General Hospital Update for Friday, 31-Jan-2003

Yesterday left off having viewer's worried that someone had killed Sonny and Carly! While Sonny and Carly danced in her new club a man walked in and started firing! Sonny throws Carly to the ground and covers her to protect her. Upstairs in Kelly's, Courtney, Elizabeth, Rick and the patrons heard the gunfire. While everyone is scrambling about Rick runs outside and sees a man feeling from the scene. He grabs him,and then Sonny and Carly appear outside Kelly's and Carly claims it was the man who fired at them.The patrons of Kelly's come running outside and Sonny claims it was "firecrackers" and then tells Elizabeth and Courtney to take everyone inside. Sonny is upset but questions the stranger as the police sirens become close. He gives the man the option of taking a walk with him down by the peer or letting him go. Eventually Sonny lets him go but only to have Rick follow him.

Mac shows up and warns him that there better not be another mob war. Sonny tells him that kids were playing with firecrackers in the basement.

Meanwhile, inside Kelly's Courtney takes Sonny's lead and avoids any questions from Elizabeth. When Courtney mentions Jason going to the Dominican with Brenda to get an anullment Elizabeth becomes petty at the mention of his name. She insults Courtney and baits her into an argument.Courtney just reminds her that she blew it with Jason and tells her to deal with it.

While on the plane to the Dominican Brenda keeps bugging Jason about Courtney. She also gets plane sick and aggravates Jason with her constant whining. When they arrive in the Domincan a storm does not let them get the marriage anulled and they are stuck in a jungle hut together. Jason pays the driver to bring him a judge to perform the anullment. While they wait they argue and Brenda asks him why Sonny doesn't know about him and Courtney.

In Port Charles, Jax and Skye are at her place when Taggert and Scott Baldwin barge in accusing her of murdering Alcazar, but Skye tells them she didn't do it even though she cannot remember much of that night. Jax offers Skye a way out by offering to send her to Lisbaine with new Identification and money to start a new life but she declines. AJ drops by to tell her that the cops know they paid Ida to lie and that they are asking him alot of questions. She tells AJ that she knows the way to win Jax back is by playing the helpless victim and that she is not worried because she didn't kill Alcazar.

Ned shows up at Faith's room demanding to know why she would send a shooter to Kelly's during the day. She assures him it wasn't her and takes him to bed! When Ned goes to the bathroom she hears knock on the door and its the shooter! He is upset because he thinks Sonny will kill him. Faith assures he will be well compensated and tells him to leave. Meanwhile Rick reports back to Sonny about where the shooter went.

Carly was upset so goes back to see Michael.

Elizabeth tells Rick that Jason and Courtney are together and Rick gets this strange look on his face. He also tells her that Sonny may not appreciate the idea of them being together.

Dr. Lewis encounters Alexis talking to the baby but she is oblivious to her surroundings and claims she has memory lapses. He decides to follow her and when he knocks on her apartment door, she can't hear him because she is busy trying on a red wig to make herself look like Christina! Her strange behaviour tells Dr. Lewis there is something very wrong.

Ned goes to answer Faith's door and there is Sonny!

While in the bathroon, Faith tells Edward the plan is working!

Jason signs the anullment and Brenda can't bring herself to sign it stating "I love him"!!! But we don't know who she is referring to.
