General Hospital Update for Friday, 29-Mar-2002

BLAME, BLAME GO AWAY…
Over at the Q mansion, Ned arrives and asks if anyone has heard from AJ. Edward expresses the thought that they should let AJ be and maybe AJ will manage to get Little Michael back-somehow. Alan thinks Edward just wants Michael back and is willing to sacrifice AJ, but he himself is angry (and hurt) that AJ lied to him and thinks they should let AJ deal with the consequences. Monica is worried that the consequences could be harmful to her son’s health. As they bicker amongst themselves. Ned calls a funeral parlor and tells them the Q’s are about to have a death in the family. By the time he gets to discussing the casket, he has the family’s full attention. However, Edward and Alan both refuses to help in the search for AJ (each for their own reasons). Monica and Ned confer and decide to join forces to help find AJ and return Courtney. Suddenly, one of the sofas starts to ring. Under a cushion they find Skye’s purse, and inside is her ringing cell phone. Monica decides to answer it…

WHILE YOU WEREN’T SLEEPING…
Alexis attempts to cook breakfast for a sleeping Sonny. After smelling smoke, Kris arrives (Extinguisher in hand) to help. She and Lexi bond while cooking an edible breakfast despite the fact that Kris questions WHEN Lexis is going to tell Sonny how she feels about him. Alexis explains (yet again) that because of some of the similar incidents she and Sonny have lived through, she can relate to him and just wants to help him have a closer relationship to Courtney. Kris explains that she cares about Lexi and is concerned that one day, Alexis will realize that she spent all her time helping Sonny and neglected her own needs. As the discussion comes to an end, the sisters (mainly Kris) prepare an edible breakfast for Sonny. Alexis carries the tray up to Sonny’s room, while Kris begins to “clean” up the kitchen. Alexis returns downstairs immediately (tray still in hand) and reports that Sonny IS NOT in his room. Where could he be?, she wonders!…

THE MORNING AFTER…
Sonny is on the phone again while he paces back and forth in Carly’s living room. Carly arrives downstairs, (in a silky red nightgown) and Sonny thanks her for the use of the sofa. Carly tells him she is glad he finally slept and adds that he is welcome to the sofa “anytime” he needs it. Michael bounds down the stairs, and excited that “Uncle Sonny” is still there quickly offer to make him a bowl of cereal for breakfast. Afterward, Sonny is amazed when Carly tells him that she thinks they should give up on Skye helping to get Courtney back. Sonny reiterates that it is the best shot they have at the moment, but gets a bit suspicious and asks why she suddenly WANTS to give up. Unable to bring herself to tell Sonny what she has done, Carly claims that she just wouldn’t trust ANYTHING Skye tells them. Michael returns and coaxes Sonny outside to look at his tomato plants. Zander arrives and gets Carly back under suspicion when he comments thank heaven she didn’t do anything crazy last night after all. A comment that Sonny overhears and demands an explanation for. Carly’s skills at lying come in handy as she tells Sonny that it was just hot air and Zander deflated her. Sonny leaves, but does NOT look totally convinced by Carly’s tale…

AJ PHONE HOME…
AJ asks why Monica is answering Skye’s phone. Monica explains that Skye left it behind and when it started to ring, she just answered. She goes on to explain that everyone knows what is going on and warns AJ that Sonny will not stop looking for his sister until he finds her. AJ waxes poetical about the sun, the beach and Courtney but appears to have a tinge of conscience when Monica points out that Courtney is about the same age as Emily. Monica pleads with AJ to send Courtney home and stay away until Sonny calms down. AJ, disappointed that Monica wants him to give up when he is on the verge of winning, hangs up…


OH WHAT A NIGHT!…
Still in bed at the lake house, Jax and Skye are indulging in some passionate kissing. Jax, ever the gentleman, pulls back and starts to tell Skye he doesn’t want to take advantage of her, but Skye shushes him, and the next we see is several scenes of them rolling around VERY HOT AND HEAVY between the sheets. Later, they cuddle while Skye hopes she isn’t dreaming. They finally get on the subject of what happened to her, and she assures Jax that she is telling the truth about Sonny this time. Skye tells him she has the note that was shoved under the door as proof. Jax promises that he will put a stop to Sonny’s threats, but Skye doesn’t want to deal with that, she just want to enjoy her time alone with him…


LIVING IN A FOOL’S PARADISE…
Once alone with Zander, Carly confesses all. Zander is amazed and hopes Carly’s stunt doesn’t come back to bit someone on the B-U-T-T. Carly assures Zander that Skye couldn’t possibly have seen WHO locked her in, so she can’t cause trouble, it basically just amounted to a harmless prank. She asks Zander NOT to tell Sonny, since it appears she and her ex-hubby have come to some sort of understanding and could be on the verge of reconciliation. For some crazy reason Zander agrees NOT to tell Sonny anything.

SAVING AJ…
Ned pumps Monica for AJ’s whereabouts, but all she can tell him is that AJ mentioned a beach. Ned realizes that they can get the phone number (and ultimately the duo’s whereabouts) by scrolling through Skye’s cell phone memory. However, Monica balks when Ned mentions that he intends to let Alexis in on the location. Though Ned assures her HE trusts Alexis, Monica does not, so she clears the cell phones memory. However, SHE did get to see it, but believing Alexis will tell Sonny, she won’t even give Ned the area code. She tells him that first she is going to make sure Sonny doesn’t take another child from her…

JAX, THE KNIGHT, TO THE RESCUE…
While Skye sleeps, Jax searches through her clothing. He finds the note (that Carly wrote). He gets his cell phone, calls Taggart and tells him he finally has something that will get Sonny put away for good…

THE PRICE OF A PHONE CALL…
Sonny returns to his PH to find Kristina and Alexis still there. (Alexis was pondering where she should call Benny and report Sonny missing or just wait until someone called her and reported that Sonny was jailed-again). After Sonny refuses breakfast Kristina excuses herself. Sonny thanks Alexis for her efforts and tender care of the night before. Sonny explains to Lexi that he spent the night at Carly’s-on the sofa; then had breakfast with Michael. Alexis comments that she didn’t think hangovers and milk made a good combination. Sonny tells her that he didn’t have a hangover; cause he didn’t drink enough to blackout (apparently that the only time he gets hangovers). Alexis urges him to get to bed and rest. In between flirting and ackward silences, Alexis tells Sonny that she ran into Carly on the Q property. She explains that Carly had a "good" theory-AJ and Courtney COULD have been on the grounds. But, she goes on to explain, they split the search and came up empty handed. This info gives Sonny a moments pause. Then, Johnny arrives with info that they traced from Skye’s cell phone. After reading the paper, Sonny tells Alexis that he knows where AJ is, right down to the hotel room number…

DO YOU EVER WONDER?...

I have to wonder HOW Sonny has managed to stay alive this long. If Alexis can get into his PH while he is supposed to be sleeping, it’s safe to assume ANYBODY can get in ANYTIME they want. Where are the highly paid and feared bodyguards? Sonny needs to replace them! Someone should ALWAYS be on guard outside his door, weather he is there or not! And while I’m on the subject of highly paid people, wouldn’t you think an intelligent woman like Alexis would be smart enough to check the bedroom, since there was NO GUARD outside the door? Or better yet, know that no guard means Sonny ISN’T home-I mean come on she’s lived across the hall for a while now, you would think she would have noticed this habit.
Is anyone else wondering if his recent visit to church has really changed Sonny? Not long ago, he was insanely jealous of any man who even talked to Carly, but today he didn’t even blink an eye when Carly (wearing nothing but a nightgown) entertained a handsome young man in her parlor. Has he changed that much? Or does he really trust Zander that much?
I don’t know about you, but I could have done without HALF of the love scenes. Did I image it or did her dip into the freezing lake change the color of Skye’s hair?
Is it just me or has Carly “forgotten” to mention that she WROTE a note to Skye while she had her trapped in the boathouse? Doesn’t she realize that it could be used as evidence?
Now why would he call Taggart whom everyone knows hates Sonny? You would think that someone with his smarts would call an officer who is impartial and can’t be accused of bias. Considering that the person who will be filing the complaint has already tried several times to implicate Sonny, you would think Jax would be eager to make sure NOTHING appears improperly done.
Gosh, maybe Ned should be working with Sonny instead of Monica! Sonny doesn’t appear to mind sharing the info. Will Alexis “help” Sonny by crossing him and giving Ned the info to find AJ?
