General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 19-Feb-2002

Today's episode was bordering on being rather ridiculous. However, one scene with Laura, Luke, and his former flame Jennifer (Sally Struthers) was a hoot! Luke uses his charm, intellect, and "psychological know how" to rid himself of Jennifer's plan to marry him and to get rid of Laura.Luke said"Let's have a trial". Yet, as the attorney , he almost did too great a job which ,"kind of back fired". Laura was on trial for having killed Damian, Jen's bro. Jennifer was the determined judge, but with an astute lawyer and an all- male jury, Laura was found "NOT GUILTY". Now, BIG JEN is ready to have both their heads since Luke said:" I can't marry you''.One redeeming thought that Luke did hear was that Laura wants to remarry him. Yet, Laura, at this point, is enraged sooooooo.She is not giving him a reponse.
Kristina asks Ed to forgive her for telling him that she had told Sonny that Alexis loved him. Ed said:" That's not what bothered me". What did bother Ed? This reviewer is not quite sure. One does know that Kristina and Ed kissed ,and made up.She even baked him cookies .
Zander is furious with Carly for telling Sonny that" a stranger" had kissed her. He asks Carly what kind of ruthless game is she playing. He is angry and hurt because he senses that she has used him to "get back at Sonny" WELL.....Zander tells Carly to leave and to have a good life. In the meantime, Alexis tells Sonny that she knew where he had gone, etc. Obviously, She is feeling mixed emotions too. She tells him that it is ok for him to be angry with Carly. Sonny and She have a spat, and both look unhappy and disgruntled.
Jax is definitely on to Skye's childish games. At first, he is not going to her rescue. She has supposedly been locked in a cold room by Sonny's men. When Jax does finally come to help her, he sees that the room has been bugged. He is furious with Skye . WAY TO GO, JAX! :-)THIS DECEITFUL, "GAME- PLAYING CHICK" NEEDS TO BE REBUFFED BY JAX.To this reviewer, this game of deception is getting OLD.Jax deserves better !
Courtney tells AJ that She doesn't understand why he has bought her these Designer clothes. She says:" For just a minute ,I thought that you were different from others. Perhaps, Sonny was right about you." She starts to leave, and a fake AJ tells her that he is sorry,and that he did not mean to mislead her. OF course, Courtney thought that he was ,in essence," buying her".AJ continues to tell her that that's not the plan.He says: " I am attracted to you, but I will not touch you."This was ,indeed, a show of apologies and hurt feelings. What will the repercussions be? Will Zander really try to forget Carly? Will Jax really blow off Skye's deceptive acts? Will Sonny realize that he has hurt Alexis and try to resolve the tension between them? Will the angry ,rejected Jennifer slay Laura and Luke?Who knows?
