General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 14-May-2002

This was a fantastic General Hospital segment! There was soooooo much intrigue, excitement, and pathos.First, Gia is told by Nicholas that they are safe. An incriminating tape from Helena has been sent to them. They are unaware that Taggert's lovely spy has taken this one to Marcus. Nick tries, as always, to reassure Gia that No one will hurt them.When Marcus views this tape, he realizes that Gia did abet Nicholas in Helena's escape. He is, rightfully, very upset. He loves Gia dearly, but first he is a good cop sooooo. He tells her that he "needs to sit on this for a while".Lucky and Sarah have been wrestling with their lustful emotions in the dark Room while waiting for Maxie to let them out. Sarah tells Lucky that they still cannot give into this "Physical chemical attraction". Lucky tries to convey that this will not be a ONE NIGHT FLING. He says," this has been there for a long time".Sarah says, "You just had a high school crush on me". She also tells him that she cannot betray Lizzie .He tries to kiss her, but she turns away only to see Elizabeth's photo in the chemical mix. Just in time, Maxie arrives with a key to let Lucky out. When she sees Lucky with Sarah, She asks,"What was that about?"Lucky yells at the immature little, teen vixen. She looks hurt so he apologizes and says that she can still work with him. OOPS, Does he not see how Maxie feels? In the meantime, everyone is anxiously awaiting news from Carly's DNA test on' the body '. Bobbie still contends that her Carly is alive. Sonny has seen the body so ,in a Zombie -like trance, he kind of Zooms out in the elevator.When his strength returns, he goes to the park.He just sits there in a daze while contemplating his next step. This may be something this powerful man "CAN"T FIX." A hand touches his shoulder, and it's Courtney.No, it wasn't CARLY. His Sis has come to comfort him.Kristina, on the other hand, blurts out that Carly's body has been recovered. A SHAKEN Alexis says "I wish I had never met Sonny. He must be grieving so, and what can I do?"Kris asks her if she wishes that she had not had sex with him. Alexis says something about CONTEXT, and insists that she will stay away from Sonny unless he needs her. She truly breaks down and cries, Kristina empathizes and listens like a devoted sis. She's great!Back to Bobbie who tells Luke that she knows Carly's alive. Luke says that he will go to get the DNA news himself. Meanwhile, NEWS TRUCKS are waiting outside to get the news. Bobbie says,"they want Carly dead so they can get a news story." Scotty comes over to simply sit with Bobbie who has not eaten or slept.Zander also overhears waiters in Carly's club discussing the finding of her body. He gets furious when they talk disrespectfully about their boss. Nick comes in time to keep Zander from beating up these two employees. He too is distraught.As this scenario ends, Luke comes back to face his beloved sis, Bobbie. Luke ,with a somber look, says," I"m sorry. Baby, the body the divers pulled from the lake is Carly's." She hyperventilates and falls to her knees in overwhelming grief_ despair. This reviewer almost cried too. Tune into see what happens next.
