General Hospital Update for Thursday, 14-Mar-2002

At the jail...

Helena keels over in pain, Luke watching all the while and not lifting a finger to help. Mac finally shows up and wants to know what is going on. He says Helena IS sick and is set for abdominal surgery, she’s been checked out. Mac insists it’s serious. Luke doesn’t buy it.


At Wyndermere...

Lucky runs into Sarah as she is leaving for the hospital to work the graveyard shift. Things are awkward between them. Lucky looks in on Elizabeth and asks himself why can’t he love her?!

Meanwhile, Nikolas & Gia arrive home after the club opening and Nikolas is livid over Sonny’s treatment of Gia. He says he can deal with Sonny and makes some phone calls to check out Sonny’s money trails. Gia thinks he is going too far. Nikolas explains that this is a lot more serious than just a traffic accident and he will not let anyone hurt her and he will not be crossed by anyone. Lucky walks in and wonders what is going on. Gia leaves and Lucky gives his warning to Nikolas about turning into his father. Lucky asks Nikolas if he set it up to protect Gia, but Nikolas won’t admit anything to his brother. He insists he didn’t do anything to help Gia, and that she didn’t need help. He also thanks Lucky for pointing out he sounds like his father. Nikolas brings up Lucky’s treatment of Elizabeth and points out that they both are acting similarly, trying to protect people they love.

Gia bursts in on Elizabeth and wakes her up. She starts chatting about the party and the great time Elizabeth missed. She tells her how Sonny cornered her and even asks Elizabeth’s help to ask Sonny to get off her case. As she is rambling on, Elizabeth remembers that the light was red. Once she remembers, she volunteers to call Sonny to tell him that she remembers, but Gia cuts her off and goes right back to talking about the club and how she is the Face of Deception still. Elizabeth falls back asleep.

Nikolas falls asleep and has a nightmare that he is on trial. Stavros is a judge and beckons to Nikolas to follow him and his ways to keep Gia. Nikolas wakes up in a sweat.


At Club 101...

AJ & Courtney kiss. Everyone is looking. Sonny is furious and heads over to do something about it. Alexis tries to calm him down. Carly tries to stop him. Skye tries to stop her brother. Everything is happening in slow motion. Finally, Zander steps up and punches AJ. The boys scuffle. The women scream. In the end, AJ is bloody and Courtney is upset. Taggert yells at Zander; Carly & Alexis try to prevent an arrest. AJ finally says he isn’t going to press charges. Sonny once again warns Courtney to stay away from AJ. AJ makes a speech thanking Carly and saying he was sorry that things went wrong, blah blah blah. Then, he collapses. Skye calls for help. Once AJ is taken to the hospital, the club shuts down basically. Most people leave. Jax congratulates Carly and then tells Zander their deal is off, it is obvious that his loyalties remain to Sonny. Jax is surprised that Skye hasn’t gone to hold AJ’s hand at the hospital. Skye lets him have it and tells him he has no idea what it is like to be a loser, how great it must be to be so blessed and privileged. She is very bitter.


At the hospital...

Sarah is taking care of Helena. Luke is in the ER, dressed as a doctor. Sarah tells him he should leave, but he wants to make sure that Sarah knows what Helena did to Lucky and Elizabeth, specifically, that she tried to kill Elizabeth. A policeman comes in and arrests Luke for impersonating a doctor.

Meanwhile, AJ is checked out by Alan, who doesn’t really find anything wrong. AJ asks if he can at least stay in the hospital for a day or two. Alan says there is no reason for that. AJ begs to stay, says it is his only chance to get Michael back.


At Mike’s place...

Sonny knocks on the door and asks for his help.
