General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Jul-2002

At Jax’s cabin…

Skye waits for Jax, peering out the window. She sees someone coming and starts to get undressed. It isn’t Jax, but Edward there. He starts in her again and how she shouldn’t trust Jax. He produces a digital camera with a picture of Jax with some beautiful woman, having dinner at the Grille. Skye, of course, isn’t happy to see this. Edward demands she get information out of Jax, so he can out-bid Jax for a company. Before Edward can sneak out, Jax shows up. She hides Edward in the kitchen and seduces Jax on-the-spot to give Edward a way out. Post lovemaking, Skye & Jax sit at the table. She brings up business and tries to get the information that Edward wanted. She succeeds. Later, Skye sneaks out and phones Edward with the information. As she is about to tell Edward the bid that Jax plans to make, Jax comes out from the bedroom and overhears her.



At Ned’s place…

Kristina & Ned are getting dressed post-lovemaking. They are going to go help Alexis unpack/arrange her furniture. As they kiss, Kristina’s cell phone rings. Bad news. She has to go out of town and help a band.



At AJ & Courtney’s place…
Courtney is on edge and AJ sneaks up on her. He finds the lacy lingerie in her brown paper bag and is confused. She tells him that she thought men liked that kind of thing. AJ says she’s sexy and perfect, just as she is. He expresses his love for her; she says she will do ANYTHING for him. After making love, Courtney tells AJ that she got the job (data inputting at a bank---liar!) and starts that night. He tells her it won’t be for long. He wants to start showing her how much he loves her, instead of just telling her. Courtney suggests one way to show her is to be there waiting for her when she gets off work. AJ sends Courtney off to work, even offers to take the bus with her. She is able to fend him off and go alone. While she is away, AJ goes and gets flowers for her, which will be waiting for her upon her return home.


At Oasis…

Courtney is announced as the newest dancer--Daisy. She heads toward the stage.



At Sonny’s penthouse…

Sonny can’t believe Alexis is pregnant. Jason insists it is true. Sonny figures if it was his baby, Alexis would’ve told him. There has to be another explanation. He insists that she wouldn’t keep a secret. Jason explains why: “Carly.” Jason admits he himself almost didn’t bring this news to Sonny since he is so happily with Carly again; perhaps Alexis felt the same way. No excuse, Sonny insists. By this time, Carly has noticed Sonny is not in bed with her any longer and has wandered into the hallway where the men are talking. She can tell it’s something bad. But, against character, she doesn’t ask and doesn’t even want to know when Sonny tries to tell her. He manages to tell her anyway—Alexis might be pregnant with his baby. Carly asks if he has proof this is his baby. She insists if it were his baby, Alexis would’ve come running to him with the news to get everything she has wanted. Sonny says it is the only thing that adds up, that this baby is his. Carly suggests he just drop it, let it go, but Sonny says he can’t do that. If it is his baby, he has to do the right thing. Carly wonders what that is and where it leaves her. Sonny tries to reassure her that she is his wife and he loves her. The proof is that he talked this over with her before heading over to Alexis’ place. Carly is upset that Sonny is going to go get from Alexis what he can’t get from her. Sonny warns her not to go there. Carly tells him if he leaves, she won’t be there when he gets back. He leaves.



At Alexis’ new place…

Taggert shows up at Alexis’ new place. He found out she was digging around about Pier 52 and how Roy got money for it. Taggert is curious about who she is working for; he hopes it isn’t Sonny. Alexis, of course, isn’t biting and doesn’t tell him. Taggert lets it drop that Roy paid cash for the pier; now, how would he get that kind of money? Taggert tells her if she finds anything out to let him know. On the phone with Jason, Alexis passes on the information she found out about Roy and reminds Jason that this is the LAST thing she will do for Sonny. As soon as she hangs up the phone, Ned and Kristina drop by to help, although Kristina only sticks around for a second as she heads off to handle the latest band crisis. Alexis is almost giddy from being completely done with Sonny. Ned is very pleased with her choices. They go out for a walk to find something to eat. When they get back, there is a message from Carly on her machine. Alexis calls her back, but Carly doesn’t get the urgent news out before Sonny shows up at Alexis’ door. Alexis hangs up on Carly. Sonny gets right to the point: “I understand you’re pregnant. I’m the father, aren’t I?”



On Pier 52…

Felicia & Roy kiss on their pier. The Asian businessman shows up again and cancels his previous plans. Seems he’s find out that Sonny is involved in this area, although he doesn’t say this in so many words. Roy is furious and will not let Sonny win or get the best of him. He refuses to back down, even when Felicia points out he wouldn’t be a loser if he did back down. This is something Roy is dead-set on doing. She wants to make sure this isn’t about revenge. Roy insists it isn’t about that. He has high hopes for the pier, eventually opening restaurants and shops. Jason shows up with an offer from Sonny. Roy isn’t even interested and the two men spar verbally. Jason wonders how Roy even got the money to buy the pier. Felicia pipes in, “He got it from me.”
