General Hospital Update for Monday, 1-Apr-2002

April 1st, 2002

Carly is nervous about her driving test. Zander arranges chairs in the living room to do a run through so she will know what to expect during the test. He warns her these guys will be watching every move she makes so she needs to be prepared for it. She laughts that she was married to Sonny Corinthos (implying that after that no one else is going to intimidate her!). Zander acts out the role of driving evaluator using a heavy NY accent. Carly worries to Zander about the consequences of her locking Skye up in the boathouse. Can he teach her not to fly off and lose her temper and do crazy things? He assures her that she will be fine that she is just nervous about the test. Carly and Zander hear the news on the radio about Sonny's arrest and head to the PD.

Alexis insists that she is going with Sonny (to the location he has tracked AJ and Courtney to). He says no, he doesn't want her involved. She insists that he needs someone rational that won't take orders from him. If he ignores her advice then she won't represent him if he is arrested. She reminds him of what happened at Carly's club when AJ kissed Courtney and if he loses it she won't clean up after him. He finally agrees for her to accompany him and as they are heading out the door, Taggert shows up to arrest Sonny for having Skye locked up in the boathouse. Sonny insists that he had nothing to do with it.

Down at the PCPD, Jax asks Skye if she is ready as Alexis will put up a fight to defend Sonny. Alexis tells Sonny that Jax wouldn't bring charges some kind of proof. Sonny assures her that it wasn't him. Alexis says she knows who did it and tells Sonny about seeing Carly at the Q's that night. Skye is telling her story to the police, Alexis interrogates her about the medical record of her trauma (there was none since Jax didn't take her to the hospital but back to his place). Skye talks about the note which she admits wasn't signed by Sonny. Alexis is ripping apart the non-existent case against Sonny. Skye asks her how she can be so sure Sonny didn't do it. Carly walks in and says because she is the one who did do it!

Nik and Gia worry about Helena returning. Nik assures Gia that Helena is gone. Lucky comes in desparate to find Liz, he is worried that Helena has taken her since she isn't at Wyndemere. Nia say no she probably just went down to Kelly's for a bite to eat. Gia tells him to not blame himself for Liz's disappearence. Laura enters and asks why he would blame himself? Gia makes excuses that Nik feels responsible for everything. Laura doesn't seem convinced. After Gia leaves, Laura asks him if he has called the police. He says they need to first make sure that Liz is actually missing. He gets upset when he thinks Laura is intimating that he helped Helena, that she believes Luke's accusations. Nik is hurt that Laura would think he is capable of that. She says she knows how Helena can manipulate people and the choices that they make. He says again that she has no power over him. The phone rings with the news that Liz is safe. laura asks him again to look her in the eye and tell him that Helena isn't blackmailing him into helping her. He does so and Laura believes him, hugs him, and apologizes and tells him she had to ask.

Liz is at Bobbie's talking about the problems between her and Lucky. Bobbie asks her if she is giving up on him. Bobbie asks her if she is giving up Lucky? Liz says that Lucky is trying too hard to make things work between them and she found out that he was only trying to protect her from Helena (that he wasn't with her because he loved her). Liz is surprised to hear Bobbie say that maybe Liz should just let go if its too much trouble, "love shouldn't be like breaking rocks." Bobbie's final works are to comment that Liz isn't doing anything to work on the relationship and she should at least meet Lucky half way.

Lucky and Sarah arrive at Liz's studio and find wet paint a note to some delivery person that she will be right back. They are relieved that she is safe but Lucky worries about Liz running around town with Helena on the loose. Sarah gets paint on her hand, falls off a stool while reaching for towel. Lucky catches her and gets blue paint on his shirt. This of course means he has to remove it and as she tries to rinse it out, he leans in around her, she leans back and looks him in the eyes. She nervously pulls away from him saying it would break Liz's heart - who of course walks in at that moment.

Roy runs into Felicia on the docks. She is stranded with car trouble and laments what a bad day it is to be stranded between car pool duty and needing to meet with a loan shark. He tells her that he will help her anytime as he owes her for her help in Texas (when Jennifer Smith had kidnapped Luke). They both laugh about how much fun that was. They talk about Melissa. He says the woman he knew 10 years ago wouldn't have been capable of murder. He feels responsible for the person she became after he hurt her. Roy has repaired Felicia's car.
