General Hospital Update for Monday, 18-Mar-2002

At Janine’s place...

Janine suggests Courtney do what makes her happy and she thinks going off with AJ would do that. Janine suggests that Mike is working with Sonny to keep her on a leash and reminds her daughter how Mike has treated her in the past. Courtney doesn’t want to believe her and when Mike shows up to take her to lunch, she questions him and basically begs him to tell her the truth or she will never forgive him. He finally admits that he did indeed talk to Sonny, but that he thinks it would be good for the two of them to get away together and get to know each other. Needless to say, once she finds out that Mike is “working” for Sonny, she is mad and leaves, returning to the hospital.


At the hospital...

Luke comes upon a woman who is NOT Helena. Roy & Luke realize that Helena has escaped. Mac shows up, wondering what is going on and a search ensues.

Nikolas promises Alan that he is not going to interfere with the running of the hospital. Left alone, Nikolas tries to figure out the clue Helena had given him. As he gets mad at himself, Lucky bursts in with the news that Helena has disappeared.

Meanwhile, Sonny is in AJ’s room, threatening him, warning him that he can become uncontrollably violent. Carly walks in and tells Sonny to leave, that he shouldn’t be there (never mind that SHE shouldn’t be there either!!) Alan walks in and is dismayed to find both of them there. At that point, AJ takes a sip of water and spits it out, claiming someone replaced his water with vodka. When Courtney shows up and hears what happened, she tells Sonny off, tells Carly to shut up (!!) and tells them to leave. Sonny tries to convince Alan that AJ is a user and that he is only worried about Courtney just like Alan would be worried about Emily. Nice try, Sonny. Carly and Sonny share a moment in the hallway. Back in AJ’s room, Courtney tells him they are going to have a great time getting away together for a few days.

Mac questions if Nikolas had anything to do with Helena’s disappearance. Nikolas gets angry at the insinuation.


At the Deception offices...

Laura receives a visit from Gia. Laura asks if Gia is really planning on coming back as the Face of Deception. Gia wonders if that is okay; of course, it is. They bond, dissing the other models and talking about Laura’s wedding plans. Luke runs into the Deception offices frantically. He makes sure Laura and Lulu are okay. Laura is crazy with worry, “What happened?” she wants to know. Nikolas calls, looking for Gia. Laura still does not know what is going on. Finally, Luke tells her that Helena got away and he suggests they run down to City Hall and elope. Laura doesn’t want to get married out of fear, so they decide to wait


At the Quartermaine mansion...

Skye & Edward give their last pleas to Lila, each hoping she’ll choose them as ELQ CEO. In the end, she decides they will be co-CEOs. Edward is angry and Skye is okay with it, or at least is pretending to be okay with it. Edward wants to immediately buy her out, but Skye isn’t interested.


At the Cassidine stables...

Gia is dressed for her horseback riding lesson, looking for Nikolas in the stable. As she gets the equipment, who should sneak up behind her but Helena!?!
