General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 16-Apr-2002

Sorry this has taken so long. Bad weather kept me from using my computer last night...

DRESS REHERSAL-
{Q HOUSE}
Alan arrives home and finds a black wreath on the door. He rushes inside and is greeted by a very somber setting-candles and more blackness. He fearfully calls out to Monica, whom he finds in the living-dressed in mourning clothes. He inquires if it�s for AJ and what happened. Monica answers that yes it is for AJ and Sonny happened. Then adds that she�s not completely sure AJ�s really dead-yet. Alan is appalled that Monica would play such a nasty trick, but Monica tell him she sees it as a trial run, the real thing will come when Sonny catches up to AJ. Monica tells Alan that AJ�s death will be on his shoulders-since he refused to help her help AJ. Alan reiterates his belief that AJ must be left to deal with the consequences he brought on himself. While the two bicker, Edward walks in wonders what is going on. Monica stalks off, while Alan inquires as to Edward�s jolly mood. Edward declares that if AJ manages to pull off what he is doing, he just may be his favorite grandson after all�.

WHAT LIZ DOESN�T KNOW WON�T HURT HER-
{ALLEY BEHIND JAKE�S}
Still engaged in a passionate lip-lock, Lucky and Sarah don�t see Gia approaching. SHE however does see them and quietly goes back the way she came. As soon as their lips unlock, Lucky quickly starts to offer apologies, but Sarah tells him there is no need. She admits that she has felt an attraction to him since the night they saw each other in the barn. Lucky tells her that he intends to let Liz in on the fact that they kissed-because she has asked him to be completely honest with her. Sarah protests stating that Liz would not be able to handle the info, because her whole life she has felt as though she where competing against her sister. It they were to tell Liz they have feelings for each other-well Liz would never forgive EITHER of them. Sarah asks Lucky if he still WANTS to love Liz. When Lucky answers in the affirmative, Sarah fills him in on the fact that while she was in Medical School in Prague, she met someone. They fell deeply in love and were married for a few short but happy months. She describes the devastating explosion that killed her husband and tells him that she has NOT told anyone else. Not her parents, Audrey or even Liz. Witnessing her pain, Lucky comforts her with a hug�

EVERYBODY LIES-
{ON THE DOCKS}
Liz tries to walk away from Nik, but he pleads with her to give him a chance to apologize. Nik gives her a touching speech on how much he misses everyone he has hurt, and how Stavros haunts his dreams with congratulations on becoming just like him. He begs Liz to intercede with Lucky on his behalf. Liz takes offense when it seems like he is only apologizing to her to her help with Lucky. She tells him that Lucky trusted him more than anyone else in the world and Nik betrayed that trust. She tells him that part of the problem is the fact that Nik won�t admit to what he has done. She wonders how either she or Lucky could ever completely trust him again. Gia-who ahs overheard the last part of Liz�s words-quickly jumps in and defends her finance. She tells Liz that no one is perfect, that everyone lies-even Lucky. Nik asks Gia to stay quiet, but Gia tells Liz that she just saw Lucky and Sarah-at Jake�s-kissing. Liz calls Gia a liar, announces that she wants nothing to do with either of them and warns them to stay away from both her and Lucky�

HERE�S THE DEAL-
{ST. SOFIA}
On the terrace, AJ gives Sonny the details of the deal he is offering. He will have the marriage to Courtney annulled, if Sonny (& Carly) will give him FULL custody of Michael. AJ, sure that he finally has Sonny over a barrel, pushes his luck and gloats a little. He taunts Sonny by rubbing in the fact that he slept with Courtney. High on the power of having the upper hand, AJ further taunts by saying he will allow Carly to visit Michael but Sonny will be cut out of Michael�s life completely. He tells Sonny that the deal will only be complete if Sonny himself brings Michael to him and hands the child over. AJ even agrees to the �prove� Sonny right by admitting to Courtney that he was just using her. Sonny remains quiet, but glares coldly at AJ. Inside, Courtney continues to defend her actions and her husband to those present (Jax, Skye, Ned & Alexis). Alexis tries to assure her that they are all just concerned for her well being. Sonny and AJ return and AJ announces that Sonny has an announcement. Sonny asks to speak with Courtney alone first. Sure in the knowledge that he�s won, AJ agrees and the siblings step out on to the terrace. Jax approaches a smirking AJ and tells him he overheard the offer he made to Sonny and thinks he is a slime ball! Skye overhears and Jax fills her in the offer-AJ wants to exchange Courtney for Michael. Shaking her head in disgust, Skye inquires of AJ if it�s true. On the other side of the room, Alexis asks Ned if they are still on speaking terms. Ned confirms that they are, but informs her that he will never trust her again.
Out on the terrace, Courtney twirls to show her dress. Sonny has only one question for his sister, �Do you really love AJ?�. Courtney gushes on about how she loves AJ and how much AJ respects her. She tells her brother that she is happy, and wants him to be happy for her too. Once they are back inside, Sonny announces that the time has come for him to make some concessions. He tells everyone that all he ever wanted was for Courtney was for her to be happy. Sonny says that everyone present knows he doesn�t like AJ, but Courtney loves him. And since AJ has managed to convince him that he also cares for Courtney and will dedicate the rest of his days to making her happy he wants to throw a wedding reception in their honor. Sonny has a wide grin on his face as he hugs his sister and offers AJ congratulations on his marriage. Sonny retreats to the balcony and makes arrangements for the party. Alexis follows and after learning of the deal AJ pitched, agrees that Sonny did the best thing he could under the circumstances-since giving AJ custody was NEVER an option. Sonny expresses the hope that the cost to Courtney will not be TOO high. Later, with the party in full swing, Sonny offers a toast or a threat-depending how you look at it. �To Courtney and AJ, blah, blah, blah, �til DEATH do you part�. He puts on some music and asks his sister to share the traditional first dance with him. The party moves to the terrace, but before going outside Jax congratulates AJ on getting himself out of the frying pan-and landing directly in the fire. Skye urges to AJ to call it quits and give Courtney a divorce, but AJ stubbornly refuses to admit defeat. Alone in the living room he looks around for something and sees a champagne glass on the table he picks it up and contemplates it contents. He takes a small sip, then drains the glass�

Meanwhile back in PC,
Alan places a call-to Rae Cummings�
Liz arrives outside Jake�s and sees Lucky and Sarah embracing�
