General Hospital Update for Monday, 29-Apr-2002

Lucky denies Nik’s accusation of leaving a cryptic message at Wyndemere in an attempt to ‘mess with his mind’. Gia attempts to play peacemaker by claiming she believes Lucky didn’t do it. Nik refuses to believe Lucky though and after another exchange of harsh words, the brothers find themselves further apart when they finally do part company. Back at Wyndemere, Gia suggests that the message could have come from Helena. Nik shoots down that theory by saying he has questioned both the domestic and security staffs and no one saw hide nor hair of Helena or her minions (like THAT means anything). Sharifa suddenly jumps up from a sofa-where she was drinking tea unseen by either Gia or Nik-and points out that this is one of the drawbacks of being young, handsome, rich and famous; there is ALWAYS some nut who will try to mess with you. She then picks up a framed photo, which she claims appeared in her room overnight, and asks who the man in the picture is…Stavros. Nik gets VERY upset, grabs the picture and throws it against the wall. Later, the women return to find Nik brooding over the picture of his father, determined to get to the bottom of the ‘mysterious’ goings on…

Back on the set, Maxie and a couple of friends drool over the hunky photographer-Lucky. Maxie tells her friends about her close relationship with Lucky, and then strikes up a conversation with him to prove it. Lucky is amused by the girls and even lets them “help” pack up the camera equipment. When Lucky goes to load up his car, the girls ask Maxie if he is “available”. Maxie confides that Lucky just came out of a long relationship, but warns the other girls that she has “first dibs” on him. When her friends say Lucky is out of her league, Maxie pulls Lucky aside for a private word…

After Zander’s upsetting news, Sonny starts to rush out of the penthouse. Courtney tries to stop him, but Sonny harshly tells her to tell AJ there will NEVER be a trade. Pronouncing that that is the END of the subject Sonny hurries off. Alexis stays with Courtney and announces that she has a crash course for the girl on the history of her brother and her new husband...

Zander disses the police department for not doing enough to find Carly. Meanwhile Jax urges Mac to put more divers on the case; he even offers to personally underwrite the search. Scott, who is at the station on other business, overhears the news and reluctantly volunteers to tell Bobbie the bad news when Jax confirms that she has no idea Carly has had an accident…

Mike shows up at the Q mansion with a gift for the newlyweds. AJ taunts him and Mike states that though he doesn’t agree, he will find a way to accept the marriage for his daughter’s sake. AJ says he can offer Courtney lots of things she had only dreamed of. But Mike retorts with the fact that others can too, including Sonny. Mike then tells his new son-in-law that he knows enough about Courtney to know that she will see through him eventually. Then points out that Michael doesn’t even recognize him, much less know AJ is his father. Mike then rubs it in by pointing out the mistakes AJ has made which have led to this point. When Mike does leave it is obvious that AJ is not pleased…

At the park Michael picks flowers for Bobbie and Carly. Scott shows up and is obviously upset; Bobbie warns him that if he is there to continue berating Carly he can forget it. As Scott suggests they find someone to watch Michael while they talk, Sonny shows up. Sonny distracts the little boy with a talk and an ice cream while Scott gives Bobbie the bad news, hopeful news. The car that went over the bluff has been identified as Carly’s, but no body has been found so there is still hope that she is alive. Later, Scott takes Michael to the swings to give Bobbie and Sonny a chance to talk. Bobbie immediately lashes out at Sonny with a harsh accusation. She just as quickly apologizes when she see that Sonny is also very upset. Sonny tries to comfort her by reminding her that Carly is fighter and wouldn’t give up easily. He also cautions Bobbie that AJ may make a play for Michael in light of Carly's accident…

Alexis gives Courtney a quick review on the Sonny/AJ battle history. She tells Courtney that today was an especially bad day to bring up Michael-because of Carly’s accident. Courtney assures Alexis that she had no idea, and neither did AJ. When Courtney starts to defend AJ again saying everyone doesn’t know him like she does, Alexis points out “maybe not, but we’ve all known him alot longer”. Alexis urges Courtney to go home and pass Sonny’s message on to AJ. When Courtney asks what Sonny meant by “trade”, Alexis fills her in on AJ’s offer to Sonny when they where in the Caribbean. Then tells the shocked girl to consider if she really wants to be with a man who could do that on the same day he promised to love her forever. Back at the mansion, AJ acts concerned when Courtney returns and tells him she has bad news. AJ asks if Sonny hurt her. Courtney tells her husband how they where discussing Michael when Sony received a phone call that made him rush out. After filling AJ in on Carly’s accident, Courtney is appalled when AJ can’t contain his giddy smile…

Down at the bluff, the recovery unit attempts to bring up the car. Jax stands at the rail and watches as the sounds of a helicopter are heard over head and the search lights swivel around...
