General Hospital Update for Thursday, 11-Apr-2002

SPENCER HOME-
Luke and Laura find themselves wishing things had turned out differently. Luke advises Laura to let her sons work things out on their own. Laura tells Luke she knew Gia was trouble from the get-go, but couldn't do anything about it cause Nik already cared for her. Luke announces his plan to celebrate the end of Helena�s reign with a party at his club. Laura invites him to stop by the party at the hospital in honor of Audrey�s 10,000th day of service. Bobbie shows up and wants reassurance that it's really over. Later, Bobbie is there for Laura as she worries about her sons. Laura assures Bobbie that she supports her renewed interest in Scott after Bobbie admits that he invited her on a �real� date�

ALEXIS� PH-
Both Sonny and Ned pressure Alexis-for different reasons. Sonny wants to know if Alexis� knows where AJ and Courtney are. Ned wants her to lie to Sonny and say she is doing some legal work for him in LA. After asking Sonny for an assurance that AJ will not be harmed, Alexis admits that she does know where the couple is. Then, despite Ned's protests, stating that as Courtney� brother Sonny has right to know, she tells him that AJ and Courtney are in a private villa on the island of St. Sofia. Sonny thanks her and goes to his PH. Ned and Alexis carry their dispute into the hallway. Ned bashes Alexis for betraying his trust as Zander and Kristina exit the elevator. They hear Ned tell Alexis that he will never trust her again and coldly tell her to go after Sonny; since it is obvious she really wants too. He also adds that AJ's death will be on her conscience. Kris gets in Ned's face over his treatment of her sister. They move the conversation back into the PH, where Ned continues to bash Alexis, while Zander and Kristina try to convince him that Alexis must have felt she didn�t have a choice. Ned than calls AJ (cell phone???) and leaves a message telling his cousin that he needs to take flight, cause Sonny knows where they are. Once Ned leaves, Zander and Kris try to put the pieces together. Zander says that he thinks Ned is just jealous because he still loves Alexis and she choose Sonny over him. Kris accuses him of sour grapes-because of Carly. Kris wonders-if Ned loves Alexis why didn�t he marry her. Zander reminds her that ALEXIS left Ned at the alter, then asks how deeply she is involved with Ned herself�

WYNDEMERE-
Lucky, still holding Nik in a choke hold, asks if his brother is getting the idea of how it feels to be blindsided by someone you thought you could trust. Nik tries to convince Lucky that hurting each other won�t fix anything. Lucky does let go, but says it�s because he doesn�t want to hurt Laura. They exchange bitter accusations. Each accuses the other of being like his father. Nikolas insists that he still loves Lucky, but Lucky doesn�t believe Nik is sincere in his apology since Nik didn�t actually admit to any wrongdoing. Nik wonders if they are doomed to repeat their family�s legacy of hatred. Lucky claims that he no longer considers Nik to be his brother and announces that he is going to Luke�s party and drink to Helena�s demise. Before he walks away, he mentions that he�ll have a drink in honor of his brother�s demise too!�

LUKE�S CLUB-
Carly arrives to meet Bobbie, but only finds Roy. Carly is glad that Luke isn�t there, but Roy assures her that as part owner, he will welcome her business. They commiserate over the sad state of their personal lives. Roy compares Carly & Sonny�s relationship to musical chairs. Carly suggests they have a private party-together. Roy tells her it�s a bad idea. She can wreck her life if she wants too, but he doesn�t any trouble at the moment. Luke arrives in time to overhear the tail end of Roy�s comment and tells his niece to stop harassing the employees. In the ensuing conversation Luke advises Carly to stop blaming others for her choices. He also tells her that he doesn�t hate her, but adds that he only accepts her because Bobbie cares for her. Later, Luke tries to chase Carly away with rudeness, but Carly won�t go. She tells him that she does take responsibility for her actions. Luke tells her it�s not just about apologizing, but she must also learn from her mistakes and change. Carly leaves a message for Bobbie and finally leaves the club�

SPENCER HOUSE-
Lucky returns to his mother�s house in a much better mood, which has Laura hopeful that her son�s have worked out their differences. Lucky tells that he will not fight with Nik, but her hopes of a big happy family are dashed when Lucky informs her that he can�t forgive his brother; he in fact no longer considers Nik to be his brother. Laura is hurt and warns Lucky that she doesn�t feel she should have to choose between them. Lucky assures that HE does not expect her to do so...

AIRPORT TARMAC-
Alexis joins Sonny on his plane and sits in silence for a while. Shortly after take-off she wonders if Sonny is going to make the trip in silence. Sonny (predictably) says he can no longer trust her, but Alexis points out that she believes she just proved differently. They spend most of the rest of the flight staring silently at each other�
ELSEWHERE ON THE TARMAC-
A frustrated Skye whines and complains when the plane she and Jax are using to search for A.J. encounters mechanical trouble. Jax deplanes to try and fix the problem himself. Meanwhile Skye shuts off Jax�s cell phone when he gets a call from Ned. Once the problem is fixed, Skye confides in Jax that she really appreciates his help and support. She tells him that she and AJ share a special connection and she believes she can use it to convince AJ to give up the vendetta completely. Jax proposes that once the situation is resolved they can go away, just the two of them, to a location of her choosing. As they are waiting to be cleared for take-off, the tower informs Jax that he has a call on the emergency channel. Ned's voice is heard on their radio, warning them that Sonny knows where AJ is and has probably already left. Jax gets a chance to say, �I told you so� when Ned tells him he was right about Alexis telling Sonny. Ned tells Jax that he tried to call earlier and wonders why Jax turned his phone off. Skye admits she turned if off when because she thought Ned would try to talk Jax out of helping her find AJ. She blames herself for giving Sonny the chance to get a jump-start on them...

LAST SCENES OF THE DAY-
Gia joins Nik in his study and he tells her to get dressed up, they are going to a party�
At his club, Luke pours a few drinks as he and Roy toast to a �Helena free future��
Down on the docks, Zander finds Carly sitting on bench, crying�
Somewhere in the Caribbean airspace, Sonny paces the plane restlessly as the pilot announces they are about to arrive at their destination�
Elsewhere in the skies, Jax announces that they are about an hour out and tries to reassure a still worried Skye that they will be in time�

NEWS}
Bob Guza is indeed back as co-headwriter along with Charles Pratt Jr.
Steve Burton�s first AIRDATE is scheduled to be May 24th.
The 10,000th episode will be directed by Emmy Award-winning GH director Joe Behar, who directed the pilot episode 39 years ago. Look for those great montages and flashbacks!

Looks like there's a campaign a brewing for Kim McCullough to return as Robin Scorpio! Kim is more than willing to reprise the role of Robin Scorpio in the near future.
