General Hospital Update for Thursday, 18-Apr-2002

IN PORT CHARLES-

Outside of Jake�s, Elizabeth stares in shock at the sight of Lucky and Sarah with their arms around each other. Unaware that Liz is listening, Sarah tells Lucky that they must pretend that nothing has ever happened between them. Lucky express the regret that he can�t feel the way he used to about Liz anymore.

Gia and Nik return from Audrey�s party and try to enjoy a relaxing evening at Wyndemere. Nik seeks assurance from Gia that she will always love him, no matter what. They roast marshmallows in front of the fireplace as they playfully make smores

On the docks, Liz angrily throws items that Lucky gave her-included her coat-into the harbor unaware that Zander is sitting near by and can see her. Surprisingly, Zander lends a sympathetic ear as Liz unburdens her feelings. As Liz vents she realizes that despite the pain, she is glad that everything is out in the open and that she and Lucky can stop trying so hard. She thanks Zander for being a friend even though she hasn�t always been very nice to him. Zander explains that when Emily broke up with him all he wanted was for someone to listen and sympathize, so he understands what she is going through�

Later, at the hospital, Sarah apologizes to Audrey from missing the festivities. When Audrey encourages her to socialize more, Sarah doges by saying that being a resident is a 24-hour a day job and doesn�t leave time for a social life. Sarah confides in her grandmother that she thinks she is complicating Liz�s life. Audrey assures her that Liz is happy to have her back and produces a picture to prove it. A picture of Lucky with his arms around both Webber sisters�Lucky finds a piece of jewelry with Sarah�s name on the ground outside Jake�s and holds it tenderly�

ON ST. SOFIA-

As the dancing continues on the terrace, A.J. continues drinking champagne out of the view of everyone else. A bit later, Courtney thanks her big brother for changing his mind in time to share the happiest day of her life. Sonny assures a beaming Courtney that the vendetta is over and even gives a wary A.J. a hug as he welcomes him to the family. Later, Skye realizes that AJ has fallen off the wagon, but her warnings fall on deaf ears as AJ hints everyone should leave so the lovebirds can be alone.

Later, Jax finds Skye sitting on the beach, but for some reason she rejects his offer of a moonlight swim (Ha! Ha! Ha!) Skye blames herself for not doing enough to stop the situation before it got out of hand. Jax absolves her of any guilt by saying she did tell the truth but Courtney choose not to believe it. He asks for her complete trust in the next 24-hour period.

At the airport, Alexis and Sonny have to wait for some minor repairs to the plane. Alexis is suspicious and questions Sonny�s happy mood considering the circumstances. Sonny tells her that since there is nothing he can do about what has already happened he has to accept it and go from there. He tries to distract her with a card game. Later, we are treated to a rare sight-a giggling Alexis playfully accuses a laughing, teasing Sonny of cheating at poker.

After the guests leave Courtney catches AJ drinking and toasting to the �plan that almost worked�. AJ dismisses her concerns by telling her that he can handle champagne, it�s vodka he has to watch out for. He sends her off to bed promising he will join her soon. After changing and lighting some candles for atmosphere, Courtney looks for AJ again and see him slumped on the sofa-drinking straight from the bottle now�

Alexis decides to try and find Carly herself, but Sonny ends up as her white knight when thugs threaten her safety.

Stephen Nichols will be starring in a new play �He Hunts� at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles from 4/17 to 5/19. Co-Starring with SN are Maxwell Caulfield, Carol Kane and Valerie Pettiford. Considering the success of his last play, if you�re a fan and in the LA area you may want to try and catch his performance.
