General Hospital Update for Monday, 3-Feb-2003

Friday's show left us hanging with Brenda telling Jason that she can't sign the annulment papers because she loves him. Monday's show begins with Brenda explaining the judge that she can't sign the papers because even though they fight a lot, she still loves him. Jason looks at her like she is crazy! The judge tells Jason that he is a lucky man to have her and he can't force Brenda to sign the papers. Jason pays the judge and he leaves. Jason then asks Brenda why she doesn't want to get the annulment from him. She then confesses to Jason that things are moving too fast for her with Jax and that she wants more time to stand on her own two feet before she marries Jax and that she knows that as soon as she signs the papers that Jason won't be her friend anymore. Brenda begins to cry and tells Jason that she must not make any sense and Jason tells her that this is the first time that she has made any sense. They then leave the hut and decide to head home.

Back in Port Charles, Jax meets with Elton at Kelly's to get some wedding ideas from him. Elton has prepared a sample invitation for him. Jax tells him that he wants lots of flowers. Courtney stops to talk to Jax and tells him if she gets married again, it will be the last. Skye then comes in and Jax has to defend her again to Scott. Jax then goes home to find Brenda waiting for him. Jax gives Brenda a present that turns out to be an invitation to their wedding! Brenda then tells Jax that she couldn't get the annulment.

Sonny learns that Ned and Faith have teamed up to take him down. He and Ned exchange some words and Sonny issues Ned a threat. After Sonny leaves, Ned becomes furious with Faith for lying to him. He tells her he wants to end the partership, but they work things out and remain partners.

Sonny decides to that he doesn't want Courtney anywhere near his life. He asks Ric to find out of state colleges...the further the better! Carly tries to tell Sonny that going away might not be what Courtney wants, but he insists that ther is nothing holding here in Port Charles.

After returning from his trip, Jason goes to the loft to find Courtney. He tells her that he is still married to Brenda. Courtney asks him if she finally realized what a great guy she had and Jason tried to explain to Courtney what Brenda's reasons were for wanting to drag the annulment process out. He then tells her that he doesn't want to keep this relationship a secret anymore from Sonny.

Alexis opens the door as herself to Cameron. He tells her that he followed her the Kristina's grave sight. She gets upset about that and then, he then asks her to have dinner with him. She agrees and as they are walking home, they stop to talk at the pier. Cameron brings up Kristina to Alexis and she starts to tell Cameron about her and they are interupted by Zander. Zander tells Alexis that Cameron is his father. Alexis tells Cameron that he should worry more about his own family before he gives advice to her about her family. Alexis leaves, but arrives at the docks later dressed like Kristina and is almost caught by Ned!
