General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Apr-2002

At Luke’s club…

In his office, Luke is all nervous about Helena. Roy stops him from calling the jail to check on her. Luke thinks something is off. Roy gets him to calm down and enjoy the party. And what a wild party it is with Amy pulled out of the closet, along with Tony! Lucky isn’t enjoying the party much and Sarah sits down and tries to console him. When she mentions that she knew Gia didn’t take a blood alcohol test, Lucky turns his ire on her. How could she let that happen?! Elizabeth breaks up the bickering and tells Lucky to lay off her sister.

Luke is suddenly in full party mood then. Until Scott shows up, with Bobbie. Luke asks his sister what she is doing there with him, convinced she is either trying to get Roy jealous or that she has been holding on to her crush on Scott for 20+ years. Luke warns her to stay away from Scott, but she doesn’t want to hear it. She’s a big girl.

Sarah decides to leave the party, but Elizabeth stops her at the door. Sarah says she needs some time to rest before going to work. She also suggests the sisters getting an apartment together is not such a great idea. She really thinks they would get along better not living together. Taggert interrupts and apologizes to Elizabeth on behalf of his sister. He also tells her he’ll do anything he can to help her, ever. In return, he asks if she will help Gia realize what Nikolas has turned into. Elizabeth says she would be willing to try if it would help, but Gia wouldn’t listen to anything she had to say on that subject anyway.

Scott asks why Laura isn’t at the party (honestly, a good question!) but Bobbie takes it the wrong way and leaves annoyed. Lucky & Luke discuss what they can do to get Nikolas back. Luke thinks it is a bad idea. Lucky toys with the idea of pretending to make up with Nikolas and move back into Wyndermere in order to spy on him. Luke really suggests he just drop it. At that, the uninvited Mr. Cassidine and Gia show up at the party.


Sitting on the docks…

Zander wonders if Carly is okay. She is annoyed with herself and dares Zander to say, “I told you so.” She tells him that Luke got to her and that Luke was right in telling her that she will always find a way to destroy her life. They lament the way they act in some situations, but Carly insists for the countless time that Sonny doesn’t matter to her anymore, that she isn’t going to do anything to help him anymore. Zander tells her that Sonny & Alexis have flown to the Caribbean after AJ. Carly is interested! She is worried that Sonny is making this whole thing with AJ personal, something he always warned her about. Carly says a part of her is interested in going after Sonny, but she won’t. Maybe this is what it likes to think something through, she wonders. She is staying put.


In the air, en route to St. Sophia…

First up are Sonny & Alexis. They find out they are going to be the last plane allowed to land that night. Alexis suggests that Sonny kill AJ once he finds him. She then goes through the defense she would offer. Once he catches on, she tells him she does NOT think he will kill AJ or she would not have come along. She thinks he has self-control and willpower. Sonny tells a story about how he took care of his mom when he was younger and how that led to Deke’s death. He says he has to take care of his family now, too. Alexis points out that AJ is not Deke.

Minutes behind them are Jax & Skye, who is nervous about what is going to happen to AJ. Then they find out the weather is going to prevent them from landing. I don’t think so. Jax pulls strings, drops his name and then tells the tower he is low on fuel, so they let him land amid the bad weather.


On St. Sophia…

On land, Skye & Jax come across two Sonny goons, who tell them to head back to their airplane. Jax tries bribing the two men with $100,000, but neither are interested. No worries, Kung Fu Skye and Jax manage to beat up the very large goons with no problem.

Meanwhile, Sonny has found the hotel room. Alexis urges him to be cautious. He stands outside the bedroom and when he goes in--AJ & Courtney are in bed together! Sonny is MAD! Alexis asks Courtney if she is okay, Courtney says, “uh, no, my psycho brother just burst into my room!” (or words to that effect). AJ jumps out of bed and takes Sonny out on the balcony. Sonny grabs AJ by the neck. He threatens throwing him off the railing, making it look like an accident. “Stop!” Courtney screams. “He’s my husband.” The two lovebirds have just been married!
