Sorry folks - it's been a heck of a week, better late than never I always say!
Return to Keystone Cops
Bobbie cannot believe that Mac and his bunch of incompetents let Helena slip through their fingers yet again. She’s worried about Luke and Sarah’s scared that since Psycho Granny’s on the loose, Liz will be in even more danger. Bobbie fills her in on all the bad stuff Helena’s pulled, and Sarah hotfoots it over to Camp Windemere.
Tell Me No More Lies
Lucky stops Nikolas from spilling the beans to Liz about Helena being on the lam. Nik says it would be better coming from him then having her hear about it elsewhere. Lucky swears to protect Liz at all costs while Nik warns him of giving Liz the impression that he’s in love with her again. Small price to pay for her safety, a grim Lucky informs the prince. Lucky tries to distract Liz with talk of an exotic getaway for the two of them, and Liz is a little leery of his sudden sense of spontaneity.
Blackmail is such an ugly word… I prefer “coerced financing”
Don’t even think about ratting me out to your brother – warns Helena. If you do, I’ll just mention that Darling Nikky aided and abetted my escape. Gia’s not sure what to say (which is a shame, since some of her best dialogue is opposite Helena) and hearing her beloved prince charming nearing the stables, she quickly stuffs granny behind some hay. Nik asks her why she didn’t respond and Gia tries to cover by saying she didn’t want to spook the horse. He tells her that Helena’s on the loose and that he’s worried that the cops first stop will be Spoon Island. He sticks his other foot in his mouth as he details his arrangements covering up her responsibility in the accident. Helena laps up every word. Later, Gia uses the excuse of grooming Sheba to hang around in the barn (what’s with this sudden horse love?) cue Helena who promises to disappear forever if Gia will give her the cheese to do it. Nik tells Lucky that Helena hasn’t been seen and Liz realizes what’s going on when Sister Sarah barges in and tells her – meanwhile Lucky narrowly misses La Helena at the stables.
Don’t Let Me Interfere
Alexis manages to interrupt Kristina and Ned during a cozy moment and apologizes. Nevertheless, she really needs Ned to intercede with A.J. before something terrible happens. Ned’s less than pleased to be asked to once again step in and fix his dysfunctional cousin’s life, much less to be asked by the woman who left him at the altar not once, but twice. Kristina asks Alexis if she’s ever discussed her (Kristina’s) slip up to Sonny. She wonders when and if Alexis will ever admit her feelings to Sonny – or even to herself. Ned likens the Sonny/Courtney/A.J. dilemma to choosing the lesser of two evils. Alexis is kind of taken aback that Nedly’s not on her side and he asks if there’s anything that can erase her feelings for the mob boss.
Oh Give Me A Break
Courtney falls deeper in like with A.J. – she has the mistaken idea that he’s the only one who gets her and let’s be honest, the guy is loaded! A.J. is surprised that Courtney agreed to leave PC with him and says that if one day she ever feels the way about him as he does about her, well – his world will be complete – ugh. Sonny is sending mean looks at the two of them, but Carly’s a happy girl when she realizes that Sonny’s actually trusting her judgement. He tells her that his inability to control his anger where A.J. is concerned is the cause of the distance between the two sibs – uh yeah. Sonny swears to Courtney that his protection of her stems from his love for her and lets his dear old dad have it for telling Court about his plan to lure her away from A.J. He brings tears to her eyes when he tells of A.J.’s involvement in the death of his and Carly’s unborn child and his decision to choose to save Carly over the baby.
Meter Maids to the Rescue
Meanwhile, Alan speaks to A.J. about his intentions toward Courtney. AJ swears his love is pure (see paragraph title above) and says he wants to marry her. Now AJ’s marital track record is second only to Ned’s – so take it for what it’s worth. Sonny, Carly and Mike are causing an uproar with A.J. and Courtney and Alan steps in as hospital administrator and calls the fuzz. Taking a break from writing jaywalking tickets, Mac and Taggert appear and throw the threesome out of the hospital. – I don’t know about you, but I feel safer already! Alan then asks Courtney how she feels about his son and when she tells him she does feel safe with A.J., Alan consents to help the two young lovers get out of town.
