General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 17-Jul-2002

The show started with Courtney getting a phone call from the owner of the strip bar. He told her she did a “good” job the previous night but AJ walked in so she hung up. She continued to talk about her new job at the bank when AJ blathered on about finding a job. AJ saw her tips from the previous evening and thought they were from Kelly’s instead of the strip club so he joked that he needed to get a job at Kelly’s too. Courtney covered by saying that a waitress had called out so she waited on the entire restaurant. Later, Alan showed up and tried to give Courtney some money but then AJ walked in and told Alan where to put his money. AJ said the money was guilt money for Alan not standing up to Edward on AJ’s behalf. Alan also said to Courtney that AJ has a hard time accepting love and winds up feeling betrayed by the people who love them so they wind up walking away. He also says that AJ doesn’t love the people who love him. Courtney told AJ that Alan was wrong but AJ agreed. AJ talked about always wanting his father’s love and support but that he always made bad choices. Then AJ told Courtney that he knows she’s always totally honest and that’s one reason why he loves her so Courtney did the soap opera guilty face.

Jason and Felicia are still arguing in the park about Roy and where he got the million dollars. Jason says that Roy is working with someone bad and Felicia should just get out of it. Felicia slapped him and told him to mind his own business. She then went on to name all the good things Roy has done but Jason just kept saying where did the money come from (he investigated and learned that there was no money from Uncle Heraldo). Roy showed up so Jason just left. Felicia told Roy about Sonny and Jason’s theory that Roy is working for a bad guy to take over their territory. Zander called Roy’s cell about the job offer and Roy gave him a job. What kind you ask? They will figure that out later, Roy said. Felicia then started to ask if Jason has a point and is Roy keeping secrets because Roy acted like he’s looking for more property to buy (he mentioned something when he was chatting in code to Zander). Felicia asked why they even need Zander but Roy said he likes him and wants to give him a chance at a decent job. Felicia then told Roy that she slapped Jason in defense of Roy and he was mighty impressed at Felicia’s passion.

Okay, Liz had someone pounding on her studio’s door so she got scared but it turned out that he was pounding on the wrong door. Jason knocked and told her he has people protecting her but he’d give her a gun and show her how to use it if she’s still scared. Liz said no to the gun and showed Jason how she could defend herself with her artist knife. Jason showed her how she was wrong which involved holding her in his arms, TWICE! Jason said he had something to show her so they left the studio. When they got back, Jason gave her a baseball bat. Apparently Liz doesn’t know how to swing a bat because Jason had to hold her again to show her how to use it. He went to kiss her but his cell rang and it was Carly crying and wants Jason to come save her. Later on Zander showed up at the studio, soaking wet (major thunderstorm) so while Liz went to get him a towel, he took his jacket and shirt off and they looked at each other romantically. (Yum! A wet shirtless Zander!)

Sonny went to Carly’s and Michael said that his mommy had been crying so would Uncle Sonny fix it? (I really liked the first Michael better!) Carly finally came home and she and Sonny fought. She told him that they were over even though Sonny said the baby’s not his. Carly said that she is a convenience to him but Sonny said it’s not over. Carly gave him all his jewelry back and said she was filing for divorce. She kept harping how he chose Alexis over her but Sonny said they weren’t over and Carly yelled for him to just leave.

Carly and Alexis got into it on the docks and Alexis told her that Ned told Sonny he’s the Daddy. Carly STILL got mad because Sonny “left” her to go to Alexis and the baby so she left him anyway even though Sonny came back. Furthermore, Carly said that she should tell Sonny the truth since Alexis shunned her for lying about Michael’s paternity and now she’s doing the same thing to Sonny’s baby. Plus she had to toss in how Alexis is supposedly still hurting that her “roll in the hay” with Sonny was a one time thing, Sonny never loved her and now he’s back with the woman he really loves. (Blah, blah, blah) Carly did say she would keep the secret though only for Sonny’s sake.

Kristina showed up at Alexis’s new place to have Ned answer the door. Ned continued to try and convince Kristina that the thing with Alexis was just a one-time thing and he only loves her. Alexis showed up and Kristina continued to yell saying that he had said he was over Alexis, that nothing happened that night and Alexis even encouraged her to date Ned. She said that Sonny broke Alexis’s heart so she ran back to Ned then Kristina stormed off. (I don’t like her either!) Ned and Alexis talked and she said she doesn’t want to lose her sister. They discussed telling Kristina the truth but agreed that she would tell Sonny. Ned said in time Kristina would forgive them both.

A song started at this point which showed Kristina sobbing in the rain, Jason going to Carly’s with her crying on his shoulder, Sonny hearing a message from Dr. Bonds saying that Carly can get pregnant.

The previews for tomorrow show Jax saying he bought Traycon Industries, Bobby lecturing Carly about supposedly sleeping with Jason, Ned telling Kristina he doesn’t want to lose her and Sonny telling Alexis that a man wants to protect the woman who’s carrying his kid.
