General Hospital Update for Friday, 11-Oct-2002

Skye and Jax are at the hospital. Jax says he can’t feel his legs or the sheets on them. He tells Skye to feel his leg and she says it’s too soon to tell anything. He grabs his leg and then punches it saying he can’t feel it and that he’s paralyzed.

Scott and Taggert are at the DA’s office and are talking about Alcazar being out of the ICU. Scott says he wants him booked on the day of the debate.

Alexis, Ned, Lucky, Gia and Nicholas are at Kelly’s. They’re trying to pressure Alexis so that she will tell them what Scott has on her.

Jason and Courtney walk Mike into Courtney’s apartment. Mike is drunk and claims that he does not have a son, and that he only has Courtney. He lays down for a nap.

Carly opens the penthouse door to find Brenda on the other side. She meets Michael and asks to speak with Sonny alone. Carly appears none to pleased.

Courtney and Jason have a heart to heart. Mike wakes up and sees them talking. He walks in the room and accuses Jason of hitting on Courtney.

Alexis says Scott is bluffing. Gia says Alexis’ personal life should have nothing to do with the campaign. The trio (Nik, Gia, and Lucky) leave Kelly’s and decide that they are going to find out what Scott has on Alexis. Alexis mentions to Ned that maybe she should bring up Alcazar at the debate in order to take the focus off of Sonny. Ned says it could work, unless Scott knows that she’s pregnant with Sonny’s child.

Carly takes Michael upstairs. Brenda tells Sonny that Taggert is now claiming she asked Alcazar to kill both Sonny and Jax. Sonny tells her that he will take care of her. She tells him that she doesn’t want him to take care of her, and that she just wanted to let him know what was going on. Sonny gets a call from Jason and has to leave.

Skye tells Jax that the paralysis could be temporary. Jax wants to know how she knew about the paralysis, and figures out that Brenda told her. He tells her that he wants to see his doctor and that he doesn’t want her to be there.

Lucky, Gia, and Nik try to decide on a plan to get information from Scott.

Alexis tells Ned that there is no way Scott could know about Sonny being the father of her child.

Brenda tries to use the phone at the penthouse to call a cab, but Carly blocks her and says she is not going anywhere.

At the hospital, the surgeon tells Jax that there is significant swelling. He says that they had to rebuild with bone grafts and support rods because the bullet fractured multiple parts of the vertebrae. He says Jax is paralyzed from the waist down but is unsure for how long. Jax says he wants to start physical therapy tonight and that he will walk out of there within one month. Monica is in the hallway with Skye and tells her that there is a chance Jax could spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

Carly tells Brenda never to show up on their doorstep again. Brenda asks why Carly is o afraid of her.

Courtney tells Mike that he is wrong about Jason. Mike apologizes. Sonny shows up and yells at Jason for calling Courtney to get Mike from the bar. Courtney sticks up for Jason and tells Sonny that it is his fault that Mike is in his current condition.

Outside of the DA’s office, Lucky and Nicholas are dressed as servicemen. They are planning on saying that they are repairing a leaky pipe above Scott’s office. Gia knocks on the door calling for Scott. She opens the door and Taggert is found inside.

Scott shows up at Kelly’s. Alexis pulls him aside. She tells him that if he brings up anything personal that he’ll regret it.

Jax tells Skye he needs her help to support him and continue to push him to work and get better.

Alexis says she’ll drag Theresa Carter into this if she has to. Scott says he’ll stick to the issues during the debate.

Sonny takes Mike out in the hall and yells at him for what he is putting Courtney through. Mike comes back in and apologizes to Courtney.

Carly tells Brenda to go bother Jax. Brenda tells Carly that Jax might be paralyzed.

Monica tells Skye to go home and rest. Meanwhile, Jax is in his room dreaming of dancing with Skye, who suddenly turns into Brenda. He wakes up in a cold sweat calling out for Skye.

Gia gets Taggert to leave the DA’s office, and the boys break into the office. Of course,
Scott walks in.

Jason and Courtney take Mike home. They get back to Courtney’s place and Jason offers to stay with her. Courtney says that it won’t be necessary. Jason leaves. Courtney receives an email on her laptop. She opens the message and sees herself on the monitor. Every move she makes, she can see it staring back at her on the screen.

Skye gets home and breaks some of the crystal wedding gifts. She breaks down, crying on the couch.

Jax sees the phone on the other side of the room. He fights to sit up, and get to the end of the bed. He tries to stand up and his legs buckle underneath him as he falls to the floor in pain.

Carly asks if the reason Brenda is there is because of Jam’s condition. (Implying that since Jax might be “damaged goods” then she’s coming after Sonny). They exchange words and Carly tells her to get out. Brenda starts banging her head on the wall in the hallway. Sony comes up on the elevator and tries to stop her. Carly looks through the doorway and sees Sonny and Brenda together.

Scenes:
Jason tells Courtney, “The more you know about what you are dealing with, the better your chances are of getting rid of this guy.”

Scott says to Lucky and Nicholas, “All you have to do is admit Alexis set you up and I will drop the charges.”

Sonny is trying to get Brenda’s attention, “Brenda, Brenda” as Carly looks on.

Jax is on the floor of the hospital in pain.
