General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 9-Apr-2002

1-SPENCER HOUSE-
Felicia shows up on Laura’s doorstep and fills her in on the fact that Helena has been caught. Felicia gives her the on how they found her at the railroad station and how Roy talked Luke out of snapping Helena’s neck. After learning that Luke insisted on “going” with the police escort, Laura heads to the PCPD, but does not appear to be thrilled with Helena’s capture.

2-ALEXIS’ PH-
Kristina arrives and tells Alexis that she is doing to break her “no meddling” vow because of Nik. She fills Alexis in on what she overheard at the club during the scene with Liz. Alexis, of course, is NOT surprised since she had her suspicions all along. Before Kris and can get anymore info from her, the phone rings and they find out Helena has been caught. They rush off to the station…

3-GH-
Scott visits a harried Bobbie at the hospital. His news that Helena has been caught throws Bobbie for a loop. Amy rags on Scott for upsetting Bobbie. Scott asks Amy to cover for Bobbie. Bobbie brushes off Scott's concern and acts happy but later admits that she has been having nightmares. In her recurring nightmare, she fails to save Luke from Helena’s poisoning because she can’t administer the antidote. The stress of the past year combined with the news that it’s finally over has overwhelmed her. Scott offers to help her replace the bad dreams with good memories…

4-PCPD-
After arriving at the station Liz tells Lucky to be sure he really wants to implicate Nik. She warns him that he won’t be able to take it back once it’s done. She assures him he doesn’t need to do it to prove anything to her. Luke arrives with Helena and the police escort. Lucky tells him what he learned about Nik and Gia. Luke tells Lucky that HE will have to decide whether or not to turn Nik in-either way Luke promises to support Lucky’s decision. Nik and Gia arrive just in time to goad Lucky into telling Mac and Taggart how Nik was blackmailed into helping Helena. Lucky explains that Gia was responsible for the accident, that she was drinking that night, that Nik not only used his influence at the hospital to avoid the BA test, but he also paid off the witness. Lucky then goes on to say that both Nik and Gia fed Liz fake details to get her to remember the accident the way they wanted her to. Laura arrives just in time to hear Lucky encourage Helena to confirm his story. Helena happily rubs in Laura’s face how her sons are at each other’s throats. Alexis and Kristina arrive just and hear Helena spouting off, but in the end she denies that Nik helped her. Lucky flies at Helena in a rage, but Luke calms him and gets him to take Liz and leave. Alexis wonders why they are all standing around listening to Helena’s venom. Kristina says her piece to Helena. Luke wants to accompany Helena to until she is on her way to the federal prison. Taggart balks, but Mac agrees to let him observe hoping that once Luke is satisfied he will be off of his and the department’s backs. When Nik and Gia try to leave Mac tells them he wants to speak with them. Despite Alexis’ advice to keep quiet, Nik tries to discredit Lucky’s accusation by going on about how Lucky is ‘ not right in the head’ because of Helena’s brainwashing. He even tells Mac that Lucky threaten to “get him”. Once outside the interrogation room Nik appeals to Laura to reason with Lucky. She tells him she loves him and wants to help but can’t because he looked her in the face and lied to her. Luke asks Taggart for a moment alone with Helena. Taggart grudgingly agrees and Luke again wonders what Helena is up to and why she lied about Nik’s help. Helena warns Luke that is isn’t over; he’ll see her again. A foursome of Luke, Roy, Taggart and a female officer escort Helena down the hall.

5-ON THE DOCKS-
Lucky gazes unhappily at Wyndemere. Liz tries to get Lucky to see that it’s not worth the energy to obsess, she believes that Nik and Gia will get what’s coming to them as things have a way of working out. She cautions Lucky not to fall into the “dark” trap. Lucky does not want to leave things unresolved. Liz tells Lucky she will be waiting at Kelly’s while he thinks about it.

6-WYNDEMERE-
Nik wants Alexis to do something legal to stop/control Lucky. Sensing Alexis’s hesitancy makes Nik aska if she believes him. Alexis tells him that she had already been suspicious. She tries to assure Nik that she is on his side, even tells Nik that she asked Sonny to stop pursing the accident. Nik tells Alexis that Sonny not only didn’t drop it, but also scared Gia when he looked her in the face and promised to help if only she would come clean. Nik wonders why Sonny has loyalty from her and others, and why no one runs after Sonny warning him that he is going to the dark side. He rudely dismissed Alexis without giving her a chance to counter anything. As Alexis exits, Gia enters but doesn’t even get at chance to say anything because Nik banishes her upstairs to wait, while he “takes care of some things”.

7-SPENCER HOUSE-
Luke reports to Laura that for all intents and purposes Helena is on her way to Pentonville. He tells Laura that he wants to get on with the details of planning their future. Laura realizes that it’s a ploy to keep her mind of other things, but buys into it anyway. They kiss passionately and Laura announces, “To heck with my rules; lets make love”.

8-PENTONVILLE INFIRMARY-
After going over her medical records from GH, the doctor puzzles over Helena’s “recovery”. Despite Helena’s assurance that the records are mistaken the doctor tells Helena he intends for her to have a complete physical ASAP.
[I want to point out that during this scene we-the fans-DON’T get to see Helena’s face as her back is to the camera. What is noticed-by me-is that she is wearing bright red nail polish-Not really her style-????]

LAST SCENES-
Lucky wanders the docks and rages at loosing his brother while he smashes some empty crates…
Nik broods as he wanders around his office contemplating the losses his choices have cost him…
Helena (in prison clothes) sits in her cell and ponders (-her next move possibly???)
Luke falls off the sofa during a bit of friskiness and the duo laughingly races upstairs to the bedroom…
Outside on the porch, an immaculately dressed Helena-YES HELENA-touches their shadows through the window and say gloats, “Got you”…

Hey-If she can bring someone back from the dead after twenty years, with no apparent side effects from being frozen or a neck breaking-life ending injury, she CAN pull this off too!
{I wonder if this answers Luke’s question on WHY she let “herself” be caught.}
