General Hospital Update for Monday, 15-Jul-2002

Today's show went somewhat slowly, and left a few empty, confusing moments to fill for the GH viewer.Laura returns to Port Charles and "THE ATTIC" to see Luke and Scottie there.She has seen herself as a teen in that place. She says:" It wasn't a nightmare... it was a memory" that I suppressed.Luke tells Laura that he thinks Scott knows what happened there. Then, Scottie does go to see Rick about something. ME THINKS RICK SET THAT FIRE TO DESTROY EVIDENCE OF YEARS AGO.
Jason tries to convince Felicia that she and Roy must give up Pier 52, and profit from this endeavor. Roy is adamant about their not giving into Sonny who controls the waterfront. Felicia questions him about his truly not being aware of that money. One wonders if finding this stash has befuddled Roy's brain.He asks Luke to remove him from part ownership of his club.LUKe gives Roy an enigmatic look.
Sonny goes to see Alexis. He is very straight with her about her pregnancy ,and asks :"Am I the father?'' She looks bewildered as Ed bursts in to say" No, the baby is mine". He explains about the one night affair they had in Brenda's old home during the rainstorm when his car broke down. Sonny asks her if Ned is telling the truth. WITH some hesitation, she tells him yes. A rather dejected -looking Sonny leaves and apologizes to Alexis.( OF course, We fans know that Carly knows that this baby is Sonny's soooooooooo.)Sonny tells Jason that the baby is not his. He knows that Carly is hurt and angry. In the meantime, Carly actually spends some time with her son, Michael.She leaves the key to Sonny's Penthouse and her wedding rings behind.Does she think he will leave her to take care of Alexis and their baby?It may be up to Carly to keep quiet,Right?
Skye is overheard by Jax talking to someone at night. It,of course, is Edward who is trying to "get the latest biz goods on Jax."Later, a sneaky Skye follows Jax to a restaurant where he meets a lovely woman to settle a deal. This lovely, flirtatious female tries to get Jax to to her suite for a drink, but Jax says NO. Yet, he has to go with her anyway to get some papers she had left behind. YEAH.. Skye is going to misread his intentions again.this may result in the demise of their relationship.Oh well!
ONe forgot to mention that Alexis slapped NED after he went to her defense. A hurt and baffled Ned almost leaves when Alexis apologizes. They do not know how to explain this to a caring Kristina. OOPS- Another FOUL-UP has evolved unless Sonny gets smarter about Alexis' being with HIS child.Sonny returns to his home and sees the key and rings lying on a table. He looks somewhat angry and perplexed. What is he thinking now? Tune in to find out tomorrow...
