General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 8-Oct-2002

Okay, hopefully I didn’t miss anything!

@ Jason’s
As Zander is sitting on the couch watching a news bulletin about what happened the night before between Sonny/Jax/Brenda, he starts to remember events from his past. He remembers everything from when he kidnapped Emily to when Liz got shot. Liz comes down and wonders what’s wrong with him because he was in another dimension. She asks him if he has started to remember things. He lies and tells her that he hasn’t.

@ Hospital (Alcazar’s Room)
Alcazar wakes up to find Jason standing over him in the dark. Jason calmly informs him that he can pretty much guarantee that if Alcazar makes it out of the hospital alive, he won’t stay that way for long.

@ Sonny’s
Carly is reeling from her meeting with Brenda and begins to take it out on Sonny, calling him every name in the book and saying that he should have trusted her enough to tell her about Brenda. Sonny tries unsuccessfully to reassure his wife that he loves her not Brenda.

@ Hospital (Jax’s Room)
Skye tells Brenda that unless she’s family, Jax needs to sleep and asks her to come back tomorrow. Brenda quickly apologizes, but suddenly Skye recognizes her from pictures. Brenda affirms who she is. Skye starts to put two and two together about who her husband was with when he disappeared and that this was all because of her. Brenda tells Skye that all she wanted to do was warn Jax and wants him to be happy. Skye assures her that they are and will be happy. Jax wakes up and tells Skye that Brenda saved his life.

@ Sonny’s
Carly continues to rant and rave about how now that Brenda is alive, Sonny can now go an be with the real love of his life. Sonny explains his reasons for keeping Brenda’s reappearance a secret from her and that until the night before Brenda didn’t even know that Sonny was alive, doesn’t that count for something? He wonders. Carly realizes why Jason had called her to go and be with Sonny so that he could protect “Saint Brenda”. She says that despite the fact Brenda didn’t know, she does now and that changes everything.

@ Jason’s
Zander fills Liz in on what’s happened. Immediately Liz asks about Jason. Zander tells her that Jason is fine, but that Jax was shocked, but get this, Sonny is actually alive. Liz is in total shock and thinks that Zander has made a mistake. Jason wouldn’t lie to her like that. Zander tries to ease the blow by telling her that Brenda has also returned, but it doesn’t ease Ms. Webber.

@ Hospital (Alcazar’s Room) (quite the popular place today!)
Alcazar tries to threaten Jason by wondering who they would go after if something were to happen to him in the hospital. Jason assures him that NOTHING will happen to him in the hospital, except a speedy recovery. But, when he has gotten out of the hospital and is getting on with his so called life, that is when he should start to worry. Taggert shows up and is not surprised to find Jason in the room. Jason informs Taggert that he was visiting a friend. Alexis arrives and listens at the door as Taggert his version of events, that Alcazar hired Roy to set the bomb, etc. Alexis walks in and with a sneer in her voice Alexis asks if this is the man that killed her sister. Monica comes in and interrupts the “gathering” and says that although Alcazar may be a murderer, he is still a patient and orders everyone out. Before leaving, Alexis assures Alcazar that if he did kill her sister, she will be back and he will pay. Outside the room Taggert tells Monica that he will need a statement from her about the kidnapping. Monica tells him that she had the opportunity to kill him and didn’t and is wondering if she made the right decision.

@ Hospital (Nurses’ Station)
Alexis catches up with Jason and wants some information about Alcazar. Jason is reluctant at first, but when Alexis asks him what he would do if Emily had been murdered, he agrees to answer some questions.

@ Jason’s
Liz is thoroughly pissed at how Jason “deceived” her. She doesn’t know why she has put herself through all the worrying and staying up late over a man who won’t even be honest with her. Why should she subject herself to it any longer? She tells Zander that she needs to leave and asks him to go with her. Zander says thanks but no thanks, he wants to do this on his own. He wants to make a life for himself that is better than the one he had before.

@ Sonny’s
Carly assumes that with Brenda alive, she will rush right into Sonny’s outstretched arms and they will pick up where they left off. (this next part was really hilarious) Sonny informs his wife that she should take out the rights to a book on psychoanalysis with emphasis on psycho, because that’s how she is behaving! (Sonny’s EXACT words!!!). For the millionth time, he tells her that he just wants to be with her, can’t he have that? And for the millionth time Carly says no, because SHE doesn’t want to be with him.

@ Hospital (Jax’s Room)
Jax fills in Skye about what happened and how Brenda actually saved his life. Brenda accidentally lets it slip that she was with Jax on his wedding night. Jax tells Skye that he had asked Brenda stay even though she wanted to leave, because he needed answers. Brenda leaves and Skye asks her husband if he would have still married her had he known that Brenda was alive before. She quickly apologizes and tells him not to answer that. Jax does and tells her that it wouldn’t have mattered at all, because he is head over heels in love with her and they will go on their honeymoon. He admits that he hated keeping it from her, but he had to until Alcazar was taken care of. Skye admits that she is trying to understand and assures Jax that he hasn’t damaged anything. They kiss and make up.

@ Hospital (Alcazar’s Room)
Brenda arrives. She wants to know why he did this. Alcazar tells her that he was keeping his promise to her from going back to her old life. Brenda tells him that she can’t do that anymore, but she has nothing left for him after what he has done.

@ Sonny’s
Sonny tries a different tactic and shifts the blame to Carly about her being unstable, etc, but she doesn’t buy it. She continues to rant about Saint Brenda and he continues to assure her that he loves her and not Brenda.

@ Hospital (Nurses’ Station)
Alexis begins to ask Jason questions about Alcazar and the events leading up to Kristina’s death. He doesn’t give any answers per se, but he does nod in all the right places. She puts it together that although Sonny was indirectly responsible for her sister’s death, it was Alcazar who orchestrated the whole thing. Jason tells her that he has somewhere else to be and asks if she has everything she needs. She says that she has enough for now.

@ Jason’s
Liz is packed and ready to leave. Her suitcase is by the door when Jason comes home. He asks where she’s going. She says simply that she’s leaving. She saves Jason the trouble of telling her about Sonny and tells him that she already knows. She blasts him for being basically an inconsiderate prick and not trusting her enough to tell her. She can’t believe he would allow people to grieve unnecessarily for someone. Liz wonder’s aloud what Carly must be going through. To add flame to the fire, Jason tells her that Carly knew. Angrily Liz wants to know what goes through his head when he is doing this? Does he even care that he has ruined any chance they had together?!?

@ Sonny’s
Sonny explains to Carly that he tried to act responsibly but had no control over everything that happened. No one expected Brenda to show up and they dealt with it the best way that they could. He tells Carly about Brenda’s illness (Carly is not fazed by this information) and that although he is happy she is alive and hopes that she lives a long and full life, he wants to be with Carly not Brenda. Carly tells him that IF she believes him they can salvage something now if he leaves her, but if they stay together and he changes his mind later and leaves her for Brenda she will hate him. Sonny simply kisses her and takes her into his arms.

@ Hospital (Jax’s Room)
A small scene in which Skye tries to get Jax to go back to sleep so they can get this over with and go on their honeymoon.

@ Hospital (Alcazar’s Room)
Alcazar assures Brenda that despite her feelings she belongs to him and he will never let her go. Brenda admits that she wants to wish him dead, but she now knows how precious life is and couldn’t bring herself to wish that on anyone, even him. She reiterates that she has NOTHING left for him. Alexis returns and upon seeing a very much alive Brenda, realizes that this has all been about her. She blames Brenda for the fact that her sister is dead and her best friend is hurt. Brenda quickly apologizes and leaves, leaving the attorney alone with the man who killed her sister.

@ Jason’s
Jason tries to remind Liz that he had warned her about the secrets he would have to keep. He tells her that he hated knowing what this was doing to her, but that he had to do it. Liz tells him that she didn’t want to hear it before, but now she knows that Jason will be Sonny’s enforcer, first, last and always and she leaves.

@ Hospital (Alcazar’s Room)
An uninterested Alcazar listens as Alexis explains who she is and who Kristina was. She tells him that she is a VERY good lawyer and could easily drag him through the legal system for years, but she doesn’t want to put the people of Port Charles through that. She wanders over to his IV and as he grabs for the call button, she yanks it out of his hand and wonders aloud what would happen if she were to puncture the bag or disconnect the wire. Ned walks in and tells her not to kill Alcazar, but to let him do it. It wouldn’t be a good thing for a future DA and a mother to be to kill him but Ned on the other hand has nothing to loose and has come from a family that has been getting away with murder for years. He tells Alcazar how much loved Kristina and Alexis stops him before he smothers Alcazar with a pillow. Frustrated and angry they both leave.

@ Hospital (Jax’s Room)
Brenda watches happily as Skye assures Jax that she still loves him and always will. After spotting Brenda, Skye goes out into the hall and apologizes for her earlier behaviour. Brenda tells Skye that she will leaving town again but it will be much easier this time knowing that Jax is happy and in love. Skye offers Brenda the chance to say goodnight to Jax, which she happily takes. She literally goes into the room and says goodnight.

ON THE NEXT GENERAL HOSPITAL

1 – Liz tells Jason that she is going to treat him like someone she doesn’t know, because she doesn’t anymore.

2 – Brenda asks Edward to assure Skye that she is not there to break up their marriage.

3 – Alcazar tells Roy and Felicia that if he had only killed Sonny as instructed everything would be fine.

4 – Monica informs Skye and Jax that he either going to bleed to death or be paralyzed.
