General Hospital Update for Thursday, 4-Apr-2002

Sorry this took to so long to post.
Sick kids-Nuff said.
On to the 4-1-1...

Q MANSION-
A desperate Mike grabs Edward, in his living room, and threatens him with bodily harm if the head Q doesn’t tell him where AJ and Courtney are. Edward feeblely attempts to mollify Mike but only makes matters worse when he says that considering who raised her (referring to Janine) Courtney was better off with AJ. Mike grabs Edward by the lapels and begins to shake him. Luckily (for Edward) Ned shows up and puts a stop to it. Ned assures Mike that HE is trying to help Courtney (because he has a daughter of his own). After Mike leaves, Edward accuses Ned of siding with the enemy. He also tells Ned that wherever AJ is, he hopes that he is enjoying himself. Ned says that despite the fact that Edward has made them see each other as rivals, he doesn’t want AJ dead. Ned then wonders what Edward will do if Sonny kills AJ…

AT GH:
In his office, Alan gives Bobbie a memo to distribute to the nurses-From here on out, any nurse NOT dressed according to regulations will be sent home for the day-W/O pay. When Bobbie protests that it will cost him A LOT of good nurses, Alan tells her it’s NOT open for discussion and adds that she should address him as DOCTOR Quartermaine at the hospital. A puzzled Bobbie asks what is wrong, which prompts Monica (who overheard the conversation) in to saying that since Alan can’t control his family, he is compensating by ruling with an iron fist where he CAN-at the hospital. After Bobbie leaves, an indignant Alan accuses Monica of undermining his authority with the staff. Monica tells Alan that she knows where AJ is and has bought TWO tickets to the Caribbean. She wants him to go with her and convince AJ to return Courtney, before Sonny finds out where they are. Alan refuses point blank. He says that AJ must hit rock bottom and deal with the consequences himself. Monica tells Alan that if AJ dies, their marriage will be buried along with him. Later, Bobbie returns and asks if Alan still wants the memo to go out. Alan apologizes for his earlier abruptness and suggests they get together to find a better way to word the memo. Bobbie knows, from previous experience, that Alan is looking for a shoulder to cry/lean on. She informs him that she can’t be that shoulder this time since her plate is already full. With a homicidal maniac on the loose and after her family and a daughter who routinely blows-up her own life, she has enough to deal with a the moment…

CLUB 101-
Kristina enlists Nik in her quest to sign a new performer to a contract at L&B. Nik oozes charm and a princely aura to convince the lovely singer to give serious thought to his aunt’s offer.
Meanwhile, in the ladies room…
An obviously nervous Gia tries to convince Liz that she's confused about the details of the accident. When Liz threatens to go to Taggart with her memories and let him sort it out, Gia quickly blocks the door. After another slip by Gia, Liz realizes that Nik paid the witness to finger Courtney as the culprit. Gia finally admits that she ran the light. She goes on tell Liz that when Taggart assumed Courtney ran the light she agreed-because she was still confused-by the time she remembered, everything had snowballed and it was too late. Then makes the mistake of saying it was no big deal, since Courtney only got a ticket. That gets Liz upset and she rails at Gia for lying to the police and for corrupting an honest guy like Nik and for helping Nik keep her in the dark. They return to the dance floor where, while Gia gives Kristina sketchy details, Liz vents her anger on Nik. Nik tries to explain, but Liz can’t get over the fact that Nik, the one person she trusted to always tell her the truth, not only conspired to frame an innocent person, but used her in the process. After Liz storms out; Gia approaches Nik they wonder what Liz will do next…

PCPD-
A tearful Skye tells Dara about her ordeal. When Dara asks if Skye knows who is responsible, Skye tells her that she's sure PC’s most notorious mobster-Sonny-was responsible. Alexis jumps in and asks how Skye knows, did she see or hear Sonny that night? Aware that Jax is watching and has threatened to expose her if she lies, Skye is forced to admit that not only did she NOT see or hear Sonny or any of his men-she didn’t see or hear ANYONE at all. Dara informs Alexis that her client is free to go, as there are NO grounds for holding him. Upset, Skye runs into the squad room (and straight towards Sonny) screaming that they can’t let Sonny go because his is going to kill AJ. Sadly Taggart informs her that the have no grounds for holding him, as Skye watches Alexis and Sonny leave the room. Skye gets hysterical and gives a tearful heartfelt plea for someone to do something. She turns on Jax and tries to place the responsibility of AJ's well being on him. Jax tries to comfort her and offers to take her anywhere in the world she would like to go. Skye refuses-she has to make funeral arrangements for AJ-then walks away from him…
Carly races after Sonny, but when she catches up to him outside the station, he brushes her off saying that he has important matters to take care of. Zander warns Carly to leave Sonny alone and tells her that if she ignores his advice again it will be the last advice she gets from him. Carly’s reaction to that statement is…(do you really need me to tell you…)

AT SONNY’s PH-
Sonny informs Alexis that the delay has given AJ time to give him the slip and they are back where they started-searching. A knock on the door interrupts their conversation. It’s Carly, who refuses to go away until Sonny hears her out. After he reluctantly lets her in, she rudely dismisses Alexis, but Sonny orders her to thank Alexis for covering for her. Carly points out that Alexis didn’t do it to help her, but because SONNY asked her too. Never-the-less says Sonny, as he points out that if Carly had been arrested the Q’s would have had an opening to get Michael back; if you can’t do if for yourself, do it for Michael. Carly glares at Alexis…
