1. Wyndemere - “Like Father, Like Son?” - Gia arrives in the hallway outside Nikolas’ study at Wyndemere in time to eavesdrop on his conversation with his mother. Nikolas tells Laura that Stavros is more real to him now than when he was alive. He asks her if she sees his father when she looks at him. Laura says there’s a physical resemblance, yes, but on the inside they are completely different. Nikolas lets her know he found a letter from Stavros, written on the day he was born, full of love and hope. How can a man who loves like that do what he did? Nikolas wants to know. Laura has no easy answer but she asks if he’s talked to Gia about this. As his love’s ears perk up out in the hall, Nikolas says no, he doesn’t want to, because Gia wouldn’t understand. Gia chooses to enter the room but acts surprised to find Laura there and says she hopes she wasn’t interrupting anything. Laura asks if she’s sure she won’t sign on for a second year with Deception. Gia says she will finish out her contract with the company, but then she wants her marriage to be her top priority. Laura says she understands and leaves. As Nikolas settles behind his desk again, Gia asks if there’s anything he wants to talk about. Not at all, Nikolas replies.

2. Carly’s Office at the Club-to-Be - “Will the Real Carly Please Stand Up?” - Carly is understandably upset that Sonny has been paying Zander to spy on her. He doesn’t want me in business with Jax, she rants; he doesn’t think I’m smart enough. The ever-loyal Zander says Sonny’s intentions were good. He’s trying to control me, Carly sums it up, and you were wrong to pretend to be my friend. Zander professes the friendship to be real and says he hopes he hasn’t messed it up. Carly admits she’s only had three friends in her life, and since he’s the only one still around, she’ll keep him. She thanks him for telling her the truth and tries to dissuade him from telling Sonny about this conversation. Then she wants to know if Zander reported back to Sonny her feelings about him. Zander says he never told his boss any personal stuff, and he points out that if they’re to remain friends, she can’t second-guess everything he says from now on. Carly agrees, and Zander leaves. Carly calls Jax and says she’s decided to burn down the club for the insurance money.

3. A.J.’s Suite - “A.J. Quartermaine: A.K.A. Prince Charming” - A.J. “reluctantly” invites Courtney in and then shoos his sister out the door. Courtney asks him point blank: did Sonny take A.J.’s son from him? A.J. evades answering by repeating how he doesn’t want Courtney caught in the middle of his battle with Sonny. Courtney demands an answer to her question. A.J. tells her he never gave up Michael. Courtney says it’s terrible that Sonny took his son because he blamed him for the loss of his and Carly’s child. A.J. offers her a way to escape when people start putting too much pressure on her; he presents her with a check for $10,000. Courtney instantly wants to know what strings are attached. A.J. says it’s his family’s fault that she’s in town and her life has gotten so complicated. He puts the check in his desk drawer and gives her a key. She can come by any time to get it, he says. Courtney reveals that she and Mike are staying in the hotel now and she leaves to go back to their suite.

4. Port Charles Gym - “Skye Quartermaine: A.K.A. Damsel who Can Take Care of Herself” - Skye manages to run into Jax at the gym and lets it slip that she’s given up being a better person, because it almost got her and A.J. killed. Knowing this is a set-up, Jax still can’t help but ask what she’s talking about. Skye fills him in on all the gory details about the scene with Sonny in the parking garage. Jax warns her she’s in over her head, but Skye says she can take care of herself and flounces out of the gym.

5. Mike’s Suite - “Mike and Courtney: A.K.A. Father and Daughter” - Courtney arrives at the suite she and her father are sharing. Mike says he doesn’t want this living arrangement to be at the expense of her relationship with her brother. He clues her in on the fact that Sonny has a hard time forgiving people. Then he asks if she can forgive him? Courtney says she doesn’t know; she’s still getting used to the idea of him being alive. She points out that she’s not a kid and she won’t report back to him all the time. Mike promises to respect her privacy.

6. Carly’s Office at the Club-to-Be - “Venting about her Ex” - Jax arrives right on cue to make sure Carly hasn’t torched his investment, just in time to get an earful about Sonny. Jax agrees that Sonny is a control freak and points out it makes him dangerous. Hearing Jax criticize her man makes Carly change her tune; Sonny thinks he knows what’s best for the people he cares about, but he doesn’t know what’s best for me. Jax asks if she wants his help with dealing with Sonny. Carly says she’ll handle Sonny herself.

7. A.J.’s Suite - “A.J. the Winner” - Skye returns to find her brother in a good mood. She astutely observes she can’t remember ever seeing him like this. Meet A.J. the winner, her brother declares. He offers some advice: there are two things to use when you want something from someone - get them to love you or capitalize on their hatred for someone else. Skye muses aloud that she knows which one would work for her.

8. Sonny’s Penthouse - “Honesty” - Having just told Sonny she wants to tell him how she feels about him, Alexis can’t get the words out (surprise, surprise). Sonny tries to guess what she’s trying to say. In some lame attempt at an apology (I think), Sonny explains that he doesn’t like to talk about his childhood because he learned to keep his mouth shut when he was a kid or he’d get smacked. He admits he shouldn’t have asked for her help with Courtney. Then he asks if she wants to stop being his lawyer. Johnny comes in and says the building super needs to see Alexis about her broken oven. She leaves. She comes back later and says she’s not quitting, but she’s decided to take her cue from Sonny and keep quiet about her feelings. For guess number two, Sonny assumes she wants a favor. He tells her that if she needs something she should just say the word. He wants to know why she’s stalling. Alexis manages to get out that some feelings should remain unexpressed then starts babbling about her sister and how she openly expresses herself, blah, blah, blah. Johnny comes in again, and Sonny tells him he’ll be fired if he interrupts them again. While Sonny tries out his third theory that if Alexis wants more perks or more privacy, she should just be honest, the phone keeps ringing, until he is forced to answer it. When he’s done with the call, a nervous Johnny knocks on the door and says Zander is there about Carly. Zander comes in and tells Sonny that Carly knows what he’s been doing because he told her. Sonny is furious that Zander didn’t follow his orders and fires him from the warehouse job and spy gig on the spot. Then he tells him to get out! After an angry Zander leaves, Alexis tells Sonny she’s ready to express her feelings. She points out that Zander has always been loyal to him and followed his “code” by coming to him with the truth. His reward? You treat him like an incompetent and fire him, Alexis says. She observes that Sonny is incapable of making allowances for other people’s choices. You go on and on and on about your holy truth, while being a big fat hypocrite by assigning Zander to lie to Carly, Alexis tells him. I think you stink, she declares and storms out (way to go, Alexis!). Sonny is left to mull over her tirade (no hint of tears today).
