General Hospital Update for Friday, 10-May-2002

IT�S MY HOUSE AND I�LL THROW YOU OUT IF I WANT TO-
Reginald and Big Alice rudely awaken Alan as they fight over music styles. Much to his chagrin, Monica has ordered them to help her soon-to-be ex-husband remove himself from the premises. A truly laughable scene ensues as Alice goes at Alan to physically remove him. Alan holds her back by brandishing an alarm clock as a weapon; while Reginald tries to restrain her-but he can barely get his arms around the woman. Monica dismisses them and tells Alan to get out or she will make his life miserable. Alan informs his wife that though they may not always get along, he is not willing to give up on their marriage yet. It�s hard to tell, but I think Monica was warmed by Alan�s announcement that he intends to fight for her�

WHAT A LOUSY WAY TO START THE DAY-
While AJ, Courtney and Edward are having breakfast, Alexis arrives with a restraining order for AJ. She warns him that if he comes hear Michael again he will land in jail faster than his head can spin. AJ plays the contrite concerned parent but the only one who buys it is Courtney. AJ bravely informs Alexis that IF Carly is dead he intends to seek a change in Michael�s guardianship. He smugly assures Alexis that no court in the world would give custody to a criminal like Sonny. Alexis bursts his bubble (and Courtney�s) when she reminds him that he himself is a criminal. She then tells Courtney that AJ burned down Sonny and Jason�s warehouse. Courtney is appalled when Alexis reveals that AJ signed custody over to Carly in the first place solely to keep himself out of jail. However, AJ manages to get Courtney�s sympathy back by professing that she has changed him. Alexis leaves before she gags on the lovely-dovely scene. Later, Edward heaps praise on AJ for standing up to Sonny�s lawyer�

LET�S TALK ABOUT�COMMITMENT-
Kristina (in what is apparently a sisterly trait) babbles on about the perfectness of the night before to Ned (Coincidentally she is also wearing only a man�s black shirt!) She tells Ned she is glad they waited until there was a feeling of commitment in their relationship. Later she takes it back because she thinks Ned is not ready, but he surprises her when he tells her he DOES want to make a commitment. Their lazy morning is interrupted by Alexis� arrival. Alexis is embarrassed by her inopportune intrusion. They all feel uncomfortable and Alexis quickly excuses herself�

INVASION OF THE POD PEOPLE-
Skye and Jax lounge, debating how long they can stay in bed. Their time is quickly brought to a finish as Rae stops by to say farewell before returning to Llanview. Being his usual sensitive self, Jax gives the women a few moments alone to say goodbye. Rae offers to listen any time Skye wants to talk and bids her daughter a fond farewell; she even tells Skye she loves her. Skye acts strangely after Rae�s departure and eventually Jax gets her to confess that she is afraid of all the new happy feelings she is having-Like wanting to tell her mother she loved her. Later as they stroll in the park, Skye makes some sappy remarks about how wonderfully beautiful everything seems. This leads her to start saying stupid stuff-like she is afraid she is losing her sense of self and that she is being taken over by a pod person. That changes quickly when she see Courtney walking Rosie. Skye approaches her sister-in-law but before she can even broach a subject, Courtney cuts her off with nasty remarks. They eventually exchange insults before Courtney stomps off. Jax assures Skye that for once Courtney was deserving of the remarks and that Skye is in no danger of loosing herself or becoming a bland pod person. Jax receives a phone call, which clearly unsettles him�

LOOSER�S WEEPERS-
Monica makes snide remarks to Rae when she finds the latter in her home. Rae tells Monica that she only stopped by to say goodbye as she is on her way to the airport. When Monica informs Rae that she told Alan to move out, Rae advises her to think twice. She reminds Monica that there are thousands of women who would love to have a kind, generous, thoughtful, intelligent, giving, (not to mention rich) man like Alan for themselves. Monica scoffs, but Rae cautions her to be sure or she will end up ALONE. This seems to give Monica pause for thought, but before it can fully sink in Alan walks in and greets Rae warmly. With a snide remark to Rae to �help herself to the leftovers� Monica leaves. Alan apologizes for Monica, Rae for her bad timing. Rae bids Alan farewell and they share a kiss�

FACING THE FACTS-
Sonny lets himself into Carly�s house and is looking wistfully around when he hears a noise upstairs. He immediately thinks it�s Carly and calls out to her. However, it�s only Bobbie, Michael and Leticia who have come over to pick-up some of Michael things. While Bobbie goes off to pack a lunch to take to the park, Sonny questions Michael more closely about his encounter with Carly in Bobbie�s back yard. It is revealed that Michael isn�t very clear about that night except for one thing-Carly was wearing a CROWN when he saw her. Sonny is forced to realize that Michael may have dreamt or imagined the whole thing. After getting Leticia and Michael to go ahead to the park, Sonny tries to get Bobbie to talk about the very real possibility that Carly is Dead. Bobbie, still deeply in denial, excuses Sonny�s lapse in belief by saying he is just tired and will buck up again once he gets some rest. Sonny tries to explain about the crown, but Bobbie brushes it off and tries to convince him that she would know in her heart if Carly was dead. They appear to be at an impasse when Jax arrives with news. A body has been recovered from the lake�

THE NAME GAME-
Courtney and Rosie (the puppy) attract attention from a little boy as they stroll through the park. The boy pets the puppy as Courtney introduces herself. When the boy tells her his name �Michael Corinthos�, Courtney realizes just who he is�

SoapNet is going live with a one-hour Daytime Emmy(R) preview show on Friday, May 17 from 8-9 p.m.
Bob Barker will be hosting the Day Time Emmy's this year.
Tamara Braun was seen getting ready for her return to taping on the GH set-Monday and Tuesday (5/6; 5/7). So CARLY is NOT off the show she is either not really dead or will be returning as an angel (ala Jillian on AMC).
Viewers can vote for their favorite Villian/Couple this year for the Daytime Emmys! (May 17th-9pm CBS) Go to: The Emmy Vote .
Despite rumors all over the Internet about Vanessa Marcil being thisclose to returning as Brenda Barrett, TVGuide online now confirms a report that the rumor is NOT true.
