General Hospital Update for Monday, 24-Jun-2002

MERCY HOSPITAL-
Carly�s attempt to look at Alexis� file nearly backfires when Sonny suddenly appears and thinking it is Carly�s file, demands to see it. Carly tells Sonny she �mistakenly� got the wrong file and returns it (NAME down) to the counter. Dr. Barnes returns to discuss the test result and Carly is stuck when Sonny insists on sitting in. After returning to her room for some privacy, Carly �accidentally� knocks over a tray. When Sonny bends down to retrieve the items, Carly silently pleads with the doctor not to say anything to Sonny. Dr. Barnes gives them the test results without giving any specific details. After the Dr. leaves Sonny, informs Carly that she didn�t fool him and demands to know what she is hiding. Again without giving him any details Carly tries to convince him that she is afraid for him to hear something that will take them away from each other. Sonny promises that he will stay with her no matter what because he loves her�

ON THE DOCKS-
Courtney tells Jason that she doesn�t understand why AJ would lie to her and wonders why he AJ doesn�t believe that she loves him no matter what. Jason comments that he is the wrong person to ask. Courtney defends AJ and claims she is starting to see what he has gone through his whole life. As soon as Courtney leaves, Liz steps out from her hiding place and reveals to Jason that she overheard the conversation. Benny shows up and tells Jason that though Roscoe himself has disappeared, several of his men are still around. Jason rushes Liz back to her studio and tells her that she needs to keep away from him, for the time being, for her own safety. Liz teases him about who looks for whom and asks if Zander is involved in the current trouble. She does agree to stay away from him until he deems it safe again, if Jason will agree to stop bossing her around�

PC HOTEL-
{BAR}
Skye finds AJ at the bar contemplating ordering a drink. Skye lets AJ know that she saw him stealing from the Q house and wonders what Courtney would think. AJ tells Skye that although he started out just using Courtney at first, now he truly does love her. AJ admits that he asked Jax for help but couldn�t accept Jax�s condition to cut himself out of Courtney and Skye�s lives. AJ asks Skye for a loan and is stunned when she refuses. Skye states that it will be good for AJ to do something on his own. Over coffee, Skye tells AJ that she caught Jax in a lie�
{TERRACE}
Courtney's attempt to retrieve her belongings from the penthouse is thwarted by the manager and Edward who inform her that her things have been impounded. Edward tries to make a deal, but Courtney will have nothing to do with it. When Edward claims he was going to offer them a loan, Courtney declares that the best to happen to AJ was to be away from Edward�s influence�
{DINING ROOM}
Alexis meets Ned and tells him her twinge turned out to be nothing. When Alexis admits she is having trouble accepting the fact she is going to be a mother, he gives her a hug-just as Kristina arrives. Kris goes off on them and accuses them of practically making out in public. Alexis tells her she is wrong; then gives the couple some tickets to the symphony and hurries off to find her lost appointment book. Ned is left with the explaining. He tells Kris that she is right, he and Alexis are keeping something from her. Ned tells Kris that Alexis has just realized how wrong she was about Sonny but didn�t want to upset Kris. Kris is insulted that Ned would think her stupid enough to buy that story. When she tries to walk away, Ned grabs her and pulls her into a dance�
{BAR}
Skye prepares to leave just as Edward approaches. Edward tells Skye that if she is going to remain loyal to Jax she should at least be informed of his actions, then hands her an envelope. Skye claims she has no interest in anything Edward has to say, but after he leaves she opens the envelope and finds a picture inside. A picture of Jax placing a necklace around the neck of a woman (his jewelry dealer)�

OLD WEBBER HOUSE/CURRENT SCORPIO-JONES HOME-
Laura �sneaks� out of her house and makes her way over to the old house. Up in the garage attic she gets a good scare from Luke who admits he heard her sneak out and followed her. They look around and Laura sees several things she remembers. Laura is excited when she finds her wedding dress, but after taking it out of the box she realizes it is stained beyond repair. She also finds the veil box but discovers the headpiece is missing. Laura ends up taking the veil, which is in good condition, when she leaves�

MERCY HOSPITAL-
Alexis returns looking for her appointment book and runs into Sonny in the lobby. Alexis asks about Carly and then feels she has to explain her own presence. She tells Sonny she was there earlier, interviewing an expert witness, and left her appointment book. Sonny looks as if he doesn�t quite believe her but lets it go. Neither is aware that Carly is watching them. Later, Carly also watches as Alexis speaks to Dr. Barnes, but she is too far away to hear their conversation�

AJ & COURTNEY�S APT-
AJ returns home to find Courtney waiting for him. AJ confesses to Courtney that he stole from the family to get money, but promises to be a better person if she will still have him. They kiss and make-up�

LIZ�S STUDIO-
Liz is working on a painting when two men burst in and grab her. She corrects their assumption that she is Jason�s girlfriend. They say that for her sake they hope Jason thinks otherwise�
Shortly after�
Zander arrives and finds the door wide open and the room a wreck. After hearing a scream, he looks out the window and sees the men forcing Liz into a car. He races to Jake�s where he finds Jason and tells him that two men, one of whom used to work for Roscoe, just kidnapped Liz. They both run out to try to find her�
