General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 15-May-2002

Okay... I'm new at this, so please have patience! Here goes nothin.......

At Wyndemere:
Nik and Gia are in the living room talking and decide to go have a hot bath together. After they leave Sharifa sneaks in through the tunnels and sits down at Nik's computer. Gia comes back and catches Sharifa. She covers by saying that she was checking her email. Gia suggests that next time she ask Nik permission before using his computer. Sharifa conceeds and leaves. Gia sits back at computer, presumably to check where Sharifa was.
Liz shows up saying that she is looking for a necklace that was apparently not packed by Mrs. Lansbury. Gia is standing in the hall and overhears the conversation Liz has with Nik. Nik tells Liz that he misses her and hates the distance between them and wants to get back their friendship. Liz informs him that the one thing she learned from her breakup with Lucky was that you can't go back. Nik says that he hopes she will one day forgive him and that they can be friends again. He leaves and as Liz is leaving Gia confronts her in the hallway.
Gia wants to know how Liz can look down on Nik and announces that she is glad to have him. Liz says of course you are, now that he has lost everything that mattered to him. She tells Gia that she knows that Helena somehow found out about the accident and threatened to expose Gia if she didn't help her to escape, but in comes Nik to save the day and in the process looses everything. She says that one day she will get what she has coming. What goes around comes around.
Sharifa meets up with Taggert at his apartment and tells him that Gia caught her at the computer and that the only evidence they will have on her is the tape. Taggert announces that it is Nikolas he wants, not Gia. At most Gia is an accomplis.

At the Q Mansion:
Edward tells AJ that with Carly dead, now is the perfect time to get custody of Michael. AJ informs his grandfather that he already has a plan and is going to the funeral with Courtney. Monica and Alan are out in the balcony talking about Carly's death and how they can help Bobbie through it. They agree not to mention the custody battle. They walk into the house and overhear AJ telling Edward that he will persuade Courtney to attend saying that it will be a supportive gesture. Monica blasts him for being incentive to Bobbie's grief and begs him not to attend the funeral. Alan reminds AJ about the possibily of Sonny loosing it and that it would not be a good idea to provoke him. Edward thinks its a great idea if Sonny attacks AJ at the funeral; Sonny will prove he is a thug and they will have a better chance of getting Michael back. AJ agrees and announces that he will tell Courtney that they are not going to the funeral. Alan tells Edward that he IS NOT to bring up the issue of Michael at the funeral. Edward storms out saying that they can't stop him from seeing his only grandson. Alan tells Monica he will watch Edward and thanks her for taking a stand with AJ.

At the Brownstone:
Sonny arrives at the Brownstone and Bobbie thanks him for taking care of everything. He admits that he didn't want Bobbie to have to deal with it. Bobbie remembers how Carly hated it when Sonny stepped in and took over, but she is thankful for his help. Bobbie tells Sonny that despite all the fighting, Carly knew that she could trust him.
Bobbie informs Sonny that Michael is at the park with Letitia and they talk about how they are going to tell Michael about Carly. Sonny offers to tell him, but would like to have Bobbie present. She assures him that she will support any decision and that she is glad that he is Michael's father and not AJ. AJ would only take advantage of the situation. She knows that Alexis will find a way to keep Michael with Sonny and away from AJ. They agree not to have Michael at the funeral. They talk about custody and Bobbie tells Sonny that he is a wonderful father and will understand completely if he wants Michael with him.
As Sonny is leaving Bobbie's, Luke shows up. A delivery man arrives with a HUGE bouqet of flowers sent by AJ. Sonny tells the delivery man that he wants the flowers DESTROYED, not given to anyone, but burned. Luke and Sonny talk about how much they hate AJ and Luke tells him that if AJ messes with Bobbie again, he will personally take a bat to his head. Luke tells Sonny that he is thankful that Bobbie has him for a son-in-law because he knows that Sonny will do everything he can to keep Michael away from AJ. (a possible reunion between Luke and Sonny??)
Luke comforts Bobbie and she tells him that she needs him now more than ever. She remembers being pregnant with Carly and giving her up. They talk about the kind of person Carly grew up to be and Luke tells her that Carly was a true Spencer through and through. Bobbie tells Luke that she can't handle this alone and he swears that he will be there to hold her up and will not let her fall.
Felicia and Roy show up, but are allowing Bobbie time with Luke. They sit they talk about the weather and then Felicia recalls her feelings when Maxie was dying. She is thankful for everyday they have together and has no idea how Bobbie can bury 2 daughters. Roy tells her that Bobbie said she is grateful that BJ is alive in Maxie.

At Alexi's apartment:
Alexis is busy working, trying to secure Sonny's rights as Michael's father when Kristina arrives with their outfits for the funeral. Alexis announces that given the circumstances and the fact that her and Carly were not the closest of friends, she will not be attending the funeral. Kristina tells her that Carly's death is NOT her fault and asks her half sister what she thinks Sonny needs right now. Alexis says that the most she can contribute is to make the custody and legal issues less of a problem for Sonny and Bobbie. Kristina conceeds and as she is leaving Zander shows up with a suit. She asks if he wants her to stay, but he wants to speak to Alexis alone.
He figured that other than Carly, the only person who send him a suit would be Alexis so he wants to know if its to make her feel better for sleeping with Sonny or to make him feel better for kicking Carly out and ultimately causing her death. Alexis tells him that the suit was a gift and that Carly would not want Zander to be blaming herself. He continues to berate himself about his last night with Carly. Alexis tries to reason with him by saying that he kicked her out because he knew that she truly loved Sonny and only wanted to sleep with Zander to get back at him. Zander reminds Alexis that when they were held hostage by Sorel, Carly fought tooth and nail to save their lives and how do they repay her? Alexis sleeps with the man she loves and he throws her out. Zander apologizes to Alexis saying that he is mad at himself not Alexis and that it was wrong to take his anger out on her. He thanks her for the suit and leaves.
Alexis is trying to work some more, but remembers a conversation she had with Carly where Carly is telling Alexis that she couldn't possibly know what Sonny is thinking or feeling because she doesn't love him. A knock at the door and Sonny is standing outside.
They talk a bit about Bobbie and how she is handling the situation. Sonny tells Alexis that he has agreed to tell Michael but can't think of how to do it. Alexis tells him to reassure Michael that he will not loose him too. Sonny admits that he doesn't handle death well. He hurts the people around him, pushes them away and shuts down. He vows not to do that to Michael or to Alexis. He shyly admits that he needs her to be around. Alexis reluctantly tells Sonny that she will not be going to the funeral. He says he understands and leaves. Alexis begins to have second thoughts..

At the Church:
A very heart wrenching scene involving Sonny.
He walks up to the coffin and begins to talk to Carly. He admits that he doesn't know how to tell Michael that his mother is dead but that he will probably say something about angels and heaven. He tells her that since he wasn't able to tell her everything he wanted to when she was alive he will tell her now. He tells her that he forgives her for EVERYTHING. He tells her that he respects her, that she is loyal, smart, has great instincts and is the bravest person he has ever known. He tells her that he loves her and hopes that one day she will be able to forgive him for what he did to her and that he is sorry for not having the courage to tell her before. He vows that he will honor her wishes and will protect Michael from AJ. Sonny looks up as someone walks into the church. (Naturally, we can only see the back of the person... could it be Jason????)

On the next General Hospital:
1) Marcus informs Gia that he is taking her back to Brooklyn. NO WAY Gia announces.
2) It is not Jason at the Church, but AJ. He is at the coffin, explaining how life will not be the same without her. Sonny: "Are you finished?"
3) Bobbie announces that she has made a decision and needs everyone's help. States that Carly is NOT dead. Felicia: You're not going to the funeral?"
