General Hospital Update for Monday, 8-Jul-2002

Sonny/Carly: More discussion about Carly's taking the money because she's infertile & wanted fertility treatments (which we all know was a lie). Sonny told Carly that he told her in the hospital that he'd love her always & be by her side...she could have told him truth. Sonny got a call from Benny & raced out the door.

Jason: He gets to the cemetary & finds the door locked. He works at picking the lock and is stopped by what appears to be a security guard. Jason tries to convince him to call the police & have Taggert come to them. The security guy orders Jason to go with him. Jason pretends to go, but knocks the guard unconscious, takes his keys & tries to find the key to get in, eventually doing so. He gets to the door of the crypt & finds that locked, too. He looks through some keys & can't find it. Sonny arrives as Jason considers shooting the lock to open it but then he has second thoughts, deciding that there is a gas leak. After trying several more keys, Jason gets the right one, gets into the crypt & finds Elizabeth. Jason carries her out to safety while Sonny calls for an ambulance. He is able to bring Elizabeth around. She tells Jason that Zander is in the crypt and as Sonny starts to go in to get Zander, the crypt explodes.

Ned/Alexis/Carly: Ned arrives to see Kristina, but since she's not there, Ned offers to leave a note. He sees Alexis getting a fax that proves that Carly took the money from Club 101 to pay off the law firm that hired her. She intends to take it right to Sonny to show him what kind of woman Sonny is married to. Ned is able to calm her down & convinces her not to take it to Sonny. He then leaves when it appears Kristina wasn't coming. Alexis decides she needs to speak to Ned...as she runs to try to catch him at the elevator, Carly comes out to antagonize her. Alexis figures out that Carly knows that she is pregnant with Sonny's baby. She takes Carly into her penthouse where the women argue about whether or not Alexis wants Sonny & about what will happen with Alexis' baby. The argument ends with Alexis telling Carly that Sonny can't know & Carly seems satisfied with that.

Felicia/Roy: Felicia & Roy try to decide what to do with the money they found. Felicia wants to buy a design house while Roy tells her that he already spent the money. He bought Pier 52. Felicia is understandibly upset & unhappy about this as she knows its Sonny's territory. After Felicia talks to Georgie who is apparently in Texas with Maxie visiting their grandmother, they discuss the purchase of the pier, toast it with champaign and Felicia goes home.

AJ/Courtney: AJ makes his way out of the car to find Courtney sitting on the curb. They learn that they hit the side of a business. Courtney is very upset over the accident. The owner of the business is upset over the accident. AJ takes off after a bit of discussion, but meets Courtney at home. He tells her how much he loves her & that he wants to do right by her. She says that she hears everyone tell them about how bad he is, then she hears AJ talk to her the way he does & she knows that she loves him & that he loves her. Once AJ is asleep, Courtney slips out to try to convince the business owner not to call the police. The man knows who AJ is & who his family is. He wants a great deal of money to keep quiet. Courtney explains that they are broke but she is working as a waitress. He insists that AJ has money & he can go to his parents. Courtney explains that they are cut off & his family is not an option. The guy looks at her as she walks off & tells her that there's another option...she can work off their debt for him as a stripper.
