General Hospital Update for Thursday, 11-Jul-2002

JR. Q APT-
Courtney is on the phone with the owner of the strip club who is demanding that she come in immediately - or he will call the cops on AJ. AJ overhears Courtney saying to leave him out of it, assumes the caller is Edward and grabs the phone out of Courtney's hand. AJ tells �Edward� not to bother him or Courtney ever again. The club owner hangs up without saying anything. Courtney tries to calm AJ down and tells him to stay away from the Q�s so he can stay sober. AJ is touched by Courtney�s concern and wants to draw a bath for Courtney, but she tells him she has a job interview. Courtney tiptoes around giving AJ the details on where she is going and assures him that her new job will just be temporary�

PIER 52-
Jason confronts Roy and asks where he got the money. Roy doesn't think it is any of Jason's business and comments that Sonny shouldn�t have taken anything for granted. Jason wishes Roy luck as he walks off. Felicia thinks it was a warning and fears for their safety. Roy quickly changes the subject by introducing her to a (Asian) man who wants to use the pier. They reach an agreement. Afterwards, Roy surprises Felicia with a candlelit dinner (set up on the pier) to celebrate their success. Felicia surprised by this side of Roy he admits that he used to enjoy the good life. Roy thinks there is no limit on how far they can go - both professionally and personally. Roy and Felicia happily dance cheek to cheek under the stars unaware that someone seems to be watching closely�

Q GATEHOUSE-
Kristina arrives, luggage in hand, babbling about needing the right side of the bed. When she stops for a breath, Ned asks if he missed something, like ASKING her to move in. Kristina immediately backs off saying inane stuff like �Alexis� place is barley big enough for her�I just assumed, since we have an understanding�� She ends ups saying she is leaving to look for her own apartment because she thinks Ned doesn't want her to move in. Once she stops babbling, Ned officially asks her to be his roommate. She hesitates thinking he feels obligated, but he tells her how much he needs and wants her there. Kristina believes him and agrees to move in. He pulls her in to a kiss and down on to the sofa�

MERCY HOSPITAL-
Sonny wants to take Carly to another hospital when Carly claims the procedure was painful (to cover why she is really crying). Carly claims she just wants to go home but Sonny insists on staying and seeing the doctor. Behind the curtain, Alexis (who can hear them clearly) is upset at the possibility that she could be discovered at any minute. The doctor notices and comments on the increase in her blood pressure and heart rate. Carly tries to use the doctor�s comments as further excuse to leave the area quickly. Sonny picks out the baby�s heartbeat and comments on it. Realizing that it disturbs Carly, Sonny finally gives in and escorts her from the room. Once they are gone, Alexis' readings return to normal. The doctor tells her again how important it is for Alexis to reduce her stress levels. Alexis promises to try harder�

UNDISCLOSED LOCATION-
Gia is getting ready for her �big shoot�. The crew is buzzing around getting ready; all is going well � until the photographer arrives. He immediately singles Gia out and pretty much manhandles her in to a pose. Gia resents it and isn�t shy about letting him know it. After they exchange verbal insults, Gia warns the photographer not to touch her again. He disregards the warning and does touch her again. Gia immediately slaps him. Nik wants Gia to walk off the set but Vance quickly reminds him that contracts were signed � by all. For some unexplained reason Lucky shows up and Gia immediately asks him to do the shoot. The hotshot photographer insults Lucky by calling him an amateur and stalks off. Gia pleads with Lucky to help her out. He agrees (though Nik does not seem happy about it) and goes to get his equipment�

THE OASIS-
Courtney finally arrives at the club. The owner makes her very nervous when he closely looks her over. He tells her again that he's doing her a favor by not calling the police. He tells her she will work 4 nights a week from 10-2 and recommends that she change her attitude. Courtney is very shocked when he tells her to take off her clothes. Courtney refuses but the man demands that Courtney prove she can strip. He moves behind the desk and turns on the appropriate music. As the club owner stares, Courtney slowly begins to take her clothes off. By the time she gets to her blouse buttons, she is practically in tears�

MERCY HOSPITAL-
Sonny again tries to tell Carly that she doesn�t have to go through this ordeal because he will he happy just to have her and Michael. Carly tells him that she wants a baby more than anything and asks for his support. When Dr. Bonds finally arrives Sonny asks the doctor not to make Carly wait so long the next time. They are very happy when she reports that the preliminary tests don't show any fertility problems. Carly wants to go home and start working on making a baby right away...

ALEXIS� APT-
Jason fills Alexis in on Roy�s purchase of Pier 52. He asks is she can try to find out who's fronting Roy. Alexis is also curious and agrees to the job. The sound of breaking glass in the hallway causes Alexis to drop her brief case. When she goes to investigate, Jason picks the papers up and notices that the top one is an OB-GYN from with her pregnancy information on it. He looks it over and notes that the baby�s father is not named. When Alexis returns she finds Jason putting everything back into her briefcase and takes over the task. Jason tells Alexis that if he or Sonny can give her any help she needs only to call. Alexis takes some notes and promises to get back to him as soon as she knows anything. He recommends that she not visit the pier because it could be dangerous. Later, Alexis looks through a maternity magazine and smiles happily...

JR. Q APT-
Courtney returns home carrying a small brown paper bag. Thinking AJ is not home she tries to stash it behind a sofa cushion. Suddenly AJ appears behind her and snatches the bag from her hand. Curious as to what she bought, he sticks his hand in and brings out a lacy, baby blue garter-belt�

HARBORVIEW TOWERS-
Sonny encourages Carly to relax and they make love right away. Later, Sonny is watching Carly sleep when he hears Jason come in. Sonny goes downstairs and asks if Jason found out anything about Pier 52. Jason says he has Alexis working on it, then asks Sonny to step out into the hall. Out in the hall, Sonny asks what is wrong and comments that Jason looks like he just run over. Jason hesitates and Sonny tells him that if something is wrong, he will take care of it. Jason tells Sonny that Alexis is pregnant�
