General Hospital Update for Friday, 19-Jul-2002

At Club 101 (is it still called that?J)

Jax questions Skye about what he overheard her saying to Jason about being the sole Quartermaine heir. She claims she was just trying to get Jason’s goat. Jax tries to make sure she has not fallen for some silly scheme of Edward’s. She denies it. The club opens and guests start to show up. Edward has some snide comments for Skye and Jax. AJ & Courtney are having a nice night out. He’s got a surprise for her—he got a job. He will be a forklift driver! He tells her the money isn’t that great so she should probably keep her second job. Luke & Laura are there and so is Rick, though not together. Laura is fidgety and assures Rick that their wedding plans are going ahead as planned. She starts to act a little freaky when she sees a redhead; memories come rushing back. Luke suggests they go to the attic right then as Laura’s memories are starting to come back.

Monica is at the club, too. Edward gives her grief about having an affair with Rick. Monica asks Edward if it ever occurred to him that she was sticking close to Rick just to see what he was up to. Monica says hello to AJ & Courtney. He shares his good news about his job. She is shocked and tells him she is a little surprised that with his skills he couldn’t get something better. She finally admits it is great that he’ll be making his own money. She leaves and Courtney laughs at Monica’s attitude. As she and AJ dance, her cell phone rings and it is the greasy Oasis manager guy. He needs her to work that night. Edward takes the opportunity to berate AJ, makes a joke about drinking and operating heavy machinery. Courtney overhears the last comment and tells Edward off. He leaves. Jax & Skye go over, admiring Courtney. Jax takes Courtney to the bar to get a drink and apologizes for warning her to stay away from AJ initially; she is clearly in love now. Skye & AJ talk about love; she is thrilled for him and wishes she had the same luck. AJ warns her to be careful. As AJ & Courtney leave, some guy recognizes her as “Daisy.” She tells him he has the wrong person.

Jax & Skye talk about how lucky Courtney & AJ are, to have found true love. Jax comments that Courtney might be able to help AJ from himself; Skye says that is what he does for her. Then, his cell phone rings and she answers it. Some woman named Mia asks for Jax and he says he has to take that call. Skye is upset and runs out of the club. Who is there but Edward, who says it is now the time to take Jax down.



At Sonny’s penthouse…

Jason tells Sonny he is pretty sure Jax is not financing Roy. He also says Jax isn’t interested in selling the club. Sonny wants it back to give to Carly. Jason says he doesn’t think that is what she wants. He tells Sonny how they have dinner plans that night. Sonny is curious about dinner, but asks Jason’s advice about him and Carly. The one thing Jason says is that Sonny shouldn’t wait around, that sometimes you wait too long and miss the opportunity. Sonny takes this advice and turns it around on Jason, suggesting Jason not wait around any longer himself and tell Elizabeth how he feels. Sonny gets a call from Carly. She wants him to be at her house at 7:00 to pick up Michael. He compares notes with Jason and realizes she is up to something. Jason suggests backing out of dinner, but Sonny wants her to think her plan is going to go off without a hitch. Before they part, Sonny tells Jason to make sure he has an alibi for that night as something big might go down. Sonny suggests Jason use Elizabeth.



At Elizabeth’s studio…

Audrey is trying to talk Elizabeth into coming back home for a little. Elizabeth says she’ll be fine on her own. Before leaving, Audrey reminds Elizabeth that her sister will be returning to Europe (!!) and that she should patch things up with her before she leaves. Once Audrey leaves and Elizabeth is alone, she starts to paint. A storm comes and the power goes out, though. Elizabeth freaks out. Doing what any normal person would do when it’s storming and the power goes out, she takes her flashlight and climbs into the stairwell (?); she then manages to get locked into the stairwell. Zander to the rescue! He saves her and she is grateful. She asks him not to leave. They kiss. As they kiss with the studio door open, Jason walks by and sees them.



At Carly’s house…

Bobbie shows up to take Michael for the night. She is no dummy and immediately reads Carly and her plans. She knows Carly is planning to have Sonny find her in bed with Jason. Carly doesn’t deny it and Bobbie tries to talk her out of it. Carly is bent on revenge and assures Bobbie that what Sonny did was B-A-D. She tells her mom she is sick of wasting her love on Sonny. Her plan will be perfect. There is no changing her mind. With Bobbie and Michael gone, she sets her plan in motion and calls Sonny. She lights candles, puts on lingerie and gets into bed. There is a knock on her bedroom door; she thinks it is Jason and has changed her mind. She is crying and tells him to go away. She can’t go through with her plan. Actually, it is Sonny outside her door. She cries that she can’t go through with her revenge scheme and she will always love Sonny. He decides to come in to the bedroom then and tells her he will always love her, too.



At the attic…

Laura’s memories come flooding back. She was in the yard; it started raining; saw the light on in the attic; went upstairs; heard someone moaning; walked in; found redhead making love to Rick. (Hmm, a redhead? Bobbie? Ha ha). As her memories come back, Rick has followed them and is a few steps behind, listening.
