General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 12-Jun-2002

AGAIN, it's been over a week since this episode aired and I'm doing it mostly from memory, so I apologize if I've missed anything...

CARLY�S HOUSE-
Taggart (in his usual charming way) pretty much accuses Jason and Sonny of being responsible for Zander�s assault; in front of Carly no less. She automatically defends her men and tells Taggart to leave. When Taggart implies that Zander has implicated them, Sonny points out that Taggart has no evidence or warrant and is risking a harassment charge-again. Carly wants to go see Zander ASAP. Before he leaves Taggart takes a few more shots at Jason-by calling him �anger-boy� and Sonny-by asking how he sleeps at night.

GH-
Alexis tries to get Zander to talk to her, but he remains quiet (Jason would be so proud). Outside Ned ponders what to do about the prenatal vitamins and ends up pocketing them when Alexis approaches. They are speaking about Kristina�s tendency to hover when Carly and Sonny show up. Carly goes straight to see Zander, but Alexis detains Sonny and questions him about Zander. Sonny evades answering the questions and Alexis realizes that Sonny WAS responsible. She is appalled and wonders how he could do that to someone he claimed to care about. She calls him cold and heartless, then asks Ned to take her away.
In Zander�s �room� Carly is trying to talk to him when Sonny arrives, but he is not being very forthcoming with her. Taggart arrives shortly thereafter to get Zander�s statement. Taggart tries to convince Zander that he owes Sonny no loyalties, but with Sonny standing there it doesn�t help. Zander claims he was very upset, wasn�t watching where he was going which caused him to trip and fall. Taggart doesn�t buy it and offers to return after Sonny leaves. Zander claims his story won�t change no matter how many times Taggart asks. Carly realizes that Sonny was responsible for the beating and after apologizing to Zander storms off. Sonny goes after her and catches up with her in the elevator. Carly warns Sonny not to touch her and if Zander was beat up because he wanted to sleep with her (AS IF!) Sonny reminds her that he does not owe her an explanation but will give her one-THIS time because he loves her. Sonny tells Carly that Zander sold him out to the competition-for that he should be dead. Sonny says he made and exception (this time) because he is Carly�s friend but won�t do it again. Sonny informs Carly that if she can�t live with his terms she needs to walk away-NOW. Carly replies that she understands how his life works and will accept it because she loves him. They smile at each other and hug.

SPENCER HOUSE-
During a phone conversation Laura asks Luke where he is. Luke only tells her that everything is OK and that he will be home soon. Later Laura shares her concern over Luke with Bobbie. Bobbies suggest that it is just pre-wedding jitters. Laura adds that her new engagement ring is missing. Bobbie tries to keep looking on the bright side by pointing out that at least no one is missing or in danger. Laura still won�t shake it off and tells Bobbie that even though Luke didn�t say anything, she is sure he feels something is wrong too. Laura believes that her missing wedding dress and engagement ring are more than a mere coincidence.

PENTONVILLE PRISON-
Luke bribes the guard to forget he was ever there. (We also learn that he did the same with the warden). He enters a visiting room and greets Helena who indicates that she has been expecting. They engage in what appears to be typical Luke/Helena banter/insults. Helena wonders why the wedding hasn�t happened yet. Luke ponders what her next move will be. Luke engages in a little stroll down memories lane with a vivid description of a certain night aboard her yacht. Helena laughs and agrees it was a wonderful evening. Luke immediately grabs her and demands to know who she is. He knows she is not Helena because the night he just described did not happen. The woman tells him she is Helena�s identical cousin. When Luke demands she tell him Helena�s whereabouts, the woman claims she doesn�t know for sure, but most likely a country without an extradition treaty-like Switzerland. Luke doesn�t believe her and threatens to use his contacts inside the prison to make her life miserable if she doesn�t help. The woman laughs it off and tells him she is dying anyways so it doesn�t matter to her. Luke vows to find Helena somehow.

ON THE DOCKS-
Lucky runs into Liz on the docks, apologizes for hurting her (again) and asks her NOT to avoid him. He tells her again that though they tried, he and Sarah just couldn�t deny their feelings for each other. Liz assures him that she is over it and has moved on too. Lucky leaves, Jason arrives. Liz tells Jason that she understands he can�t tell her some things, but she doesn�t want to jump to conclusions about him again (like she did in his fight with Lucky). Jason urges her to leave it alone and tells her it time for her to make a choice. He tells her he has never lied about who he is or what he does. He reminds her that she knows he DOESN�T make explanations or excuses about it. Jason tells Liz she needs to decide if she wants to keep associating with him on those terms. Liz tells him she doesn�t want to loose their friendship, so she chooses to keep him in her life.

AT GH-
Lucky tells Sarah about his latest conversation with Liz and urges her to try to talk to Liz as well. Sarah fills him in on the last time she saw her sister, with Zander in the ER. Lucky expresses concern that Liz is involved with Zander. Sarah thinks Lucky is jealous and reminds him that he and Liz are over therefore he doesn�t get to have a vote in Liz�s life anymore. Lucky tries to explain that Zander is trouble, but Sarah doesn�t want to hear it.

ALEXIS PH-
Ned accompanies an unhappy Alexis home where she begins to beat herself up for being blinded by Sonny. She tells Ned that she truly believed that Sonny would NEVER hurt anyone he cared about. Ned gives her a big hug and she thanks him for being there when she needed a shoulder to lean on. Ned advises her to take the time to deal with what she has just learned. Alexis asks him not to tell Kristina what has happened. After Ned leaves Alexis has another �conversation� with her unborn child, in which she reveals her decision NOT to tell Sonny about the baby. Patting her stomach, she assures the baby they will be all right on their own.
