General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 27-Aug-2002

Sonny warns AJ to back off or pay the price. AJ asks Jason what that means but Jason tells AJ he'll find out in due time. Jason accuses AJ of being lower than usual by using Michael to hurt Sonny and Carly. AJ says that he didn't set out to hurt Michael but felt that Michael deserved to know the truth. Jason tells AJ that he just proved he wasn't father material by telling Michael things to complicatied for a child his age. AJ screams at Jason that he is Michael's father, not Sonny and not Jason.

Alexis asks Lucky to tell her everything he knows about Rick's death. Lucky swears he's told her everything already. Alexis advises Nik keep Gia out of the situation as much as possible. Nik is worried when he finds out that Luke didn't mention Laura during his call to Lucky. Alexis tells Lucky that she doesn’t think Scott killed Theresa, but he does appear to be protecting whoever did. Most likely Laura. Lucky realizes he is being tailed and that his phones are probably tapped.

Sonny asks Jason exactly what AJ said to Michael. Sonny tells Jason about the video tape Michael saw. Jason points out that AJ's plan to make Michael fear Sonny didn't work. Sonny reminds Jason that Courtney is working at the Oasis and sends him off to guard her.

When Taggert questions Scott about the illegal wire tap on Lucky’s phone, Scott tells him that he will do whatever it takes, legal or not, to catch Luke. Alexis tells Scott that she chatted with the mayor and learned that Rick pulled strings to get him the job as interim DA. She wonders why Rick needed an ally in law enforcement so badly. Alexis then tells Scott that she longer thinks he is responsible for Theresa’s murder.

Carly tries to get Michael to understand that Sonny's business is complicated. Sonny comes home and says that it's time to tell Michael the truth. When asked, Michael tells Sonny he was on the pier because he didn't want Sonny to hurt anybody. Sonny tells Michael that he's done things he's not proud of. He then explains that he will do what ever he needs to too protect his family and loved ones. Michael appears to understand and accept this vague explanation. Carly shoos him off to bed and tells Sonny that she knows that it was hard for him. Sonny promises that Michael will never be part of his business and that AJ will pay for hurting Michael. Carly tells Sonny to ‘make sure the slimeball pays for this’.

Taggert calls Gia to the station to warn how serious aiding and abetting a murder is. He tells her that he can't keep bailing her out and tries to forbid her from getting into any more trouble. Gia insists that she makes her own decisions and then surprises Taggart with a big hug. Gia meets with Nik and Lucky and fills them in on what her brother said. She rags on them for dragging her into trouble and not useing her creative mind to help them out.

Jason finds Courtney walking around at the club, tells her that AJ has really messed up and urges her to tell Coleman she can’t work tonight, then go home and be with AJ. Coleman finds Jason and Courtney talking and reminds Courtney that it is almost time for her set.

Sonny finds his way back to the docks where he finds AJ and tells him that they are ‘going for a ride’.

Luke talks to a bound and gagged Laura and tries to explain why he is holding her hostage. He is sure that if he lets her go, she will be caught. Luke urges her to realize that they are a team, just like always. Laura promises not to scream and Luke removes the gag. Luke explains to Laura that she doesn't remember something that happened but that it will all come back to her. Luke tells her how lucky they have been and starts talk about their wedding and their children. Laura gets a flashback of Rick walking towards her with the syringe. Luke doesn’t seem to notice that Laura has zoned out as she has another memory, this time of Luke crouching over Rick’s dead body. Laura is stunned at what she has remembered, she then tells Luke remembers everything. Luke pulls her into a big hug and she sees the cell phone over his shouldler. Laura asks Luke for fresh water and while he is distracted she grabs the phone, runs to another room, and locks the door. Laura calls Lucky’s number but doesn’t seem surprised when Nik answers. Laura begs for his help, saying that Luke is holding her against her will. In the back ground Nik can hear Luke banging on the door and angrily shouting a Laura to get off the phone and open the door or he will knock it down. Down at the police station, Scott listens in and tapes the bugged phone line.

Sonny brings AJ to the Oasis and tells that he needs to see what he has done to Courtney. AJ listens without understanding as “Daisy” is announced. He is completely shocked as he watches the stripper and realizes it is Courtney.
