1. Church Before the Funeral - “Lip Service” - A.J. comes to the church to pay his respects before the others arrive. Sonny grants him one minute. A.J. goes up to Carly’s coffin and promises to be there for Michael. Sonny tells him to stay away from Michael then makes some veiled threats, which Jax and Skye hear as they enter the church. Jax tells A.J. to leave, and Skye agrees. A.J. conveys to his sister his deep disappointment that she’s let him down like everyone else in the family. After he leaves, Skye goes over to Sonny to express her condolences. She also says she realizes A.J. is out of line, but he is her brother and she doesn’t want to see him hurt. She asks Sonny to call her first if A.J. becomes a major problem, and SHE will deal with it. She goes to make sure A.J. has left the premises. Jax tells Sonny that Carly was an amazing woman. After he’s gone, Sonny speaks to the coffin: “Looks like the candy boy liked you a little bit, huh? Everybody did, Carly. You’ll be surprised who shows up today.”

2. Brownstone - “Denial” - Bobbie’s friends gather around her, and Lucky is upset when Nikolas also shows up. Bobbie insists that the body in the casket is not Carly, and she won’t sit through a service that tells her her daughter’s dead. She goes upstairs, leaving the others debating what to do next. Felecia thinks Bobbie’s in denial, but Luke asks the others not to pressure his sister. They decide to wait a few minutes to see if Bobbie comes down. Laura takes the opportunity to talk to Nikolas, who is unsure if he’ll be welcome at the funeral. Laura says he should go to support Bobbie, and she also asks that he have patience with Lucky. Nikolas leaves to go pick up Gia for the funeral. Everyone heads over to the church, leaving Luke at the brownstone with Bobbie. After the others have gone, Bobbie comes downstairs in a black dress. She’s still unsure of what she should do. Luke says he’ll support whatever decision she makes. She decides to go to the funeral.

3. Quartermaine Mansion - “Marry Me, Mother My Child” - A happy A.J. returns to the mansion and asks Courtney if she’d like to go to Paris for breakfast. An unusually astute Courtney wants to know what’s going on. A.J. admits he just made a mistake by going to the church. Courtney says he just went there to upset her brother, and she urges him to back off. That is not an option, A.J. declares. In fact, he’s made a decision and really needs her support. Then he stalls, talking about how Carly lives every day of her life like it was her last and how she always went for what she wanted. He’s always wanted to raise his son. Michael doesn’t know you, Courtney points out. A.J. says he knows she didn’t sign on to raise a child, but he asks her to help him raise Michael. He adds that he wants to be a real part of his son’s life but not if it means losing her. Courtney tells A.J. she would never stand between him and his son.

4. Wyndemere - “Let’s Make a Deal” - Taggert tells Gia that he’s taking her back to Brooklyn. No way, you don’t control my life, Gia responds. Taggert says he has proof that she helped Helena escape. Now he can either honor his commitment as a policeman and turn her in or honor his family commitment and keep her out of jail. He says she should never have gotten involved with the Cassadines. She can’t keep breaking the law; eventually, Nikolas will leave her hanging. Taggert tells his sister to walk away from this life, and the evidence against her will disappear. Gia just keeps denying that she did anything wrong. Taggert gives her 48 hours to make the right decision. Nikolas comes in at the tail end of the discussion and wants to know what’s going on. Taggert won’t tell him anything. After he leaves, a nervous Gia says she thinks Helena sent a copy of the videotape to her brother. Nikolas tells her to just do nothing; Taggert would never send his own sister to jail. After Nikolas goes to see if the car is ready to take them to the funeral, Gia remembers that Taggert told her Nikolas would advise her to do nothing. She is visibly upset.

5. The Funeral - “Full House” - The first to arrive at the funeral is Alexis. She tells Sonny she would do anything to bring Carly back. Next a contingent of Sonny’s associates enter and sit near the back. The Quartermaines come in after them, with Edward grumbling about staying away from the thugs. Amy and Tony enter together, with Tony going up to the coffin to pay his respects. Elizabeth comes in alone, but after a moment’s hesitation, she goes to sit with Audrey and Sarah. Felecia, Mac and Maxie take a seat behind Audrey and her granddaughters. Ned and Kristina arrive and sit with Alexis. Mike sits with Sonny in the front pew. Lucky comes in with Laura and Scott and Roy. He glances at Elizabeth (with Maxie watching from the background) and sits in the pew in front of her. Finally, Bobbie and Luke enter the church. Bobbie pauses by the casket for a moment, a bewildered look on her face, then takes a seat in the front pew opposite Sonny. The priest starts the service and asks for family and friends to share their memories of Carly. Jax goes forward first. He says Carly could be ruthless but she always had her reasons. Club 101 was her declaration of independence. She was a woman who loved fiercely. He is glad she was a part of his life. Next Zander comes to the front of the church. He tells everyone that Carly could be a true friend if she liked you. Most of all, she was brave and never backed away from anything. Luke takes his turn at the pulpit. He says he and Carly didn’t like each other much, probably because they were too much alike. He observes that Carly ripped lives apart but she also loved and was loved. Especially by her mother, he adds, who now has to face the heartbreak of letting her go and learning to live on with just her memory. Bobbie finally goes forward. She starts to talk about giving Carly up on the day she was born and how she showed up one day many years later. Then Bobbie breaks down, as the reality of the situation hits her. Sonny goes up to comfort her. There’s a noise from the back of the church, and everyone turns to look. A confused-looking Carly with a bruise on her forehead has entered the building!
