General Hospital Update for Friday, 26-Jul-2002

At Jason’s penthouse…

Jason’s on the phone with someone, telling them to do whatever they’re told by the authorities, no bribes, etc… As he opens his door, Taggert is there. He warns him to stay away from Roy DeLucca or he will come after him.


At the courthouse…

Luke can’t understand why Scott didn’t answer his questions during his press conference. He is angry and lets Scott have it, demanding to know what happened all those years ago in the attic. Scott suggests he give it a rest. Luke presses it and shows him Liz’s sketch of the mystery woman. As he continues to harass Scotty and get no answers, a security guard arrives and escorts Luke out.


At the hospital…

Laura shows Rick the sketch Liz made of the famous red-haired woman. She informs him she remembers walking in on him and this woman. Rick admits he had an affair with this woman and when Laura wants to know more, Rick admits this woman was a nurse at GH and became a stalker basically. He totally regrets the whole thing. She showed up at the old Webber house and luckily she left town a few days after that. He never gives her name.


At Jax’s cottage…

Jax’s parents have a map and invite Skye to go camping with them in the middle of nowhere Canada, atop petroleum reserves. She shuts them up before she hears too much. Jax’s mom suggests that a camping trip with her boyfriend’s parents isn’t an ideal vacation, but they don’t seem to take “no” for an answer. Jax hurries to a safe and hides the map in there. Before they leave, Jax’s mom has a word with Skye and tells her how much they have enjoyed her. She gives her a parting gift, her special bracelet. As soon as they leave, Edward appears out of nowhere and reminds Skye of their plan. He is afraid that she is changing her mind about going after Jax and throws some nasty words her way. She finally admits that they will be drilling for oil and that there is a map with the location. With Edward gone, Skye is trying to break into the safe to find the map. Jax catches her and says he figured that would happen sooner or later. He pulls out what he THINKS she is looking for… a gorgeous necklace. She stares at it and can say little else than “Oh my god!” Finally, she asks if it is for her. Jax says, “on one condition…” Skye turns around and Jax is on bended knee. He asks her to marry him (aww J).


At Kelly’s…

Felicia wants in on the meeting with Roy and the mysterious benefactor. Roy says it is safer to stay away. Courtney waits on them and Roy has a feeling he knows her from somewhere. She’s, of course, no help. Felicia tells Roy that Courtney is Sonny’s sister, but of course that doesn’t ring a bell for him. He doesn’t remember where he’s seen her, luckily for Courtney. She quickly asks her fellow waitress to switch tables. Before Felicia can get the details about the meeting out of Roy, Mac shows up with a warning for both of them and Roy scoots out.

Later at the same table, Luke & Laura meet Lesley and ask her about the mystery woman. Lesley pales when she sees the sketch and tells a story that matches Rick’s, for the most part. The woman worked at the hospital, called the home at all hours, stalked Leslie all around town. She even showed up at the Webber home and Laura answered the door. Laura doesn’t remember that! Finally, Lesley paid the woman off to leave town. She doesn’t give a name, claims she doesn’t even know it and has blocked it out. She also wonders (along with the entire viewing audience) what is the big deal, why are they so insistent about finding answers.


At Sonny’s Caribbean lair…

Sonny says he’s given up, admits defeat. Carly says that is a first. He is going swimming and pulls out a tiny bikini for her. She has to do what he says. When she heads to change in another room, he demands she stay there and change in front of him. She calls him a pervert (!!) After their swim, Sonny starts being suave and kissing Carly. She finally starts to give in and as they move to the couch, she stops herself. She says she can’t do this anymore, she can’t keep repeating the same mistakes. She points out that he can never give her what she wants. He insists he will always give her anything she wants. But, she wants ALL of him, duh! Sonny does admit that he wasn’t sure what he was going to do when he left to go find out about Alexis’ baby, but then he realized that he was going to come back to Carly no matter what. He admits, straight up, that he wouldn’t leave Carly even if Alexis was carrying his baby. It wouldn’t matter, he claims.


At Liz’s loft…

Elizabeth asks Zander if he is crazy or stupid to do something to the Corinthos-Morgan warehouse that would cause cops to show up. She doesn’t understand his vendetta. She tries to convince him that she chose him over Jason, so he should just relax and stay out of trouble. Roy shows up to talk to Zander and tells him he did a good job and asks if there were any surprises. Zander says, “No.” After Roy leaves, Zander pulls out a bag full of money, which he stole from the warehouse.


On the docks…

Jason is walking with someone (Rick?), a warehouse employee, discussing where the money went. Rick says the warehouse will be shut down for some time, that Mr. Corinthos should be informed. Jason says Sonny does not want to be disturbed. Roy shows up then and gets threatened by Jason. Then, Elizabeth shows up and Jason is pretty rude to her. She asks to talk to him alone.

Later, Roy checks his gun. Then, the mysterious benefactor shows up (or so we assume.) “Roy DeLucca, good to meet you…” Roy has just one question, though: “Who are you?”


Back in Jason’s penthouse…

Zander has a key (I’m guessing from when he lived there with Alexis?), tries it and gets right in. He searches in the desk drawer and finds something written down that he copies for himself. Then he looks in Jason’s closet and finds his leather jacket. He takes that and leaves. (Thank you!! Maybe Jason will have to buy another jacket now!!). As he waits for the elevator, it arrives on the floor and he ducks out of the way. Luckily for him, he is fast enough because Liz and Jason get off, heading to Jason’s for their private talk. Basically, Liz asks him to not hurt Zander. She explains to Jason that hurting Zander would hurt her. Jason doesn’t seem very friendly towards her (hello, sore loser) and doesn’t really make any promises. Then he gets a phone call and tells her she has to leave.


Back at the hospital…

Luke thinks Lesley has lied about not knowing the mystery woman’s name. He is going to check the personnel records to try to find out the woman’s name himself. He leaves Laura alone who suffers from more flashbacks. Rick happens upon her.
