General Hospital Update for Friday, 4-Oct-2002

PENTHOUSE-
Scott pumps Carly for dirt on Alexis. He tries to provoke her by pointing out how Sonny & Alexis� �friendship� must have hurt her feelings. When Scott threatens to have Michael taken by child protective services, Carly asks for 24 hours to think it over. Scott gives her 24 minutes. Carly agrees to help him and brings Scott a bunch of contracts prepared by Alexis but Scott doesn�t find anything useful in them. He wants personal dirt but Carly claims to know nothing that can ruin Alexis' public image. Scott continues to threaten taking Michael until Carly finally breaks down and tells Scott that Sonny and Alexis slept together. Scott wants Carly to sign an affidavit swearing her information is true but Carly only agrees to sign after Scott produces a document assuring that Michael will never be taken from her. As soon as they both sign, Scott gets a phone call confirming that Sonny is alive, well and under arrest.

KELLYS-
Alexis announces her candidacy and outlines her platform to make the community a better place to a rousing round of applause. Ned thinks her speech avoided the issues at hand and encourages her to address the subject of Sonny, before Scott uses it against her. Alexis wants to avoid the subject of Sonny altogether, but Ned is sure Scott will use it to his advantage if she doesn't nip it in the bud. Nik convinces Alexis to give the television news an interview. In the interview Alexis accuses Scott of using her condition and her associations with Sonny to draw attention from the real issues. She also says that she is totally comfortable discussing her association with Sonny.
Nik and Lucky wonder where and how Luke is.

COTTAGE-
Brenda keeps telling herself that she can't really be seeing Sonny because he is dead. Sonny explains how he staged his death. An almost hysterical Brenda warns Sonny not to touch her and screams for him to call 911. Jason arrives, calls for an ambulance, tends to Jax and tells Brenda to keep Jax awake. Brenda wants to go with Jax to the hospital but Taggart and Co. burst through the door and arrest everyone. Jax and Alcazar are taken to the hospital. Sonny demands that Brenda be released but Brenda creates a scene by screaming that it's all Sonny's fault. Jason explains what happened and Brenda reluctantly corroborates his story. Taggart instructs Brenda not to go anywhere because it seems that the case is all about her.

LAKE HOUSE-
Skye gazes lovingly at her wedding picture as she waits for Jax to return. Courtney arrives with a wedding gift, a framed verse about love being kind, etc. They bond as they compare notes on being so in much in love. Skye calls the club and get Courtney a second job. Shortly afterwards, Bobbie calls with the bad news about Jax and Skye rushes to the hospital.

GH-
Edward ridicules Alan after learning that Monica was kidnapped. He also accuses Jason of abducting his own mother. Later, Lucky asks Edward to do all he can to make sure Scott doesn�t win the post of DA.

CLUB 101-
Courtney starts her hostess job at the club and but feels uncomfortable because of the stares of some of the male patrons. When she leaves, she feels someone lurking and asks him or her to identify themselves.

GH-
At the hospital Monica tells Skye that Jax was shot by Alcazar. Skye is also shocked to learn that not only is Sonny alive but he saved Jax's life. Skye talks to Jax as he is being wheeled in to surgery and assures him everything will be OK. Jax responds by calling her Brenda.

PCPD-
Brenda confirms for Mac that if it hadn't been for Sonny, Jax would be dead. Mac releases Brenda, but of course detains Sonny and Jason. Sonny thinks he should warn Carly about Brenda. But it's too late; they literally bump into each other as Carly arrives at the station.

OUTSIDE KELLY�S-
Scott uses the interview to publicly challenge Alexis to a debate. Alexis wonders what he's up to and what he thinks he has on her. Scott counters by asking if Alexis has something to hide.
