General Hospital Update for Friday, 15-Mar-2002

T.G.I.F.

LISTEN TO ME…
Mike chastises Sonny for not eating breakfast but Sonny brushes off the fatherly concern and urges Mike to find a way to make Courtney listen to reason before he's forced to take drastic actions. Mike promises to try his best and appears to have the beginnings of an idea or plan before Sonny leaves.

TWO(?) FOR THE ROAD…
A.J. awakens in the morning to find Courtney still sitting by his hospital bed. A.J. slyly continues to worm his way deeper and deeper into Courtney's heart. He tells her the only way to keep out of Sonny’s reach is to leave town. Courtney asks him to stay because “it’s not fair”. AJ tells her how Lily died in a car bomb meant for Sonny. Then offers to “protect” her from the same fate by asking her to go with him when he leaves. Courtney tells him she doesn’t love him, but after AJ assures her it doesn’t matter to him she is tempted to go with him. Mike arrives and after speaking with her alone, convinces Courtney to go to lunch with him. Later, AJ wonders (out loud) if Mike is working with Sonny, but Courtney assures him that Sonny would NEVER ask Mike for help with ANYTHING.

WARNING: PROCEED WITH CAUTION!…
Luke is collared for impersonating a doctor at GH. Mac releases Luke but warns him to keep his distance from Helena. Luke warns Mac that Helena is faking. After a summons from Luke, Roy arrives and learns that Luke thinks Helena is faking her illness in an attempt to escape. Nikolas visits his grandmother, who insists on speaking with him alone despite warnings from Gia, Lucky and Mac. Once alone with him she utters a cryptic message and instructs him to puzzle out its meaning. Meanwhile, Lucky fills Sarah in on Helena’s attempt to poison Liz and advises her to remove herself from Helena’s care giving staff. Later, Sarah apologies to Lucky for the way she has been on his back about Liz and promises he will have her support in his attempt to recapture their love because she can see that he is still the “great guy” she knew before.

DAMAGE CONTROL…
Zander offers to pay for the damage he caused at the club, but Carly assures him that it's she and Sonny who owe him for saving Sonny from an assault charge. Carly is determined to put an end to A.J.'s manipulations of Courtney, but when she says as much to Zander he warns her that Sonny will handle it and any interference from her will only end badly for Sonny. But since that never stops her, she starts to formulate a plan as soon as Zander leaves.

YOU’VE GOT TO GIVE A LITTLE…
Reginald and Edward clash over Lila’s breakfast. Later, Edward grumbles when Skye drops by to see Lila with a large bouquet of flowers. After breakfast, Lila has Reginald escort Edward out so that she can speak with Skye. Skye ends up pouring her heart out to a sympathetic Lila about her problems especially the one involving Jax. Lila asks Skye why it's so important for her to regain control of ELQ.

Q&A TIME…
Sonny shows up at Janine’s and demands answers on how AJ and Courtney managed to connect. He guesses (correctly) that Janine is willing to overlook AJ’s shortcomings because of the size of his trust fund. Janine denies it, but Sonny’s theory is confirmed when her cell phone rings. Sonny picks it up, but doesn’t say anything. Not realizing who is on the other end AJ tells Janine that the plan is in trouble and he needs her help ASAP. Sonny accuses Janine of “selling” Courtney for a chance at a big payoff and not caring that AJ is only using her. Upset, Janine blurts out that A.J. intends to marry her daughter. With one last disgusted look at Janine, Sonny heads out the door.



FRIDAY CLIFFHANGERS…
Carly arrives at the Q mansion where Edward tries to prevent her from entering unless she brought Michael for a visit. Carly pushes her way in and tells him she is there to help save AJ’s worthless hide…in case anybody cares…

Courtney arrives home to find a concerned Janine waiting on her. Courtney informs her mother that she is only home to change clothing then going out to lunch, but doesn’t mention it’s with Mike. Courtney confides in Janine that AJ has asked her to go away with him, and then asks if Janine thinks she should go. Courtney is speechless, when Janine (with a big smile) happily says, “YES”…

At GH, Mac gets called away, as Helena is being wheeled into the elevator to be taken to surgery. Before leaving he gives Luke one final warning to stay away from her and tells the officers to arrest Luke if they even see him on the same floor. Typically, as soon as Mac departs, Luke and Roy split up and head for the surgical floor. Luke arrives first and sees the gurney outside of the OR; he gives Helena a typical Luke greeting, but is stunned when the woman looks up and tells him there has been a mistake. It’s NOT Helena…

Elsewhere at GH, Sonny enters AJ’s room, draws the shade and slowly approaches the bed. AJ watches with apprehension and FEAR showing clearly on his face…
