In the crypt...
Elizabeth is freaking out as she is held captive. Suddenly, the door opens and a limp body is dragged into the crypt with her, a visitor! It is Zander and he is passed out after being beat up. Elizabeth tells her captors that they should let Zander be, that they only need her, let him get to a doctor. The mean guy holding her tells her she just better hope that Jason follows directions. Zander finally comes to and is sore, but hides it and plays toughman for Elizabeth. They come up with a plan where Elizabeth screams that Zander died and then when the creepy captor comes in, she runs to safety...blah blah blah. It doesn't really matter because it doesn't work. Elizabeth decides to fight the guy and well, go figure, he is much stronger than she is and they are right back where they started pre-plan. The creepy captor guy pulls out a gun but Zander protects Elizabeth, but creepy guy admits he needs them alive at this point. Zander pulls no punches with Elizabeth and tells her that they will be killed once they get the information they need from Jason. They huddle together and try to come up with a plan.
At some crappy Roscoe-oriented bar...
Jason is hassling the bartender for information on where Elizabeth is, if Zander was there, what Roscoe is up to, etc... Finally, after some cash-oriented persuasion, the bartender admits Zander was there meeting with some guy Kent. The bartender summons Kent and Jason attacks him and demands answers. In a chokehold, Kent finally agrees to talk, but some gun-toting dude shows up and kills Kent. Jason is quick to the draw and manages to shoot the other guy. As he lays dying, Jason begs for information. The guy says something about "ELQ" but the clue isn't immediately helpful to Jason and, as the guy dies, he laughs that Jason will never figure it out.
At Laura's house...
Luke and Rick talk. Luke is curious about why Rick is back in town and why he hasn't kept in touch. Rick says it's been difficult for him, just as it's been difficult for Laura. He does admit the business aspect that has brought him to Port Charles would be great if it worked out, but it is only his secondary motive for being there. He heads to General Hospital to talk to people.
At General Hospital...
Scott tells Bobbie he will go to Luke and Laura's wedding with her, assuring her that he no longer is "in love" with Laura, that he merely cares for her. Monica sees Rick and is all smiley. They catch up, even flirt. Alan butts in and tells his wife why her ex-lover is really back in town: he's with the consortium that wants to buyout GH. Monica is interested in what Rick has to say about the deal; Alan is not. Rick invites them both to Luke's Club later that evening to learn more. People from Mercy Hospital will be there also and can provide firsthand accounts on a positive buyout. Before parting, Monica wonders if Rick is available. He is!
In the attic above the garage at the old Webber house (now the Scorpio house)....
Lulu shows the attic to Maxie, who is apparently baby-sitting. They look through some of the old stuff in there and decide to play dress-up. They run downstairs for a second. Some man dressed in black crawls in through the window and starts a fire in a box. He puts the box under a table and sneaks out. We never see his face! Later, Lulu and Maxie are back upstairs playing, apparently totally oblivious to the smell of smoke. Maxie gets a call from Cody, but the reception is poor so she leaves Maxie alone to talk "about homework" with Cody in the backyard. Although we don't hear his end, he is persuasive enough for Maxie to agree to meet him on the corner for about ten minutes, leaving Maxie alone in the attic to play with fire.
In Sonny's penthouse...
Sonny and Carly talk about how they want to stay together forever. Alexis shows up. Carly is all attitude, until Alexis delivers the news that she is leaving Port Charles and getting rehired by her old law firm in Manhattan. Hmm, shocking news for Carly. Sonny seems surprised, but Alexis isn't changing her mind. She says she's been looking for a change and this is it. She gives Sonny a list of potential lawyers to replace her. Carly tells Alexis she respects her decision. Alexis leaves, just in time for a delivery to come. It is a wedding dress Sonny bought as they get ready to exchange vows again. Carly tells Sonny she feels like something is going to go wrong, but goes up to change as Sonny talks to the priest.
At Luke's Place...
Rick and Monica are talking. She says it is like he left yesterday (brown hair turned to white hair in one day??!). Rick tells Monica he could use her on his team, to help sway the rest of the GH staff. Scott butts in and has some harsh words for Rick. A buyout always means that patients suffer and nurses and doctors, too. Monica apologizes for Scott and assures Rick she will keep an open mind. She tells him she needs time to think about being "on his team," as he said, but she does agree to dance with him. "For old time's sake?" Monica asks. Rick says, "For new.." Scott and Alan realize they are allies against this buyout.
Meanwhile, Alexis has shown up and Luke tells her she's in the midst of a medical conference basically. Dr. Bonds is there, as a representative from Mercy Hospital, and Alexis thinks it is a good time to tell her she is moving to Manhattan. Luke overhears and first, wonders what kind of doctor she is, and second, is shocked to hear Alexis is moving. He asks her if she is sure she is doing this for the right reasons and she says she is being completely selfish for once. They admit they will miss each other. Luke even gives her a big sloppy kiss on the lips!
Finally, Scott and Luke discuss Laura. Scott has heard that Laura has left town abruptly and is curious. Luke doesn't appreciate Scott asking questions.
Back at Sonny's penthouse....
Carly has reappeared in her wedding dress, looking very pretty. Sonny approves. They start the exchange of their vows (for what? the sixth time?). Sonny's vows are all about how he wants to have a child with Carly, how much family means to him and how having a child with her would mean the world to him. Somehow, the door has been left open (!! Yes, the mobster who is in incredible danger at the moment leaves his door wide open!) and Alexis is listening in.
