that she is addicted to a pain killer. After doing a biopsy on Emily's breast, Dr. Monica, her adopted mom, tells her that the small lump in her breast is malignant. Em immediately goes into this rather dramatic tirade about how doctors take a piece of your body and continue to do so as they cut away at "A LUMP OF CLAY". She thinks she will end up sick as her mother and die anyway. Naturally, she is afraid of "The Sickness". Monica who has survived breast cancer tells her that her cancerous lump may be in the very early stages and can be removed surgically without any problems. Emily is definitely fighting the traditional methods such as chemo, etc. Monica tries to calm her and reassure her of MODERN MEDICAL advances for treating breast cancer.
Tracey says goodbye to her son Dylan. She asks him to stay with his grandparents for a while.Of course, Dylan is not too pleased with her leaving him behind. Ned tells the arguing Quatermaines to leave Dylan alone.Perhaps Dylan can hook up with cute Georgie as his friend.He will need a pal..:-)
Carly tries to explain the difference between a biological father(AJ) and a loving devoted daD like Sonny. Yet, Michael is still perplexed. He is so afraid that his mommy and daddy will love the new baby more than he. Michael tells Carly :"I am only connected to dAddy through love.. not biologically." An unhappy, confused, little Michael shows up at THE Quartermaine home to discuss all of this with AJ.He has sneaked out while Elizabeth is arguing with Carly about Ric. Liz tells Carly that Ric will die because of her rape accusation. As a former victim of rape, Liz says: " Carly, being raped is something a person never forgets." A heated argument pursues as Jason rushes in and demands to know more about Ric's cottage.No one has noticed that Michael is missing..
Gia sees Nickolas( Tyler) ,and they are very polite to each other. Wishing each other well, they depart. Gia takes lovely flowers to Emily , and runs into a worried Zander.Zander blames himself for the bus accident which almost left Emily paralyzed. Gia tries to reassure him that Em's addiction is not his fault.She thinks that he has punished himself enough.Later, Zander makes love to Emily, and tells her that she's the only one he will ever love and desire. He mentions something about" her perfect body" ,and she cringes.When will she tell Zander what is really happening?
Will Ric finally reveal his reason for this evil vendetta against Sonny? Tune in tomorrow to see as a puzzled Sonny draws closer to Ric's hideout.
