General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 23-Jul-2002

AJ calls the bank and learns that no one named Courtney works there. Mike stops by to visit Courtney and is upset to learn she has a night job. AJ explains about losing his inheritance. AJ tries to convince his father-in-law that he truly loves Courtney and will provide for her, but Mike doesn�t really believe him. In the end Mike agrees to let them be for the time being, but warns AJ not to hurt Courtney in any way�

Gia and Lucky�s enjoyable day in Amsterdam ends suddenly at Nik�s surprise visit. Nik has also brought along a magazine editor to interview Gia. Gia takes offense at the woman�s condescending assumption that she grew up in the ghetto and gives her a fake story about growing up as a poor cotton picker until her prince rescued her. Realizing her mistake, the woman apologizes and promises to write an interesting article about her. Before she leaves, however, she lets it slip that Nik �bought� Gia the Tempo cover gig. Nik hedges saying he didn�t buy the cover just a large amount of ad space. Lucky reminds Gia that Nik is now in control of HER life. After Nik tells Lucky to butt out, he asks Gia what is wrong with his helping her. Gia tells him that next time he does something to �help� her career, he better let her know first, so she can help�

The man Roy is meeting with tells Felicia that he is an insurance investigator. Felicia thinks they should heed Sonny�s warning but Roy refuses to be intimidated. Roy calls Sonny and sets up a meeting - at the Oasis�

Sonny thinks Roy deliberately choose a strip club to remind him of his background. Roy continues his �disrespectful� attitude at the meeting. Wynona approaches Sonny and offers him a lap dance. He turns her down, but gives her a tip anyways. Roy tells her not to take offense, Sonny just prefers blondes. The talk turns to business and Roy assures Sonny that he is not afraid. Sonny tells him he is stupid not to be and lists a slew of accidents that could happen if Roy doesn�t cooperate. Roy maintains that he has and will survive whatever comes his way. Sonny offers Roy $2 million for the pier again, but Roy refuses. Sonny tells Roy that his personal grudge will cost him. Sonny warns Roy that when his usefulness to the person who is backing him is gone, that person will drop him and Roy will end up road kill�
Meanwhile backstage, Wynona convinces Courtney to approach the �high roller� who tipped her and offer him a private dance to earn some easy $$. Tempted by the thought of going home early, Courtney finally agrees and heads toward the table. Courtney recognizes Sonny�s voice and backtracks before he sees her. Roy however does notice her. Courtney starts to leave but Coleman stops her. Wynona gets on his case and convinces the boss to let �Daisy� go home for the night�

Felicia goes back to Roy�s apartment and starts to search it. She hears someone else arriving and ducks into the closet. The some else turns out to be Jason. After pulling her out of the closet, Jason chastises her for hiding in such an obvious place. Felicia threatens to call the police. Jason retrieves the briefcase and shows Felicia the money he found. Felicia admits that she didn�t know about it but says Jason and/or Sonny could have planted it. Jason tells Felicia that she should listen to her instincts, think like a P.I. and get the hell away from Roy-quickly. Later, Roy comes home and finds Felicia waiting for him. He tells her he has a confession and explains that he has trouble being completely honest. He shows her the money and tells her it is from the same person as before but says he still doesn�t know whom the person is. Felicia admits she already knew about the money and would have cut her ties with him if he hadn�t confessed. They seal the partnership with kiss�

Courtney arrives home to find AJ waiting up for her. He does not confront her with what he has learned, instead he asks about how her night was. Courtney comments that it was just another night at the bank�

Roy�s contact calls �the boss�, who agrees to meet with Roy but reminds his employee that Roy is NOT the real focus of his interest in PC. A woman enters the room but we don�t get to see her face�

Sonny and Jason wonder who is behind Roy and determine to be prepared for whatever is coming�
