General Hospital Update for Friday, 1-Feb-2002

Once again I find myself saying T.G.I.F. becuase most of the best stuff happens on Fridays.

“AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN”
(PC HOTEL PENTHOUSE)
Sonny pays a call on A.J. and the two discuss the delicate balance needed to maintain ‘peace’. After a couple of thinly veiled warnings from Sonny AJ reveals that he's hired a couple of muscle men as protection. AJ further taunts Sonny by revealing that since Courtney is now a neighbor, he might not be able to avoid ‘accidental’ meeting with her.
Sonny is less than impressed by AJ’s burly “assistant” and “trainer” but agrees with AJ that “accidents do happen”.

“WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE”
(GH)
When Skye tries to convince Edward that he DREAMED her confession, Edward gleefully throws Skye's own words back into her face to prove he has the upper hand. Edward threatens to reveal Skye's scheme to Jax unless she makes him CEO of ELQ once again. Skye calls tries to bluff by saying it doesn’t matter since Jax won’t believe Edward. Edward points out even if Jax doesn’t believe him the seed of doubt will be planted. From that point on Jax will scrutinize all of Skye’s tricks more carefully and will eventually catch on to her. Skye refuses to give in and Edward insists on seeing Jax. Jax and Alan enter and after a little hemming and hawing, Edward announces that Skye has had a change of heart. To prove she is a better person than everyone believed, Skye is going to appoint him CEO of ELQ again. Edward then slyly challenges Skye to contradict him. Alan is very pleased with the turn of events, Jax is merely curious. Outside of Edward’s room, Skye tells Jax that she is just humoring her grandfather to speed his recovery. When he is well enough she’ll find him a job at ELQ, but NOT as CEO.


“THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR”

In typical Amy fashion, she makes a big deal upon learning that Bobbie has a dinner date with Scott. Despite Bobbie’s assurance that it is just two friends having dinner, Amy says that it’s about time the two got together and helped each other get over their last relationships. Amy is unaware that Scott has arrived and is overhearing her little speech. After a red faced Amy excuses herself, Bobbie tells Scott they should avoid being seen together. “Why?” asks Scott. Bobbie replies that with Amy’s gossip spreading abilities the whole hospital will know about the date soon. They agree to meet in the parking lot to avoid adding to the gossip mill, but as Scott enters the elevator he is on the phone whipping out instructions. (There is a gleam in his eyes that has one wondering what mischief he is up to).

“THE MAN IS MINE”
(PC GRILL)
After sitting through Gia’s touchy-feely, kissy-kissy routine, Nikolas pulls her aside and tries to reassure his green-eyed fiancée that he loves HER and is NOT interested in Sarah Webber. After some more small talk and a few catty remark from Gia directed at Sarah, the five-some agree to a group outing with Nik making the arrangements. Gia and Liz leave together. Nik has business at GH, which leaves Sarah and Lucky alone together, much to GIA’S dismay.

“IT’S MY PARTY-I’LL INVITE WHO I WANT TO”
(PC SUITE MIKE’S SUITE)
Courtney treats an amused Mike to a grown-up version of the tea parties they used to have when she was younger. When Janine arrives, however, she and Mike both realize they've been set up. After Court does a little pleading, Mike and Janine manage to force a smile and recount a few happy memories from the old days in order to please her. Sonny arrives and wants to speak with Mike. Courtney refuses to let him in, until Mike says its O.K. Sonny wastes no time in ripping into Mike for bringing Courtney to live in the same building where AJ (his sworn enemy) lives. Mike claims Sonny never told him AJ was trying to use Courtney, but Sonny maintains Mike should have known better. Even Janine gets a taste of Sonny’s displeasure when she comments that AJ isn’t such a bad person. Sonny orders his sister to pack up and move back to Alexis’ until he can find her another place. But Courtney, upset by yet another quarrel between her father and her brother, takes off with Mike’s car keys. Mike then lays into Sonny for treating Courtney like a prisoner.

“THIS TIME IT’S REALLY REAL”
(GH)
A nurse delivers an envelope to Skye. When she opens it, she pales and gets shaky. Jax takes the envelope and discovers a picture of Skye with a red “X” across her face and message “leave while you still can”. Jax automatically assumes it’s from Sonny and tells Skye he is going to see the mobster and put and end to the harassment. Skye is unable to stop him, without revealing that all the other incidents where her own doing. Skye is stunned when shortly after arriving; AJ admits that HE sent the picture. AJ tells Skye about Sonny’s visit and how since he is too chicken to go after Sonny himself, he figured having Jax do it was the next best thing. Plus, he thought Skye’s plan could use the boost. Skye tells AJ that she currently has a bigger problem than manipulating Jax (referring to Edward’s blackmail).

“THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR II”
(GH)
As Bobbie primps for her non-date with Scott, Amy apologizes for her early embarrassing speech. Scott arrives wearing a dinner suit, carrying a dozen pink roses and a dress bag. He tells Bobbie that the plan had changed-they are going dancing at the ‘Tango Moon’. Bobbie is flattered by Scott’s attention and goes off to change into the gown he purchased for her.

“THE BUTT-OUT-SKI”
(PC GRILL)
Sarah confides in Lucky that Liz was upset that he discussed the non-wedding with her. When Lucky asks her for advice, she says she doesn’t want to get in the middle, plus she is no whiz at relationships herself, but does end up offer him some advice in regards to his relationship with Liz. She tells him to go back to the basic. She reminds him that in the first go-round, Liz fell in love with him because he was able to give her what she needed at the time, so he should do the same again. Later, Sarah claims to have no interest in dating at the moment.

“HERE WE GO AGAIN“
(SONNY’S OFFICE)
Sonny orders his men to look for Courtney. He specifically tells them NOT to physically remove her from the car, just let him know where she is. The men leave and Sonny starts to open a box with an exact-o-knife when Jax knocks on the door and asks Sonny for a moment of his time (quite politely too!)


“TWO CARS THAT MEET IN THE NIGHT”
(STREETS OF PC)
^This scene jumped back an forth several time between the two vehicles^
Car 1-Gia comments to passenger Liz that she can’t believe Liz didn’t notice how Sarah was flirting with Nik.
Car 2-Courtney drives while wiping tears from her eyes.
C1-Liz defends her sister saying she wasn’t flirting she was just being herself-nice.
C2-Courtney continues to drive while wiping tears from her face.
C1-Liz tells Gia Sarah isn’t man crazy, men just like her. Too which Gia retorts that in case Liz hadn’t noticed BOTH Nik and Lucky ARE men.
C2-Courtney drives and wipes and turns on the radio. The song playing is “Every breath you take” by the police.
C1-Liz comments that Sarah is like a beautiful Mother Theresa and turns on the radio (same song). Gia wants to turn the dial because the song is “too retro” (dig at Sarah). Liz says “leave it, I love this song”.
Gia turns toward Liz telling her now naïve she is; Liz yells out that the light is red…
C2-Courtney sees the headlight come straight at her…
C1-Gia shouts, steps on the brakes, turns the wheel…
C2-Courtney turns the wheel…
Sound of squealing tires…
Looks of horror on everyone’s face…
Loud CRASH sounds…
Blank screen…
