General Hospital Update for Monday, 25-Feb-2002

At Carly’s office...

Kristina arrives and wonders what is going on between Carly & Zander. Carly can’t believe that Kristina is actually there, asking these questions. But, finally, she says nothing is going on. Kristina suggests she tell this news to Zander, informing her how upset he was on the docks. Carly grabs her coat and heads out to find Zander.


At Sonny’s office...

Sonny asks Zander for more details about the kissing guy. He explains that Carly’s behavior is self-destructive and he wants to save Michael. Zander gets angry and tells Sonny his assessment of Carly’s behavior is all wrong and then wonders why Sonny really cares so much. “Why not take her back if you care so much?” Zander asks. Sonny is not happy that his lackey has an attitude or an opinion and tells Zander he is acting defensive and should mind his own business. (HELLO??!! Isn’t he talking to the guy he hired to be IN his business??) Sonny does not like what he is hearing at all. Then he starts in on if Jax was the kisser, then Carly lied straight to his face and if so, then everything is over. (Isn’t it already? Divorce papers.) Carly has come here and is standing outside the door, but bursts in and promises Sonny that next time she kisses someone, he won’t know about it, that she only told him because she was hurt about the flowers sent to Alexis. Sonny grabs his coat and tells Zander he doesn’t pay him enough as he walks out. Alone with Zander, Carly realizes that he didn’t own up to being the kisser because he was trying to save her, not because he didn’t want to lose his job or Sonny’s loyalty. She is grateful. He doesn’t want her gratitude, he just didn’t want to be the reason why she & Sonny could never get back together. He is fed up, though, and tells her he is through.


At the hospital...

Lucky & Liz flirt. Sarah shows up and the sisters tease each other. Liz needs sleep, though, and outside her room, Sarah speaks her mind to Lucky about his treatment of her sister. Why is he pushing with this love thing? Maybe they just outgrew each other, Sarah suggests. She & Nikolas used to love each other, but they outgrew that. How long is he going to keep trying to love Liz, she wonders. Lucky tries to explain that they did not outgrow each other. He resents Sarah suggesting he give up.


At PCPD...

Bobbie visits Melissa in jail and offers to help. Go figure, Melissa isn’t interested. Bobbie tries to suggest Melissa show some remorse, not throw her life away but salvage what’s left of it. Melissa vows to make people understand what she did. Scott shows up and backs Bobbie up, tries to make Melissa understand that a jury is not going to be sympathetic, suggests she plead insanity. Melissa thinks she will be vindicated. Mac shows up to take her away. Scott cannot believe Bobbie showed up to visit her rival in jail and try to talk some sense into her. Bobbie admits she sort of feels responsible for Melissa even being in Port Charles. Outside, Mac asks Melissa if there is anything she wants him to tell Roy. At first it seems like she does have a message for him, but at the last second, she shrugs it off and says, “No, tell him nothing, it’s over.” Last words. (Good-bye Jensen :-()


At Windermere...

Nikolas admits to Alexis that he is afraid of the power he has. She asks what he means. He tries to change the subject to Sonny, but that only leads to a discussion of the car accident and Alexis surmises Nikolas may have used that power he is afraid of to hide the truth. Nikolas is annoyed at her insinuations. Alexis points out that if he did cover up for Gia, then he is becoming his father. Nikolas admits that he dreamt of Stavros. Alexis says the dream is just due to all the stress he’s under. Kristina arrives and wants the name of a good real estate agent. Nikolas is happy that they are moving and offers use of Windermere. It’s big enough for the whole Cassidine clan. Kristina is thrilled, but Alexis says the move is not certain, as far as she is concerned. After Alexis leaves, Kristina kicks herself for saying the wrong thing yet again.


At the Triple H ranch…...

Roy & Felicia are fighting off the goons inside, while Jennifer holds a gun on Luke & Laura outside. Luke tries to talk Jennifer down, convincing her that the marriage is still on, but Jennifer is not the sucker they seem to think she is. Of course, when Laura tries that clever trick, “Look over there,” Jennifer falls for it, Luke grabs her gun and the Spencers take off to safety. Roy & Felicia successfully fight off the goons and Jennifer and call the cops, but when the sheriff shows up, he doesn’t quite believe Roy’s story (where are the hostages, after all?) and takes Roy & Felicia to the jail. Meanwhile, Luke & Laura find safety in some sort of cave. As they argue over whether Laura should stay there alone or not, dirt starts to fall and suddenly, AVALANCHE!!!


In the penthouse hallway...

Alexis struggles to get her key to work in her lock when Sonny shows up and tells her he is letting go. He’s not going to jump when Carly wants him to anymore. He also thanks Alexis for being his friend and says he is very lucky to have her. Alexis takes the opportunity to tell him she is moving out.
