General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 12-Mar-2002

AT WYNDEMERE:
Tired of her self-righteousness, Lucky urges Sarah to quit harping on his treatment of Liz. He wonders where Sarah's compassion went and Sarah apologizes. Lucky assures her that his feelings for Liz are sincere. Sarah says she thinks his intentions are good but his eyes don't reflect true love. Lucky senses that Sarah has been badly hurt and asks her about it. Sarah doesn’t want to talk and goes outside for some air; Lucky follows. Sarah wanders down to the stables of Wyndemere and cries as she re-reads a worn note she removes from her pocket. Cold and wet, Sarah wraps herself in a horse blanket. Lucky searches for her as the storm continues (Funny how it’s only raining on Spoon Island). Sarah takes off her wet shirt just as Lucky walks in. They stare at each other in silence. Lucky apologizes, grabs a blanket and puts it over Sarah’s shoulders. Sarah leaves and Lucky looks longingly after her. He picks up her wet shirt with a puzzled look on his face.

SONNY’S SAFE HOUSE:
AJ proves himself to be a wonderful con man as he manages to convince Courtney to go along with his plan. With claims that he has to stand up to Sonny, no matter what the consequences, he urges her to attend Carly’s opening with him.

OUTSIDE CLUB 101:
While a bevy of reporters look on and wonder what is going on, Sonny assures Alexis that there isn’t anything she can't tell him. She searches for the right words to apologize for Kristina telling him that Alexis is in love with him. Sonny tries to guess what's on Alexis' mind but to no avail. Alexis rushes in to the club to collect her thoughts.

INSIDE CLUB 101:
Gia chooses to drink sparkling water instead of champagne because she's afraid of what people will say.
Alexis confronts Kristina over her indiscretion.
Ned happily informs Skye that Jax gave his ELQ shares to Lila.
Carly feels unfulfilled because Sonny hasn't shown up. Jax advises her to move on and make a concerted effort to get over Sonny. Carly confesses that she is afraid that Sonny will haunt her forever. Skye interrupts their conversation and calls Jax a lying jerk. Carly leaves Jax and Skye alone. When Skye accuses Jax of punishing her, he replies that if that had been his intention, he would have given the shares to Edward. Jax claims that the greatest reward he got from giving up his shares was to get away from Skye. Skye is crushed and wallows in self-pity for a few moments. Jax asks what Skye wants to tell him. Jax can't figure out if he's being fooled again. Skye insists that she's made a lot of changes because of her deep feelings for Jax. Jax asks Skye if she's willing to take a risk and lay all her cards on the table. Skye insists that she wants nothing from Jax and walks off with confidence. But, once she is out of sight, she cries.
Bobbie instructs Scott to lighten up and pretend that he's having a good time.
Carly lights up when Sonny finally arrives. He compliments her on the club and comments that it's not as "in your face" as he expected and admits that he sometimes misses that attitude.
Sonny interrupts their conversation, but Alexis whisks Kristina away to continue the conversation in the ladies room. Kristina apologizes for telling Sonny, but adds that she did it because of how he treated Alexis. Alexis is even more upset when she finds out that Kristina went back to try to convince Sonny she was wrong about Alexis’ feelings for him. Kristina pushes Alexis to admit her feelings for the mobster, but Alexis chooses to guzzle Champagne instead. Alexis is totally humiliated because she thinks Sonny feels sorry for her. Kristina suggests that maybe Sonny feels the same way about Alexis that Alexis feels about him. Alexis warns Kristina stop interfering in her life.
Ned and Kristina make up and Kristina vows to never meddle in anyone's business again.
Zander and Carly dance together.
Sonny approaches Gia (and Nik) and mentions that he talked to Courtney and assured his sister that he believed that she didn't ruin the red light. Gia asks if Sonny is implying that she lied about the accident. Sonny claims he only wants the truth and Nik suggests that Sonny just forget about it. When Sonny leaves Nik and Gia alone, a worried Gia is ready to tell the truth but Nik won't hear of it. Taggert asks if everything is okay and they assure him that there is no problem. Nik cautions Gia not to tell THEIR secret to anyone.

Everything comes to an abrupt standstill when AJ and Courtney appear at the door together.
