General Hospital Update for Monday, 8-Apr-2002

CLUB 101-
Carly basically laughs in Skye’s face after she issues a veiled threat to lock Carly in her own freezer. Carly warns Skye not to even think of messing with her. She points out all the stupid mistakes that Skye has made, both the night of the incident and in her perusal of Jax. She says they are more alike that they care to admit and states that they can help each other get what they want. Skye appears to be listening and Carly re-extends Sonny offer of immunity for AJ if Skye helps get Courtney back unharmed. Skye tells Carly no deal because she doesn’t trust Sonny to keep his word. She also gets in a few jabs about how close Sonny and Alexis appear to be getting-thanks to Carly’s little stunt. Carly informs Skye that Sonny is a man of his word-just like Jax. Skye still refuses and Carly warns her that it’s a mistake AJ could end up paying for. Before leaving, Skye assures Carly that she will strike back for the “prank” Carly pulled on her and when she does, Carly won’t see it coming.

RAILROAD STATION-
Luke informs Helena that the jig is up. They exchange their usual banter. She thinks Luke should let her get away otherwise HIS life will be dull. Luke insists it’s the end of the line for the Dragon Lady. But first he wants to know WHY Helena let herself be caught, when she could already be on the other side of the world. On the other side of the station, Roy and Felicia realize that as jumpy and on edge as they are, Luke is more so. When he fails to answer his phone, they rush to find him, fearful or what he might do if he finds Helena. When they finally arrive it is to find that Helena is caught and still alive, but Luke’s hand are around her throat. Luke suggests that they let him do her in and then tell the police that she was already dead when they found her. Roy talks Luke out of the idea by insisting that it’s what Helena wants. She will have won if Luke ends up in jail for murder-that’s why she let herself be “caught”. Luke insists on following the PCPD escorting Helena back to the station.

ALEXIS’ PENTHOUSE-
Alexis is both flattered and flustered, when over cappuccinos, Sonny tells her she is the only person he can really trust. They both tiptoe around admitting their feelings but do agree that they are happy with their “unique relationship”. Jax arrives and wants to call in the favor he thinks Sonny owes him for getting Skye to drop the charges. Sonny doesn't believe there was a "favor"-Skye didn’t have any proof. Jax wants Sonny to promise not to lay a finger on AJ if he finds Courtney first. Sonny warns Jax to stay out of it, especially if Jax can’t assure him that Courtney will not be physically or emotionally damaged. After leaving Alexis’ PH, Jax places a call and starts his own search for the missing two-some.

Lucky rails at Nik, accuses him of being a credit to his Cassadine name. Nik insists he was only doing what was necessary to protect his loved ones. Lucky thinks Nik was only protecting Gia. Lucky insists that Nik answer the question of whether or not he helped Helena escape the island. When Nik denies helping her, Lucky calls him a liar. Gia tries to defend Nik but Lucky blows her off by saying she no longer carries any weight with him. Lucky announces that he; Liz and Sarah are moving off the island. After they leave, Gia paces and worries about what they are going to do. Nik doesn’t believe they will go to the police, but insists that even if they do, they don’t have ANY proof. He assures Gia that it is over. There is no proof of Gia’s culpability in the accident or of his tampering with the witnesses AND Helena is gone…IT’S OVER. Then the phone rings; it’s Taggart; Helena has been caught and is being brought back to the police station. After hanging up Gia asks, “Does this mean we’re caught too?”.
