General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 21-Jan-2003

@ at the pier on the waterfront....

Lucky watches as Scott strikes up a deal with Senator Jordan. When the Senator leaves, Lucky confronts Scott. Meanwhile, Laura seems to be leaving a message for Luke, saying that she misses him.

Lucky tells Scott that Jordan beats up women and confronts Scott about the bribe. Lucky takes him to Laura’s apartment. Once they arrive, Lucky explains what happened and Laura is very upset with Lucky for going against her wishes.

Laura continues to recall the events and admits that she didn’t go to the police because of their attitude towards prostitutes (disbelief). Scott leaves and promises to send a police car over.

Later, Scott secretly meets with Jordan while Laura, Lucky and a detective stay hidden. Scott gives Jordan his money back and confronts him about beating up Laura. Jordan explains that Laura threatened to blackmail him and that she deserved it. Scott warns Jordan to not hurt Laura or he will come after him, Senator or not. Laura apologises to Lucky and thanks Scott for standing up for her. Scott offers Laura a ride back to her place, Lucky watches them with susupiscious eyes.

@ GH in Zander's room...

Gia pleads Cameron to help Zander but he refuses. Gia tells Cameron that he judges his own son. Cameron continues to tell Gia that Zander is no longer his responsibility and that he can’t change anything. He admits that he doesn’t respect his son because he is a coward. He goes on about how Zander wasn’t careful on the day of Peter’s death. Zander wakes up and agrees with his father. Zander explains how his father was and how he had his favourite son and his other son, he recalls the events of that day. Cameron agrees and leaves his room. Gia apologises to Zander for judging him in the past and that she now understands everything that happened to him. Zander recalls the day of his brother’s accident and becomes very emotional.


Nicolas walks in on their conversation and is very upset with Gia for missing their dinner date. Nicolas demands to know why Gia has suddenly changed and become friends with Zander. Gia tells him that she wants to help Zander to give him a second chance... Nicolas leaves upset.

Cameron later returns to Zander’s room and when he approaches him Zander wakes up and tells him to stay away.


@ Sonny's penthouse...

Alexis shows up at Sonny’s penthouse and is confronted by Carly. She tells her that she will no longer be representing Jason and Brenda in the murder trial due to a non-urgent surgery that baby Kristina must have. Carly claims that Alexis is turning over the case because she wants revenge on Jason and Sonny. Alexis explains that her daughter is her first priority and that Sonny and Carly should understand this and she leaves. Later, Carly interrogates Sonny about his plans and reassures her that you can never get back the past.


@ the pier on the waterfront...

Brenda explains her plan to leave town to Jason. She urges him to follow her to Lisbourne to meet Jax. She tells Jason about the fake fight Jax staged in front of Scott in order to make him believe that they were no longer together so he would give them a break. Jason agrees to leave with Brenda and tells her that he will make the necessary arrangements. Jason tells Sonny that he will be leaving the country with Brenda and a worried Carly hugs Jason while he is leaving.


@ Jason & Courtney's loft....

Jason tells Courtney about leaving the country and she wants to go with him. Courtney refuses to give in when Jason tells her that she can’t go away with him. Jason reassures Courtney, he tells her that doesn’t want to loose her. Courtney finally agrees and promises him that she will wait for him.

@ GH at the nursing station....

Ned walks in the hospital to see Kristina and Bobbie warns him that she has been transferred to another hospital for surgery. Cameron catches up with Ned and is stunned to learn that Alexis took Kristina away without warning him. Ned tells Cameron that he will start to fight back. Cameron defends Alexis, telling Ned to take it easy on her, that she will come around. Cameron is unable to convince Ned.


Outside....

Ned meets up with Faith who is upset with him for being late. Ned explains what Alexis has done and she tells him to forget about the mother of his child and his daughter. Ned gets a little bit defensive and they engage in a passionate kiss.


@ meeting place for Brenda & Jason's departure...

Sonny goes to meet Jason but sees Brenda instead, a very strong connection is felt. Brenda becomes nostalgic and admits to Sonny that she wonders how her life would be if she had made different decisions in her life. Sonny reassures Brenda, he tells her that he is depending on Jason to take care of her while Sonny does everything he can to clear both of their names. Later, Jason meets Brenda, gives her the passport and tells her that he is not leaving.
