General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 3-Jul-2002

Harborview Towers-
Kristina informs Alexis that Ned has been delayed by family business. She teases that he should be there in time to help pack up the room Alexis NEVER uses-the kitchen. Lexi however, has other business on her mind as she informs Kris she has an urgent matter to attended too before packing�

Docks-
Lucky irritates Jason with demands about Liz�s whereabouts. Jason tells him the truth-he doesn�t know where Liz is, but even if he did he doesn�t see where it is any of Lucky�s concern. Jason tries to walk away but Lucky starts a pushing match. Just as Jason is about to strike Lucky, Nik appears and tells Jason to unhand Lucky unless he wants to take them both on. Jason ignores the provocation and walks away commenting that he has somewhere important to be. Lucky informs Nik and Gia that Liz is missing but they think he is worrying needlessly-especially after they learn Zander is also missing. Sarah arrives on the scene and comments that no matter what Liz is doing or who she is doing it with it is no longer any of Lucky�s business. Gia chides Sarah for not being concerned about the possibility that her sister might be missing. Sarah says she knows from past experience that Liz is capable of pulling off such a stunt just to get attention. Gia comments that she and Nik are on their way to Club 101 and invites Sarah and Lucky to join them�

PCPD-
Alexis personally serves Taggart with the harassment lawsuit paperwork she has filled on Sonny�s behalf. Taggart can�t believe she is serious and doubts the charges will hold. Alexis informs Taggart that it may take a long time but when the case is over his reputation as a respectable law enforcement officer will be in the dust. Taggart questions why someone like Alexis would put aside her moral standards and work ethics to continue defending someone like Sonny. Alexis doesn�t respond to Taggart's comments-she just informs him that someone will be in touch with him about a deposition, then leaves the station�

Q House-
The gathered family members (Ned, Alan, Monica, Lila, and Skye [with Jax]) question Edward as to the motive of the gathering. Edward makes a speech about how important family is, but no one believes him-except maybe Lila. The doorbell rings; Edward announces he has a surprise for Lila and sends Reginald to answer. However, the surprise is on Edward when he sees AJ and Courtney walk into the living room. Monica welcomes AJ, Edward asks why he is there, and everyone else just looks dumbfounded. Jax is the only one with a friendly greeting for Courtney. Upon seeing the whole family gathered, AJ sarcastically comments that his invitation must have gotten lost in the mail. Things just get worse as Edward�s surprise finally arrives-JASON. Jason greets Lila warmly and she asks to speak with him privately. Out in the foyer, Reginald welcomes Jason back them leaves him alone with Lila. Once she confirms that Edward blackmailed Jason into the visit, Lila refuses to be a part and asks Reginald to take her back to her room. Jason assures Lila SHE hasn�t seen the last of him, then returns to the living room. While Ned welcomes Jason back, Skye pulls Edward aside and accuses him of trying to double-cross her. Edward assures Skye that he will uphold his end of the contract if she comes through on her end. Skye and Jax excuse themselves and leave. Ned also leaves and Edward questions why Lila hasn�t returned. Jason passes on her message that she will not be a party to blackmail. AJ wonders why anyone is surprised when they know how much Jason dislikes the family. AJ also adds that Jason tried to buy some information from him but had to turn to Edward when AJ refused. Jason confirms that he is only present as a condition. AJ is upset to see how angry his parents are at Edward over his treatment of Jason when they barely raised a brow at Edward�s latest mistreatment of him. He tells everyone that Jason was arrested for a double homicide and totally loses it when Alan defends Jason saying that you can�t believe everything you read in the press. AJ angrily tells the family that if they want a criminal for a son then he can comply. He pulls out the stolen item and fills them in on how he stole it. AJ comments that he knows it doesn�t compare to being a hit man but maybe a little vandalism will help. He throws the item into the fireplace and quickly follows it with a vase; Courtney watches appalled at his behavior. When he reaches for the next expensive knick-knack, Jason stops him and points out that he got what he wanted. He uspet his family; now he is just wasting Jason�s time. Jason turns on Edward and asks for the promised list. Edward balks and insists the deal was that Jason stay for dinner. Thoroughly upset now, AJ pours himself a shot of vodka and downs it despite the pleas for him to stop from Alan, Monica and Courtney. Courtney tells AJ she is leaving and that if he really loves her he will leave with her now. AJ takes Courtney by the arm and starts to walk out; suddenly he turns back and takes a set of car keys from the desk. He tells Edward that he is taking the car and Edward can report it stolen if he likes. Monica pleads with AJ not to drive after drinking; Courtney agrees. AJ insists he is not drunk. Alan urges Courtney not to get in the car with AJ, but she leaves with him anyways. Fed up with the antics, Jason grabs Edward and wrestles the list away from him. Monica tells Jason that despite the circumstances she is glad he stopped by. Jason makes his excuses and leaves. Alan sarcastically congratulates Edward on another successful family gathering�

Dr. Bonds Office-
Alexis thanks the doctor for seeing her again and apologies for being such a worrywart. Dr. Bonds assures Alexis that everything is okay. Alexis comments that she is very stressed, what with it being her first pregnancy and moving too. Dr. Bonds tells Alexis that her age dictates a need for extra care. After assuring Alexis that the baby is okay again, Dr. Bonds suggests Alexis reduce the stress by postponing her move until after the baby is born�

Club 101-
Carly is happy that Sonny has consented to hang at her club. Sonny tells her he wants to be with her, plus he doesn�t want to give the impression that he is hiding. Carly happily recalls opening night and tells Sonny how much she wanted to kiss him then. Sonny tells Carly how proud he was of her�

Gia and her entourage arrive and cause a scene at the door when the paparazzi descends on their newest darling. She takes the opportunity to publicly praise Lucky as a photographer and draws him into the pictures�

Roy meets with Felicia who explains that if her theory is correct and Sonny planted the money, then they need to give the impression that Roy is spending it freely-at a place where Sonny is sure to notice. Roy reiterates the warning that Sonny is dangerous and they should not confront him. Never the less, Felicia talks Roy into walking over and greeting the other couple. After Carly and Felicia exchange greetings, Roy suggests to Sonny that they let bygones be bygones. Sonny refuses to shake Roy�s outstretched hand and coldly informs him that he will never forgive Roy for using Carly�s fears against him. After muttering what could be considered a threat �expect it when you least expect it� Sonny quickly ushers Carly away.
Felicia notes aloud that Sonny hates Roy intensely. Felicia then comments that she doesn�t believe Sonny would play mind games to get even. She warns Roy to watch his back because Sonny is more likely to just have him shoot in an alley. Roy tells her that he isn�t afraid of Sonny and Felicia wonders if he is really brave or just reckless. Felicia says maybe the money is a thank-you gift from someone whom he helped. Roy says �not likely� and Felicia tells him he doesn�t give him self enough credit. Roy then comments that maybe they should use the money to make money and suggests they look for investment opportunities�

Shortly after arriving, Jax asks Skye to distract Sonny while he speaks with Carly. Sonny agrees to Skye�s request and they move away. Carly asks Jax what business Skye has with Sonny. Jax explains that Skye is merely providing a distraction because he doesn�t think Carly wants Sonny to know that she embezzled $100 grand. Carly claims Sonny wouldn�t care. Jax is sure Sonny would applaud it, but is equally sure that Carly doesn�t want Sonny to know WHAT she used the money for. Carly quickly assures Jax that she intends to pay it back. Jax tells Carly there is no need. Carly is sure that is a catch. Jax explains that since he no longer trusts her, he wants her to resign as club manager immediately. Jax explains that while she will no longer be managing or drawing a salary, he will continue to share the profits with her. Carly refuses point blank. Jax threaten to tell Sonny right then and there. Before Carly can say anything else Sonny, returns and draws Carly away. Sonny immediately notices that Carly is upset and asks why. Carly gives him some drivel and asks him to take her home. As they head out the door, Carly turns and takes a (last???) longing look over the club. Skye chides Jax for making her speak to Sonny. Jax offers her a �reward� for her help. He tells Skye that Carly has resigned as manager. Skye is less than flattered when Jax offers her the position, but promises to give the offer �due consideration��

Harborview Towers-
Alexis returns to find Ned and Kristina packing while waiting for her to return. After Kris offers go pick up dinner, Ned questions why Alexis is still doing Sonny�s bidding. Alexis says she feels a little guilty for not telling Sonny about his impending fatherhood. Alexis also admits that Taggart was right, she did get a charge out of being able to successfully defend a less than upstanding citizen. Alexis tells Ned about her latest visit to the doctor and tells him she has decided to stay in PC after all, just not in the penthouse. When Ned asks what she will tell Sonny when he finds out about her pregnancy, Alexis admits she has no idea-yet. Later she steps out into the hall to retrieve a box (for unpacking) just as Sonny and Carly step off the elevator. Carly�s already bad night gets worse, when Alexis tells them she is staying at the PH longer than originally planned, until she finds a new place in PC. When Carly asks about Manhattan, Alexis says she decided to stay close to her family and friends. Sonny tells Lexi he is glad she is staying, but Alexis informs him that she hasn�t changed her mind about not being his attorney. After telling Sonny she filled the lawsuit on his behalf, Alexis returns to her apartment. Carly stomps to Sonny�s apartment muttering that Alexis should have left�
