General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 27-Mar-2002

One could refer to General Hospital as a day of PRAYER REQUESTS. Skye is praying to get out of "the spot" Carly has put her in. She, with trepidation, decides to swim out of the room (that Carly has locked her in)through a Hole or something. She is cold, and pleading for God's and Jax's help. A sneaky Carly does return to let her out, but she finds NO Skye.In the meantime, A troubled Sonny goes to a church to pray. He discusses his inner turmoil with God and THE FATHER. The Father tells him how much his monetary support has meant to their church,etc.Sonny says cryptically " Perhaps I can buy my way into Heaven".Sonny tells the Father that he has a profound darkness inside of him that will not go away. He says that he has seen no light. He says : "Maybe You do not get what I am saying, but God knows". Sonny also asks : "Why does God take the people I love?"The Catholic priest listens to Sonny's plea for contentment.He tells Sonny that in order to cease having his negative, dark, endless,nightmares, etc. that he might want to change the way he is living his life.Then, He may see THE LIGHT .Sonny seems to be pondering this thought.
Luke goes back to Windemere to search for Helena. Yet, Nicholas is determined to give her the money and to let her go. She tells Nick that she loves him, but he tells her to get lost. Nicholas tells his disturbed grandmother that if she ever hurts those whom he loves that he will kill her. Luke knows that Nicholas has let Helena escape ,and he reprimands him for doing so.Why has Nicholas changed so much?What will the evil Helena do now?
Ed and Alexis have a brief chat about how to intercede and get Courtney home safely. Ed and she agree that it's time for them to forgive each other,etc. Meanwhile, earlier, Jax has told Ed that he really cares for this beautiful, mercurial Skye. He tells Ed to hit him to knock some sense into him. Ed obliges.
When Bobbie confronts Carly about her "Mischievous trick on Skye", Carly looks sheepish. She admits to wanting to help Sonny. Of course, Alexis and others have asked MISS C to butt out of Sonny's business. Carly says:" He's hurting so I want to help him." Bobbie asks the big one:" Is this loving him or being in love with him?" A tearful Carly says:" I'm not sure."
AS THIS SEGMENT ENDS, THE VIEWER DISCOVERS A COLD, RATHER WORN OUT LOOKING SKYE LYING IN THE GRASS SOOOOOO. WHO SHOULD COME TO HER RESCUE?You guessed it! Jax, as her white knight in armor,is there to save her once more.
