General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 11-Jun-2002

Hey friends,
I apologize in advance for any mistakes I may have made or things I might have forgotten. THIS episode aired over a week ago so I am going mainly from memory...

Monica gives Alan a “present”-a box of shredded paper. Alan is not amused at what he assumes to be a “symbol” of their current status. Monica explains that it is what is left of the divorce petition-she has changed her mind. Alan asks Monica to prove she really does love him by letting him move back into their bedroom. Monica further stuns Alan when she admits that he was right about AJ and she was WRONG. She goes on to say that AJ actions are un-excusable and she should not have supported him in them.

Ned brings flowers to the hospital to surprise volunteer worker Kristina. Before he can find her he runs into the doctor that attended Alexis after her fall during her altercation with Carly. Ned tries to get info about Alexis' condition from the doctor by pretending that he already knows when the doctor assumes he knows. However the doctor doesn’t give him any real information. Unfortunately, Kristina overhears his “prying” and accuses him of being obsessed with Alexis. Ned explains that the doctor approached him, and then presents her with the flowers. Kris immediately feels sheepish for over-reacting and they agree to meet for dinner.

Carly wants Sonny to invite Jason to join them for dinner. Sonny explains that Jason is busy and may not be able to join them. Sonny escorts Carly to the elevator then returns to his PH. Carly only pretends to leave. As soon as she is sure Sonny can’t see her, she hurries to Alexis’ door. When Alexis answers, Carly pushes her way in and tells Alexis that she needs to move so Jason can move back in. Carly gives Alexis the name of a real estate agent and urges her to move as far away as possible to avoid further embarrassing herself over Sonny. Carly tells Alexis that not only does Sonny no longer want Alexis but he belongs to her (Carly). Alexis asks why Carly is so worried and jealous-if what Carly says is true. Alexis points out that Sonny wouldn’t appreciate Carly referring to him as property. She manages to add that Carly’s only way of getting Sonny back was to drive over a cliff in a pathetic attempt for attention.

Jax visits ELQ-HQ and discovers that during Skye’s absence Edward as managed to make himself the sole CEO of ELQ. Jax warns Edward that he has gone to far this time. However in his typical way Jax gives Edward a chance to undo the damage. Jax offers Edward one of three choices reinstate Skye, run-preferably to another country or GO TO JAIL. As usual Lila tries to save his butt-but for once she doesn’t manage to sway Jax. Later, Jax assures Edward that despite his liking and respect for Lila, he will grind Edward into dust.

Zander refuses to back down from Jason. He taunts Jason and tries to push him. His mistake however comes when he tries to punch Jason. Not only does Jason get away untouched, but he teaches Zander a very painful lesson on the consequences of betrayal. Before leaving, Jason warns Zander to keep his trap shut about Sonny’s business and about what just happened. As Jason is trying to hurry away Liz comes strolling along and strikes up a conversation with him (apparently she does NOT notice Zander laying on the ground 20 feet away). Liz suggests they go for a ride on his bike, but Jason suggest another time, as he is currently busy. They part and Liz continues on her way. A few seconds later she hears some moaning, sees the body, rushes over, realizes its Zander and calls 9-1-1.

Alexis remains undecided whether to tell Sonny about the baby. In a funny scene Alexis daydreams herself as a witness on the stand in court. She also is the questioning attorney and is there for questioning herself. She is brought out of the daydream when she receives a call that makes her rush out.

Jax goes to GH to see Alan and Monica. But first he runs into Kristina who asks him if he thinks Ned is still in love with Alexis. Jax tells her to ask Ned which leaves her with the impression that she is correct. Jax finally tracks Alan and Monica down. He tells them what Edward has done and warns them that if they don’t get Edward under control immediately, he will destroy ELQ and decimate the Q fortune in the process. Alan and Monica are convinced that Jax not only means what he says but also is also fully capable of doing so. They realize they must do something about Edward ASAP. Meanwhile, over at ELQ, while Edward’s new “assistant” Petra plies him with power foods, Edward fills her in on his plan to get Michael back.

Zander is brought into the ER. Liz is still with him. Ned asks what happened, but Liz can only tell him that Zander doesn’t want the Police involved. Tony reports that Zander was the victim of a professional beating. When Zander declines Tony’ offer to call Sonny. Alexis arrives and Ned implies that Sonny is responsible for Zander’s beating. Alexis defends Sonny, as usual and as usual Ned accuses her of being in denial. Alexis starts to walk away but drops her pursue and several things spill out. Ned helps her pick them up, and then they stop arguing and stand close by Zander’s beside. Unseen by either Kristina approaches. When she sees them standing close together, her insecurities resurface and she walks away with out speaking to them. Tony calls the PCPD anyways. Liz questions Zander and asks if the beating was meant for Jason. After she thinks about it she realizes that Jason was involved. Alexis enters and asks Zander who beat him. Zander doesn’t answer. Alexis asks if Sonny is responsible, but again Zander says nothing. Out by the nurses’ station, a nurse hands Ned something and tells him his friend (meaning Alexis) dropped it when she dropped her purse. Ned looks at the item-a bottle of PRENATAL vitamins.

Carly is happy when Jason stops by. She tells him how happy she is to have him back and asks him to stay permanently. Carly is in the kitchen when Sonny arrives. Jason reports that Zander got the message and understands the rules-now. Carly returns, overhears part of the conversation and was usual asks questions. Sonny evades them. Jason as usual just doesn’t answer. Michael arrives and at Carly’s urging welcomes Jason home. Later, Michael asks if they will all be living together again. Before Carly can say anything, Sonny explains that though he and Carly love each other they are not going to be living together anytime soon. Later, Carly makes a toast to her “family” just as the doorbell rings. It is Taggart, who wants to question Jason and Sonny about the assault on Zander.
