General Hospital Update for Thursday, 12-Sep-2002

Sorry for the delay, my computer went on the blink….Here we go!

@ Courthouse
Luke is brought in under lock and key and seated at the table. The judge addresses the court and Alexis interrupts by stating that although she is no longer representing Luke, she believes strongly that Luke is under extreme emotional stress and is not acting in his own best interests. She tells the court that Luke is protecting the woman he loves.

@ Alcazar’s
Roy is demanding to see Felicia. He can’t understand why a man with Alcazar’s power and wealth needs a man like him to do his dirty work. Surely, he has a man specifically hired for assassinations. Alcazar only tells him that he is keeping a promise to the woman he loves. He promised her that he would do nothing to Sonny and if something happened to him that it won’t be on his hands. Roy tells Alcazar that he will only do what is asked if he can speak to Felicia. Alcazar makes a call on puts her on the phone. She assures Roy that she is fine and asks about the girls. Roy tells her that they are staying with Bobbie and are fine. He will get her out of this. Alcazar hangs up the phone and Roy angrily wants to know why he picked him. Alcazar tells him that he fit the bill. He has his own personal grudge against Sonny. Before leaving, Roy angrily tells him that he has no right to do this to Felicia and the girls because he WILL do what he asks.

@ Sonny’s
Carly is looking through a photo album when she overhears Skye demanding to speak to Sonny. Annoyed Carly opens the door and tells Skye that Sonny is indeed not home and she does not have time for the rat that stole her club. Skye pleads with Carly and tells her that she is desperate and here only about Jax. Reluctantly Carly lets her in and Skye begins by telling Carly that she cannot find Jax anywhere. She thinks that he may somehow be involved in this mess with Roy and Sonny and doesn’t want to see him get hurt.

@ Brenda’s Cottage
Jax shows up and is followed by Sonny who asks if on the anniversary of Brenda’s “death” is he finally ready to give up Brenda?

@ Yacht
Alcazar shows up in Brenda’s “room” and brings her some things to keep her busy. Brenda wonders why he is all smiles. He tells her that his work in Port Charles is at its end and they will be leaving town tomorrow. Brenda reminds him that she has stayed with him because she didn’t want her “disease” to affect Sonny and Jax. She wanted to protect them from what she could “become”. She doesn’t regret a single moment that she has spent with him, but he is different and she doesn’t enjoy being his prisoner. Alcazar tells her that it won’t be for much longer. He assures her that although he can’t guarantee to her that nothing will happen to Sonny or Jax he can guarantee that it won’t be on his hands if something does happen. This is for her own good and will be over soon.


@ Brenda’s Cottage

Sonny and Jax trade insults about each other ruined Brenda’s life. Sonny reminds him that Brenda loved HIM way before he showed up. Jax informs Sonny that his (Sonny’s) love for Brenda nearly drove her insane. Sonny retorts by stating that by loving Brenda, Jax eventually killed her as he watched her go over the cliff.

@ Sonny’s
Carly explains the significance of the cottage to Jax’s life. She explains that Jax lived there with Brenda and on the anniversary of her death he is probably there right now remembering her. Skye doesn’t want to believe Carly’s theory. Carly informs her that she overheard one of Sonny’s men tell him that Jax is at the cottage so she can confirm it. Skye asks Carly to be straight with her and tell her the real deal between Brenda and Jax. Carly tells her that she thinks Brenda is only woman Jax truly has and ever will love.

@ Court-House
The judge denies Alexis’s request and announces that based on Luke’s record and plea of guilty in the murder of Rick Webber, finds him guilty and will be remanded into custody until the sentencing hearing.

@ Sonny’s
Carly continues her explanation of Brenda’s connection between Sonny and Jax. She think that Brenda used Jax and Jax bought it all because he believed Brenda was perfect and could do no wrong. She tells Skye that Brenda would jump between the two and Jax would take her back every time. Skye thanks Carly for being so informative and before she leaves Carly tells her the address of the cottage. As Skye leaves, Jason arrives and tells Carly that they are going to meet Sonny.

@ Alcazar’s
As Brenda and Alcazar reminisce about their life, we learn that Alcazar had rescued Brenda from the water and saved her. Alcazar tells her that she was not supposed to die that night, she was supposed to live. They will soon be leaving Port Charles and she will have no reason to want to come back. After Alcazar leaves Brenda handles the flare gun and tries to figure out how to best use the gun.

@ Dock’s
Sonny is seen standing alone on the dock, while Roy sneaks up behind him on the stairs and waits. Roy’s plan is thwarted when Jason and Carly arrive. Roy listens as Sonny explains that he wanted Alcazar to see that he is not hiding. The next move is his. Carly reminds him that he promised to stay with her for life, so he better be careful.

@ Court-House
Lucky thanks Nikolas for showing up for the trial even though he has a different reaction to the whole situation. Nikolas tells his bro that he is there for him. Nikolas departs as Alexis arrives. She tells him that despite what he might think, Luke does not know what he is doing and could easily get 10 years in prison. She pleads with Lucky to help change his father’s mind.

@ Jail House
Scott shows up and starts throwing his weight around by telling Luke that he should plead for mercy when before the judge. If he admits that what he did was to protect Laura then he won’t get a life sentence. Luke sees through the charade knowing Scott is only saying that because of Bobbie. Scott tells him that if he cares at all about his sister he will think about what he’s doing. Lucky shows up and after Scott leaves tells his father that no matter what the plan is he will back him 100%.

@ Court-House
When asked by the judge if he has anything to say in his defence, Luke replies by saying that he was protecting Laura and explains the events (finding Laura cowering under Rick etc.). He finishes by saying that he meant to kill the bastard and would do it again and does not have the least bit of regret for doing it. Based on Luke’s disregard for authority and his record, the judge finds him guilty of murder in the second degree and sentences him to life in prison (for second degree murder?!? – gotta love soaps!)

@ Brenda’s Cottage
Skye show up looking Jax. He comes down the stairs and tells her that he came her to be alone. She tells him that she tried to abide by his wishes, but decided to come anyway. She rambles on for a few minutes about her insecurities, childhood, etc and finally gets to the point by saying that despite everything she has always loved Jax and will continue to do so whether he likes it or not. She tells him that the only way to get rid of her is to either do something completely unforgivable or something that she has to see with her own eyes. She will not take anyone else’s word for something anymore. She loves him and will prove it to him and one day he will love her back..

@ Sonny’s
Jason tells Sonny that Alcazar’s yacht seems to be getting ready to leave town. Sonny doesn’t think that he would be leaving town this soon and they both think it might be a ploy. Jason tells Sonny that the “woman” left the yacht yesterday. This brings Sonny to discuss Brenda and Jax. He admits that he wonders if Brenda thought about him before he died, because she was the last face he saw when he almost died.

@ Yacht
Brenda has arranged the table, bed and chairs as a barricade in front of the door. She kneels behind it and with a trembling hand grips the gun. She prays that this will work and fires the gun.

@ Jail
Angrily Scott tells Luke to enjoy the rest of his life in a 5x7 cell. Luke is indifferent and doesn’t acknowledge Scott which pisses him off even more.. He storms out and Luke calls out to the guard and asks if his cell is ready. The guard enters and we soon learn that it is actually Lucky!
@ Dock’s
Alcazar, Felicia and Felicia’s captor watch in horror as his yacht explodes. He makes a phone call and tells someone to look for “her” because she still might be on the yacht.

@ Brenda’s Cottage
Skye tells Jax that from now he has no control over her love for him and will just have to deal with it. She starts to leave but Jax grabs her hand and tells her that next year she will not have to go looking for him because he will be with her. They hug and Skye asks to go home.

@ Sonny’s
Sonny is watching Alcazar’s yacht. Carly comes down and he tells her what’s going on. They think maybe it was Roy. Carly begins to question him about Brenda and if he thought about her. He says he did and that the one thing he learned form Brenda’s “death” was that you can’t protect the people you love by pushing them away. Carly assures Sonny that she will not let that happen.

@ Yacht
Brenda’s plan has seemingly backfired as she is now stuck waist deep in water and screaming for help.

ON THE NEXT GENERAL HOSPITAL

1 – Lucky tells Luke that he’s not leaving without him
2 – Jax tells Skye that he doesn’t want to be the reason she starts drinking again.
3 – Carly that Jason and Sonny that she has a really bad feeling about this.
4 – Felicia tries to run away from Alcazar but he grabs her.
5 – Brenda has almost completely drowned and is screaming for help.
