General Hospital Update for Monday, 18-Feb-2002

Being held captive...

Luke is shocked to see Laura. He told her he didn’t want her to come, he just wanted her to send help. He is really dismayed to find out that she has come alone. Laura says she sort of recognizes the goons holding Luke and he informs her that they are Frank Smith’s men and he is being held by Jennifer Smith, who wants to marry him. Laura finds that hysterical. Luke is annoyed that she is so amused. Laura thinks he should go ahead with the wedding to Jennifer. Luke thinks it is because she doesn’t want to marry him and starts regretting everything he had done to try to get Laura back. Laura finally is able to explain that if he agrees to marry Jennifer, she will eventually have to uncuff him and he can get away then. They start in on what happened in Beecher’s Corners, but decide it isn’t the place. Laura furiously tries to unlock Luke’s handcuffs before Jennifer and the goons show up with his dinner. Luke tells her to go, to stop being stubborn and get away while it’s safe. She manages to free him. They share a kiss.


At Jax’s place...

Skye has revealed her plan to get Sonny, but Jax doesn’t approve. Jax explains his plans, to go to Zander and offer money. Jax is counting on Zander revealing this to some of Sonny’s other lackeys, some who might actually want the money. Skye doesn’t like Jax’s plan. Jax tells her to stay away from Sonny. As they argue over which plan to follow, Sonny shows up. Skye starts yelling at him. Jax escorts her out before she can do more damage. Sonny apparently thinks Jax is the one who kissed Carly and lets him have it, threatens him. Sonny tells Jax to stop using Carly; Jax tells Sonny to stop threatening Skye. Sonny says he isn’t interested in Skye and isn’t threatening her and tells Jax that if doesn’t stay away from Carly (“his woman”), then Jerry (Jax’s brother) is in trouble.


At Zander’s place...

Carly tells Zander she is going to throw herself an “I’m free” party and Zander is the only guest. She is going to throw caution to the wind, go crazy and wild. She flirts with him and “extends an invitation.” Zander is really interested, but isn’t going to go through with it. He explains that Carly & Sonny are still in love and he doesn’t want to be used and he doesn’t want to be disloyal to Sonny. He tries to get it through her thick skull that Sonny still loves her, regardless of what he says or does. Carly says she is ready to move on in her life, whether it is with Zander or someone else. Sonny shows up at Zander’s door and accuses him of doing a bad job at keeping an eye on Carly. Zander realizes that Sonny knows Carly kissed someone, but that Sonny thinks that person was Jax.


At AJ’s place...

AJ brings some “boredom busters” to Courtney. He offers her some movies to keep her busy. She is especially thrilled about “Pretty Woman,” which is one of her all-time favorites. When Skye shows up, eager for AJ’s help on her latest scheme, he first gets her to help him. He asks for the details of “Pretty Woman,” and decides it is perfect.


At AJ’s favorite meat locker...

AJ has taken Skye to the meat locker that he had been held in. The plan is that she calls Jax and tells him she’s been thrown in the meat locker so that Jax’s anger at Sonny is sustained. AJ tries to talk her out of it, but she is insistent. He leaves and locks her in. Then she places her call.


At Alexis’ penthouse...

Alexis tries to understand why Kristina wants her to move. She thinks Kristina is the one with the problem, that she is obsessed with Sonny. Kristina tells Alexis she is going to save her, whether she wants her to or not. Sonny is still in love with Carly and she doesn’t want Alexis to get hurt. Alexis denies, denies, denies she has any extra feelings for Sonny. Kristina is about to tell her for the fortieth time that she mentioned to Sonny that Alexis loves him, but alas, Jax interrupts and has urgent business with Alexis, so Kristina once again can’t tell her news. Jax warns Alexis to get away from Sonny, because he is going to bring him down. He tells her that Sonny is mentally unbalanced. He mentions what Sonny is doing to Skye. Alexis thinks that is absurd. She says if Skye is just manipulating him. Alexis insists that while Sonny is rude and his behavior is often appalling, he would never physically cause harm to a woman. Just as Jax is mulling over the possibility of Skye setting him up, his cell phone rings. It’s Skye; “I need help!” she says.


At the gym...

Carly is at the gym. First, she trips. Then, she starts lifting weights that are too heavy. Kristina shows up to help save her and then asks a favor. She wants to know what is up with Carly & Sonny. Carly loudly announces that she is free and looking to fly and she’s excited to see what’s out there. All the guys at the gym applaud.


Back at AJ’s place...

AJ is playing Richard Gere to the tilt and offers expensive, pretty new clothes for Courtney. She is thrilled.
