General Hospital Update for Monday, 17-Jun-2002

At Elizabeth’s studio…

Jason’s at the door, says he saw her light on. Before Elizabeth can tell Jason anything, Zander pops his head out the door and tells Jason that she has company. Jason is shocked to see Zander there. Jason asks to talk to Elizabeth privately and tries to understand why she is helping Zander. She tells him that she wants to and she doesn’t want to hear someone telling her what to do and who to be. Jason tells her that Zander is nothing but trouble and she should stay away from him; Elizabeth reminds Jason that’s what everyone told her about him when she first started hanging out with him. Jason finally drops it and says he was there to invite her on a bike ride, but Elizabeth turns him down. Jason warns Zander to stay out of his face and to not hurt Elizabeth. Back inside the studio, Zander warns Elizabeth that he isn’t that great of a guy, but she isn’t worried. They relate to each other a little and then she offers to help him change his bandage. Suddenly, he’s shirtless. As she’s bandaging him up and the sexy music is playing, Jason is outside on his bike, revs it up and turns the light on. She runs to the window and watches Jason drive off. Meanwhile, Zander remains bare-chested behind her. An interesting love triangle in the works?


At Nikolas’ old house…

Ned tells Alexis he stands behind her decision not to tell Sonny she’s pregnant. Alexis pleads with Ned not to tell Kristina that she is pregnant, hoping to prevent excessive doting and/or Kristina’s loose lips. Ned says he will do what she wants, but points out that once she starts showing, it will become pretty obvious to all that she is pregnant. He tells her that she really needs to have a plan if she intends to hide this from Sonny. Alexis says she hasn’t had time to completely formulate a plan but the first step is moving out. She mentions potentially fabricating a scenario about another man, old lover or new lover. Ned uses this opportunity to tell her that he thought he might still have feelings for her and wanted to spend time alone with her to see if this was the case. Alexis is worried that he is going to say that he does indeed still have feelings for her, but Ned assures her that he only cares about her as a friend. In fact, he tells her she is the last person in the world he would ever have a relationship with. Gee, thanks. As Ned vows to tell Kristina the news that he knows he is officially over Alexis, there is a knock on the door. A repairman is there with the news that their car has been fixed. They wonder who called the repairman, but he isn’t telling. Some good Samaritan, they muse.


At the convent…

Luke is thrilled to see Laura at the convent. Just as they decide to take off together to try to find Helena, Mother Superior stops them. Luke says he was going to hear a private confession from this nun (Laura). Luke feeds the nun more b.s. and manages to get the whereabouts of the three nuns who did not attend vespers. With that information, Luke and Laura split up to find Helena. They both happen upon a suspicious nun at the same time; Luke pulls the habit off her head. Voila, guess who?! Helena. Laura says they are going to call the police, but Helena has her say first. She tells them that she no longer has any interest in ruining their lives, that she has come to enjoy being in the convent. Luke considers that Helena has changed. Laura cannot believe her ears. Helena also admits that for all purposes, Helena Cassidine is in prison. Luke comes up with a plan. Soon, Mother Superior shows up and says that Sister Cassidine has volunteered to go help the lost souls in Antarctica. Away she goes. Luke and Laura celebrate.


At Sonny’s penthouse…

Dr. Meadows is on the phone, telling Carly that she is unable to conceive, most likely due to her fall down the stairs. Dr. Meadows tells her there are tests they can run, but it doesn’t look good. Carly is incredibly upset. Sonny tries to figure out what is wrong, but she doesn’t tell him. He presents her with dessert, which includes a paper declaring that the divorce never went through and they are still married. She bursts into tears. He tries to explain that this is a good thing. She says she knows that, she was just surprised and starts to tell him about talking to Dr. Meadows, but in the end, she lies and tells him that Dr. Meadows gave her the okay. She asks Sonny to make love to her. Afterward, she vows to a sleeping Sonny that whatever it takes, she will give him a child. She gets dressed and leaves a message for Dr. Meadows, telling her she doesn’t “accept” her diagnosis. As she heads into the hallway, she runs into Alexis and gives her the evil eye.


At Kelly’s…

Scott and Bobbie are there to look for Laura’s ring. They laugh about the psychic and her predictions. They also discuss the supposed curse. Bobbie says she didn’t believe it after hearing about the first few problems with the wedding planning, but at this point, there are too many circumstances not to consider the possibility of a curse. Scott wonders if the curse is lifted if the ring is found…then he presents the ring that he found. Bobbie tries it on and can’t get it off her hand. They try various remedies before finally getting if off her hand. Scott is amused that the psychic was right about one thing.
